< Psalmi 114 >
1 Ko je Izrael odšel iz Egipta, hiša Jakobova od ljudi tujega jezika,
When Israel left Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people who spoke a foreign language,
2 je bil Juda njegovo svetišče in Izrael njegovo gospostvo.
Judah became his holy place, Israel his kingdom.
3 Morje je to videlo in pobegnilo; Jordan je bil gnan nazaj.
The sea looked and fled; the Jordan turned back.
4 Gore so poskakovale kakor ovni in majhni hribi kakor jagnjeta.
The mountains skipped like rams, the hills skipped like lambs.
5 Kaj ti je bilo, oh ti morje, da bežiš? Ti Jordan, da si bil gnan nazaj?
Why did you flee, sea? Jordan, why did you turn back?
6 Ve gore, da ste poskakovale kakor ovni in vi majhni hribi kakor jagnjeta?
Mountains, why did you skip like rams? You little hills, why did you skip like lambs?
7 Trepetaj, ti zemlja, ob Gospodovi prisotnosti, ob prisotnosti Jakobovega Boga,
Tremble, earth, before the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob.
8 ki je skalo spremenil v stoječo vodo, kremen v studenec vodá.
He turned the rock into a pool of water, the hard rock into a spring of water.
