Psalmi 121

1 Svoje oči bom povzdignil h goram, od koder prihaja moja pomoč.

I have lifted up my eyes to the mountains, from whence help shall come to me.

2 Moja pomoč prihaja od Gospoda, ki je naredil nebo in zemljo.

My help is from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

3 Ne bo trpel, da bi bilo tvoje stopalo premaknjeno. On, ki te varuje, ne bo dremal.

May he not suffer thy foot to be moved: neither let him slumber that keepeth thee.

4 Glej, kdor varuje Izraela, ne bo niti dremal niti spal.

Behold he shall neither slumber nor sleep, that keepeth Israel.

5 Gospod je tvoj čuvaj; Gospod je tvoja senca na tvoji desnici.

The Lord is thy keeper, the Lord is thy protection upon thy right hand.

6 Sonce te ne bo udarilo podnevi niti luna ponoči.

The sun shall not burn thee by day: nor the moon by night.

7 Gospod te bo varoval pred vsem zlom; varoval bo tvojo dušo.

The Lord keepeth thee from all evil: may the Lord keep thy soul.

8 Gospod bo ohranil tvoje odhajanje in tvoje prihajanje od tega časa dalje in na vékomaj.

May the Lord keep thy going in and thy going out; from henceforth now and for ever.
