Psalmi 119
1 ALEF Blagoslovljeni so neomadeževani na poti, ki hodijo v Gospodovi postavi.
ALEPH. Happy are they whose way is perfect, who walk in the law of the Lord.
2 Blagoslovljeni so tisti, ki ohranjajo njegova pričevanja in ki ga iščejo z vsem srcem.
Happy are they who keep his testimonies, that seek him with all their heart.
3 Tudi ne počno krivičnosti; hodijo po njegovih poteh.
They also commit no injustice; in his ways do they walk.
4 Ti si nam ukazal, da se marljivo držimo tvojih predpisov.
Thou thyself hast commanded us thy precepts, that we might keep [them] diligently.
5 Oh, da bi bile moje poti usmerjene, da se držim tvojih zakonov!
Oh that my ways were firmly directed to observe thy statutes!
6 Potem ne bom osramočen, ko se oziram k vsem tvojim zapovedim.
Then would I not be made ashamed, while I look at all thy commandments.
7 Hvalil te bom z iskrenostjo srca, ko se bom učil tvojih pravičnih sodb.
I will thank thee with uprightness of heart, when I learn thy righteous ordinances.
8 Držal se bom tvojih zakonov; o ne zapusti me popolnoma.
Thy statutes will I observe: oh forsake me not too greatly.
9 BET S čim naj mladenič očisti svojo pot? S tem, da je pozoren nanjo, glede na tvojo besedo.
BETH. Wherewithal shall a youth keep his way pure? by guarding it according to thy word.
10 S svojim celotnim srcem te iščem; o ne pusti me oddaljiti se od tvojih zapovedi.
With all my heart have I sought thee: oh let me not wander astray from thy commandments.
11 Tvojo besedo sem skril v svoje srce, da ne bi grešil zoper tebe.
In my heart have I treasured up thy saying, in order that I may not sin against thee.
12 Blagoslovljen si ti, oh Gospod; úči me svojih zakonov.
Blessed art thou, O Lord: teach me thy statutes.
13 S svojimi ustnicami sem oznanjal vse sodbe tvojih ust.
With my lips have I related all the ordinances of thy mouth.
14 Veselil sem se na poti tvojih pričevanj, toliko kakor v vseh tvojih bogastvih.
On the way of thy testimonies have I been glad, as over all wealth.
15 Premišljeval bom o tvojih predpisih in se oziral k tvojim potem.
On thy precepts will I meditate, and direct my look unto thy paths.
16 Razveseljeval se bom v tvojih zakonih. Ne bom pozabil tvoje besede.
In thy statutes will I seek my delight: I will not forget thy word.
17 GIMEL Radodarno ravnaj s svojim služabnikom, da bom lahko živel in se držal tvoje besede.
GIMEL. Deal bountifully with thy servant: let me live, that I may observe thy word.
18 Odpri moje oči, da bom lahko gledal čudovite besede iz tvoje postave.
Open thou my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.
19 Jaz sem tujec na zemlji; svojih zapovedi ne skrivaj pred menoj.
A stranger am I on the earth: hide not from me thy commandments.
20 Moja duša slabi zaradi hrepenenja, ki ga ima ob vseh časih do tvojih sodb.
My soul is broken from longing for thy ordinances at all times.
21 Oštel si ponosne, ki so prekleti, ki zaidejo od tvojih zapovedi.
Thou hast rebuked the accursed proud, who go erringly astray from thy commandments.
22 Odstrani od mene grajo in zaničevanje, kajti držal sem se tvojih pričevanj.
Roll away from me reproach and contempt; for thy testimonies have I kept.
23 Tudi princi so sedeli in govorili zoper mene, toda tvoj služabnik je premišljeval o tvojih zakonih.
Although even princes should sit and speak against me, thy servant would still meditate on thy statutes.
24 Tvoja pričevanja so tudi moje veselje in moji svetovalci.
Also thy testimonies are my delight, my counsellors.
25 DALET Moja duša se lepi na prah, oživi me glede na svojo besedo.
DALETH. My soul cleaveth unto the dust: revive thou me according to thy word.
26 Oznanil sem svoje poti in ti si me slišal; úči me svojih zakonov.
My ways do I relate [to thee], and thou answerest me: teach me thy statutes.
27 Daj mi razumeti pot tvojih predpisov; tako bom govoril o tvojih čudovitih delih.
Cause me to understand the way of thy precepts, that I may meditate on thy wonders.
28 Moja duša se topi zaradi potrtosti; okrepi me glede na svojo besedo.
My soul droppeth away from grief: sustain me according to thy word.
29 Od mene odstrani lažnivo pot in mi milostno podéli svojo postavo.
The way of falsehood do thou remove from me, and grant me graciously thy law.
30 Izbral sem pot resnice, tvoje sodbe sem položil pred seboj.
The way of truth have I chosen: thy ordinances have I set [before me].
31 Prijel sem se tvojih pričevanj, oh Gospod; ne izroči me v sramoto.
I have adhered unto thy testimonies: O Lord, put me not to shame.
32 Tekel bom pot tvojih zapovedi, ko boš razširil moje srce.
The way of thy commandments will I run; for thou wilt enlarge my heart.
33 HE Úči me, oh Gospod, pot tvojih zakonov in tega se bom držal do konca.
HE. Teach me, O Lord, the way of thy statutes, and I shall keep it in all its windings.
34 Daj mi razumevanje in bom čuval tvojo postavo; da, obeleževal jo bom s svojim celotnim srcem.
Give me understanding, that I may keep thy law, and I will observe it with all [my] heart.
35 Stôri mi, da grem po stezi tvojih zapovedi, kajti v tem se razveseljujem.
Guide me on the path of thy commandments; for therein do I find my delight.
36 Nagni moje srce k tvojim pričevanjem, ne pa k pohlepnosti.
Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not to desire for gain.
37 Odvrni moje oči od gledanja praznih reči in oživi me na svoji poti.
Turn away my eyes from beholding vanity: on thy way do thou give me life.
38 Utrdi svojo besedo svojemu služabniku, ki je vdan tvojemu strahu.
Fulfill unto thy servant thy promise for those who are devoted to thy fear.
39 Odvrni mojo grajo, ki se je bojim, kajti tvoje sodbe so dobre.
Cause to pass away my disgrace of which I have dread; for thy ordinances are good.
40 Glej, hrepenel sem za tvojimi predpisi. Oživi me v svoji pravičnosti.
Behold, I have longed after thy precepts: through thy righteousness do thou give my life.
41 VAV Naj tvoja usmiljenja pridejo tudi k meni, oh Gospod, celó tvoja rešitev duše, glede na tvojo besedo.
VAV. And let thy kindness come unto me, O Lord, thy salvation, according to thy promise.
42 Tako bom imel kaj odgovoriti tistemu, ki me graja, kajti zaupam v tvojo besedo.
Then shall I have a word to answer the one that reproacheth me; for I trust in thy word.
43 Besede resnice pa ne vzemi popolnoma iz mojih ust, kajti [potrpežljivo] sem upal v tvoje sodbe.
And snatch not the word of truth out of my mouth too greatly; for I wait for thy ordinances.
44 Tako se bom nenehno držal tvoje postave, na veke vekov.
So shall I observe thy law continually for ever and ever.
45 Hodil bom na prostosti, kajti iščem tvoje predpise.
And I will walk in an open space; for thy precepts have I sought.
46 Tudi pred kralji bom govoril o tvojih pričevanjih in ne bom osramočen.
And I will speak of thy testimonies before kings, and will not be ashamed.
47 Razveseljeval se bom v tvojih zapovedih, ki sem jih vzljubil.
And I will delight myself in thy commandments, which I love.
48 Tudi svoje roke bom dvignil k tvojim zapovedim, ki sem jih vzljubil in premišljeval bom o tvojih zakonih.
And so will I lift up my hands unto thy commandments, which I love, and I will meditate on thy statutes.
49 ZAJIN Spomni se besede svojemu služabniku, na osnovi katere si mi storil, da upam.
ZAYIN. Remember thy word unto thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to wait.
50 To je moja tolažba v moji stiski, kajti tvoja beseda me je oživila.
This is my comfort in my affliction, that thy promise hath revived me.
51 Ponosni so me imeli silno v posmeh, vendar se nisem nagnil od tvoje postave.
The presumptuous have held me too greatly in derision: yet have I not departed away from thy law.
52 Spomnil sem se tvojih sodb od davnine, oh Gospod in se potolažil.
I remembered thy decrees [which were] from olden times, O Lord, and thus comforted myself.
53 Polastila se me je groza zaradi zlobnih, ki zapuščajo tvojo postavo.
Horror seized on me because of the wicked that forsake thy law.
54 Tvoji zakoni so bili moje pesmi v hiši mojega popotovanja.
Songs have thy statutes been unto me in the house of my pilgrimage.
55 Ponoči sem se spominjal tvojega imena, oh Gospod in se držal tvoje postave.
I remembered in the night thy name, O Lord, and observed thy law.
56 To sem imel, ker sem se držal tvojih predpisov.
This came to pass unto me, because I had kept thy precepts.
57 HET »Ti si moj delež, oh Gospod.« Rekel sem, da bom ohranjal tvoje besede.
CHETH. My portion is the Lord, have I said, that I might observe thy words.
58 S svojim celotnim srcem sem milo prosil tvojo naklonjenost; bodi mi usmiljen glede na svojo besedo.
I make entreaty before thee with all my heart: be gracious unto me according to thy promise.
59 Mislil sem na svoje poti in svoja stopala sem obrnil k tvojim pričevanjem.
I have thought over my ways, and made my feet return unto thy testimonies.
60 Podvizal sem se in nisem odlašal, da se držim tvojih zapovedi.
I hastened, and delayed not to observe thy commandments.
61 Vezi zlobnih so me oropale, toda nisem pozabil tvoje postave.
Companies of wicked men have surrounded me; but I have not forgotten thy law.
62 Opolnoči bom vstajal, da se ti zahvaljujem zaradi tvojih pravičnih sodb.
At midnights do I constantly rise to give thanks unto thee, because of thy righteous decrees.
63 Jaz sem družabnik vseh teh, ki se te bojijo in teh, ki se držijo tvojih predpisov.
An associate am I unto all that fear thee, and unto those that keep thy precepts.
64 Zemlja, oh Gospod, je polna tvojega usmiljenja; úči me svojih zakonov.
Of thy kindness, O Lord, is the earth full: teach me thy statutes.
65 TET Dobro si storil s svojim služabnikom, oh Gospod, glede na svojo besedo.
TETH. Thou hast shown goodness on thy servant, O Lord, according to thy word.
66 Úči me dobre sodbe in spoznanja, kajti veroval sem tvojim zapovedim.
The best of discernment and knowledge do thou teach me; for in thy commandments do I believe.
67 Preden sem bil užaloščen, sem zašel, toda sedaj sem se držal tvoje besede.
Before I was afflicted I was in error; but now I observe thy saying.
68 Ti si dober in delaš dobro; úči me svojih zakonov.
Thou art good, and doing good: teach me thy statutes.
69 Ponosni so zoper mene kovali laž, toda tvojih predpisov se bom držal s svojim celotnim srcem.
The presumptuous have invented falsehoods against me; but I will with all my heart indeed keep thy precepts.
70 Njihovo srce je tako rejeno kakor mast, toda jaz se razveseljujem v tvoji postavi.
Gross as fat is their heart; but I take truly delight in thy law.
71 Dobro je zame, da sem bil užaloščen, da se lahko učim tvojih zakonov.
It is well for me that I have been afflicted, in order that I might learn thy statutes.
72 Postava tvojih ust mi je boljša kakor tisoči zlata in srebra.
Better is unto me the law of thy mouth than thousands of gold and silver.
73 JOD Tvoje roke so me naredile in me oblikovale; daj mi razumevanje, da se lahko učim tvojih zapovedi.
YOD. Thy hands have made me and established me: give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments.
74 Tisti, ki se te bojijo, bodo veseli, ko me vidijo, kajti upal sem v tvojo besedo.
Those that fear thee will see me and be rejoiced; because I have waited for thy word.
75 Vem, oh Gospod, da so tvoje sodbe pravične in da si me ti v zvestobi užalostil.
I know, O Lord, that thy decrees are righteous, and that in faithfulness thou hast afflicted me.
76 Prosim te, naj bo tvoja usmiljena prijaznost za mojo tolažbo, glede na svojo besedo svojemu služabniku.
Let, I pray thee, thy kindness come to comfort me, according to thy promise unto thy servant.
77 Naj tvoja nežna usmiljenja pridejo k meni, da bom lahko živel, kajti tvoja postava je moja naslada.
Let thy mercies come unto me, that I may live; for thy law is my delight.
78 Naj bodo ponosni osramočeni, kajti brez razloga so sprevrženo ravnali z menoj, toda jaz bom premišljeval o tvojih predpisih.
Let the presumptuous be made ashamed; because they have without a cause dealt perversely with me; but I will indeed meditate on thy precepts.
79 Naj se tisti, ki se te bojijo, obrnejo k meni in tisti, ki so spoznali tvoja pričevanja.
Let those that fear thee return unto me, and those that know thy testimonies.
80 Naj bo moje srce brez graje v tvojih zakonih, da ne bom osramočen.
Let my heart be entire in thy statutes, in order that I may not be put to shame.
81 KAF Moja duša slabi zaradi tvoje rešitve duše, toda jaz upam v tvojo besedo.
CAPH. My soul ardently desireth for thy salvation: for thy word do I wait.
82 Moje oči pešajo zaradi tvoje besede, rekoč: »Kdaj me boš potolažil?«
My eyes look eagerly for thy promise, saying, When wilt thou comfort me?
83 Kajti postal sem podoben mehu v dimu, vendar ne pozabljam tvojih zakonov.
For I am become like a bottle in the smoke: [yet] do I not forget thy statutes.
84 Koliko je dni tvojega služabnika? Kdaj boš izvršil sodbo na tistih, ki me preganjajo?
How many are the days of thy servant? when wilt thou execute justice on my persecutors?
85 Ponosni, ki niso po tvoji postavi, so zame kopáli jame.
The presumptuous have dug pits for me, which is not in accordance with thy law.
86 Vse tvoje zapovedi so zanesljive; po krivem me preganjajo, pomagaj mi.
All thy commandments are founded on truth: without cause they persecute me; help thou me.
87 Na zemlji so me skoraj požrli, toda jaz nisem zapustil tvojih predpisov.
But little was wanting that they had consumed me upon earth; but I have truly not forsaken thy precepts.
88 Oživi me po svoji ljubeči skrbnosti, tako se bom držal pričevanja tvojih ust.
According to thy kindness give me life, that I may observe the testimony of thy mouth.
89 LAMED Na veke, oh Gospod, je tvoja beseda utrjena na nebu.
LAMED. To eternity, O Lord, standeth firm thy word with the heavens.
90 Tvoja zvestoba je za vse rodove; utrdil si zemljo in ta ostaja.
Unto all generations endureth thy faithfulness: thou hast established the earth, and she standeth.
91 Danes nadaljujejo glede na tvoje odredbe, kajti vsi so tvoji služabniki.
According to thy ordinances they exist this day: for all are thy servants.
92 Če ne bi bila tvoja postava moje naslade, potem bi v svoji stiski propadel.
Unless thy law had been my delights, I should long since have been lost in my affliction.
93 Nikoli ne bom pozabil tvojih predpisov, kajti oživil si me.
Never will I forget thy precepts; for with them thou hast kept me alive.
94 Jaz sem tvoj, reši me, kajti iskal sem tvoje predpise.
Thine am I, save me; for thy precepts have I sought.
95 Zlobni so čakali name, da me uničijo, toda jaz bom preudarjal tvoja pričevanja.
Wicked men have waited for me to destroy me; [but] I will reflect on thy testimonies.
96 Videl sem konec vse popolnosti, toda tvoja zapoved je silno široka.
Of all perfection have I seen the end; [but] thy commandment is exceedingly extended.
97 MEM Oh kako ljubim tvojo postavo! Ona je ves dan moje premišljevanje.
MEM. Oh how do I love thy law! all the day is it my (meditation)
98 Zaradi svojih zapovedi si me naredil modrejšega od mojih sovražnikov, kajti one so vedno z menoj.
Wiser than my enemy doth thy commandment make me; for it is perpetually with me.
99 Imam več razumevanja kakor vsi moji učitelji, kajti tvoja pričevanja so moje premišljevanje.
Above all my teachers have I obtained intelligence; for thy testimonies are my (meditation)
100 Razumem več kakor starci, ker se držim tvojih predpisov.
More than the elders do I possess understanding; because thy precepts do I keep.
101 Svoja stopala sem zadržal pred vsako zlo potjo, da bi lahko obdržal tvojo besedo.
From every evil path have I withholden my feet, in order that I might observe thy word.
102 Nisem odšel od tvojih sodb, kajti ti si me učil.
From thy ordinances have I not departed; for thou hast instructed me.
103 Kako sladke so tvoje besede mojemu okusu! Da, slajše kakor med mojim ustom.
How much sweeter are to my palate thy sayings than honey to my mouth!
104 Skozi tvoje predpise prejemam razumevanje, zato sovražim vsako napačno pot.
Through thy precepts shall I obtain understanding: therefore do I hate every path of falsehood.
105 NUN Tvoja beseda je svetilka mojim stopalom in svetloba moji stezi.
NUN. A lamp unto my feet is thy word, and a light unto my path.
106 Prisegel sem in to bom opravil, da se bom držal tvojih pravičnih sodb.
I have sworn, and I will perform it, to observe thy righteous ordinances.
107 Zelo sem užaloščen. Oživi me, oh Gospod, glede na svojo besedo.
I am afflicted exceedingly much: O Lord, revive me, according to thy word.
108 Rotim te, sprejmi prostovoljne daritve mojih ust, oh Gospod in uči me svojih sodb.
Receive in favor the freewill-offerings of my mouth, I beseech thee, O Lord, and teach me thy ordinances.
109 Moja duša je nenehno v moji roki, vendar ne pozabljam tvoje postave.
My life is in my hand continually: yet thy law do I not forget.
110 Zlobni so zame položili zanko, vendar nisem zašel od tvojih predpisov.
The wicked have laid a snare for me: yet have I not erred from thy precepts.
111 Tvoja pričevanja sem vzel kot dediščino na veke, kajti ta so veselje mojega srca.
I have taken thy testimonies as a heritage to eternity; for they are the joy of my heart.
112 Svoje srce sem nagnil, da vedno izpolnjujem tvoje zakone, celo do konca.
I have inclined my heart to perform thy statutes always, in all their ways.
113 SAMEH Sovražim prazne misli, toda ljubim tvojo postavo.
SAMECH. Those of divided thoughts I hate; but thy law do I love.
114 Ti si moje skrivališče in moj ščit; upam v tvojo besedo.
My shelter and my shield art thou: for thy word do I wait.
115 Odidite od mene, vi hudodelci, kajti držal se bom zapovedi svojega Boga.
Depart from me, ye evildoers, that I may keep the commandments of God.
116 Podpiraj me glede na svojo besedo, da bom lahko živel in zaradi svojega upanja naj ne bom osramočen.
Uphold me according to thy promise, that I may live, and let me not be made ashamed of my hope.
117 Dvigni me in bom varen in nenehno se bom oziral k tvojim zakonom.
Support me that I may be placed in safety, and I will direct my regard unto thy statutes continually.
118 Pomendral si vse tiste, ki so zašli od tvojih zakonov, kajti njihova prevara je neresnica.
Thou hast trodden down all that erringly stray from thy statutes; for falsehood is their deceit.
119 Vse zlobneže zemlje daješ na stran kakor žlindro, zato ljubim tvoja pričevanja.
Like dross dost thou put away all the wicked of the earth: therefore do I love thy testimonies.
120 Moje meso trepeta zaradi strahu pred teboj in bojim se tvojih sodb.
My flesh trembleth shudderingly from dread of thee, and of thy decrees am I afraid.
121 AJIN Storil sem sodbo in pravico; ne prepusti me mojim zatiralcem.
'AYIN. I have executed justice and righteousness: leave me not to those who oppress me.
122 Bodi pôrok za svojega služabnika v dobro; naj me ponosni ne zatirajo.
Protect thy servant for good: let not the presumptuous oppress me.
123 Moje oči pešajo zaradi tvoje rešitve duše in zaradi besede tvoje pravičnosti.
My eyes look eagerly for thy salvation, and for thy righteous promise.
124 S svojim služabnikom postopaj glede na svoje usmiljenje in uči me svojih zakonov.
Deal with thy servant according to thy kindness, and thy statutes do thou teach me.
125 Jaz sem tvoj služabnik; daj mi razumevanje, da bom lahko spoznal tvoja pričevanja.
I am thy servant: give me understanding, that I may know thy testimonies.
126 Čas je zate, Gospod, da delaš, kajti razveljavili so tvojo postavo.
It is time to act for the Lord: they have broken thy law.
127 Zato ljubim tvoje zapovedi bolj kakor zlato, da, bolj kakor čisto zlato.
Therefore do I love thy commandments more than gold, and more than fine gold.
128 Zatorej spoštujem vse tvoje predpise glede vseh stvari, da so pravilni; in sovražim vsako napačno pot.
Therefore do I esteem all thy precepts in all things as right: every path of falsehood do I hate.
129 PE Tvoja pričevanja so čudovita, zatorej se jih moja duša drži.
PE. Wonderful are thy testimonies: therefore doth my soul keep them.
130 Vstop tvojih besed daje svetlobo, to daje razumevanje preprostemu.
The opening of thy words giveth light, it giveth understanding unto the simple.
131 Odprl sem svoja usta in trepetal, kajti hrepenel sem za tvojimi zapovedmi.
I opened my mouth, and panted for breath; because for thy commandments did I long.
132 Poglej name in bodi mi usmiljen, kakor ravnaš s tistimi, ki ljubijo tvoje ime.
Turn thou unto me, and be gracious unto me, as is thy wont unto those that love thy name.
133 Odredi moje korake po svoji besedi in nobena krivičnost naj nima gospostva nad menoj.
My steps establish thou through thy promise, and suffer not any wrong to have dominion over me.
134 Osvobodi me pred človeškim zatiranjem; tako se bom držal tvojih predpisov.
Deliver me from the oppression of man, and I will observe thy precepts.
135 Stôri, da tvoj obraz sveti nad tvojim služabnikom in úči me svojih zakonov.
Let thy face shine upon thy servant, and teach me thy statutes.
136 Reke vodá iztekajo [iz] mojih oči, ker se ne držijo tvoje postave.
Streams of water have run down my eyes; because they had not observed thy law.
137 TSADE Pravičen si ti, oh Gospod in tvoje sodbe so iskrene.
TZADDE. Righteous art thou, O Lord, and upright are thy decrees.
138 Tvoja pričevanja, ki si jih zapovedal, so iskrena in zelo zanesljiva.
Thou hast commanded thy testimonies, as righteous and faithful exceedingly.
139 Moja gorečnost me je použila, ker so moji sovražniki pozabili tvoje besede.
My zeal destroyeth me; because my assailants have forgotten thy words.
140 Tvoja beseda je zelo čista, zato jo tvoj služabnik ljubi.
Thy promise is greatly refined, and thy servant loveth it.
141 Majhen sem in preziran, vendar ne pozabljam tvojih predpisov.
I am little and despised: yet thy precepts have I not forgotten.
142 Tvoja pravičnost je večna pravičnost in tvoja postava je resnica.
Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth.
143 Stiska in tesnoba sta se me polastili, vendar so tvoje zapovedi moje naslade.
Distress and trouble have overtaken me: [yet] are thy commandments my delights.
144 Pravičnost tvojih pričevanj je večna; daje mi razumevanje in jaz bom živel.
Righteous are thy testimonies for everlasting: give me understanding, that I may live.
145 KOF Klical sem z vsem svojim celotnim srcem; usliši me, oh Gospod, držal se bom tvojih zakonov.
KOPH. I have called with all my heart: answer me, O Lord: thy statutes will I keep.
146 Klical sem k tebi; reši me in držal se bom tvojih pričevanj.
I have called on thee, save me, and I will observe thy testimonies.
147 Slutil sem svitanje jutra in klical; upal sem v tvojo besedo.
I come before thee in the dawn of morning, and cry: for thy word do I wait.
148 Moje oči so slutile nočne straže, da bi lahko premišljeval v tvoji besedi.
My eyes are awake before the night-watches, that I may meditate in thy saying.
149 Prisluhni mojemu glasu glede na svojo ljubečo skrbnost, oh Gospod; oživi me glede na svojo sodbo.
Hear my voice according to thy kindness: O Lord, according to thy decree do thou grant me life.
150 Približali so se tisti, ki sledijo vragoliji; daleč so od tvoje postave.

Of old already I knew of thy testimonies; because for eternity hast thou founded them.

RESH. Look on my affliction, and release me; for thy law have I not forgotten.
154 Zagovarjaj mojo pravdo in me osvobodi; oživi me glede na svojo besedo.
Plead my cause, and deliver me: according to thy promise do thou revive me.
155 Rešitev duš je daleč od zlobnih, kajti oni ne iščejo tvojih zakonov.
Far from the wicked is salvation; because thy statutes have they not sought for.
156 Velika so tvoja nežna usmiljenja, oh Gospod; oživi me glede na tvoje sodbe.
Thy mercies are abundant, O Lord; according to thy decrees do thou revive me.
157 Mnogo je mojih preganjalcev in mojih sovražnikov, vendar se ne nagnem od tvojih pričevanj.
Many are my persecutors and my assailants: yet from thy testimonies do I not turn away.
158 Zagledal sem prestopnike in bil užaloščen, ker se niso držali tvoje besede.
I beheld the treacherous, and felt disgust; because they observed not thy saying.
159 Preudari kako ljubim tvoje predpise; oživi me, oh Gospod, glede na svojo ljubečo skrbnost.
Behold that I love thy precepts: O Lord, according to thy kindness do thou revive me.
160 Tvoja beseda je resnična od začetka in vsaka od tvojih pravičnih sodb traja večno.
The summit of thy word is truth: and the whole of thy righteous judgment endureth for ever.
161 ŠIN Princi so me preganjali brez vzroka, toda moje srce stoji v strahospoštovanju pred tvojo besedo.

162 Veselim se ob tvoji besedi kakor nekdo, ki najde velik plen.
I am rejoiced over thy promise, as one that findeth great spoil.
163 Sovražim in preziram lažnivost, toda ljubim tvojo postavo.
Falsehood I hate and abhor: but thy law do I love.
164 Sedemkrat dnevno te hvalim zaradi tvojih pravičnih sodb.
Seven times in the day do I praise thee because of thy righteous decrees.
165 Velik mir imajo tisti, ki ljubijo tvojo postavo in nič jih ne bo prizadelo.
Abundant peace have they who love thy law; and thee is nothing that causeth them to stumble.
166 Gospod, upal sem na tvojo rešitev duše in storil tvoje zapovedi.
I have hoped for thy salvation, O Lord, and thy commandments have I fulfilled.
167 Moja duša je obdržala tvoja pričevanja in silno jih ljubim.
My soul hath observed thy testimonies, and I love them exceedingly.
168 Držal sem se tvojih predpisov in tvojih pričevanj, kajti vse moje poti so pred teboj.
I have observed thy precepts and thy testimonies; because all my ways are before thee.
169 TAV Naj moj klic pride blizu predte, oh Gospod; daj mi razumevanje glede na svojo besedo.
TAV. Let my entreaty come near before thee, O Lord: according to thy word grant me understanding.
170 Naj moja ponižna prošnja pride predte; osvobodi me glede na svojo besedo.
Let my supplication come before thee: according to thy promise do thou deliver me.
171 Moje ustnice bodo izgovarjale hvalo, ko si me učil svojih zakonov.
My lips shall utter praise; because thou wilt teach me thy statutes.
172 Moj jezik bo govoril o tvoji besedi, kajti vse tvoje zapovedi so pravičnost.
My tongue shall speak loudly of thy promise; for all thy commandments are righteous.
173 Tvoja roka naj mi pomaga, kajti izbral sem tvoje predpise.
Let thy hand be [ready] to help me; for thy precepts have I chosen.
174 Hrepenel sem za tvojo rešitvijo duše, oh Gospod in tvoja postava je moja naslada.
I have longed for thy salvation, O Lord; and thy law is my delights.
175 Naj moja duša živi in te bo hvalila in naj mi tvoje sodbe pomagajo.
Let my soul live, and it shall praise thee: and let thy decrees help me.
176 Zašel sem kakor izgubljena ovca; išči svojega služabnika, kajti jaz ne pozabljam tvojih zapovedi.
I have gone erringly astray like a lost sheep: seek thy servant; for thy commandments have I not forgotten.
