Psalmi 108
1 Oh Bog, moje srce je trdno; prepeval bom in dajal hvalo, celó s svojo slavo.
A Canticle Psalm, of David himself. My heart is prepared, O God, my heart is prepared. I will sing songs, and I will sing psalms in my glory.
2 Zbudita se, plunka in harfa; jaz sam se bom zgodaj prebudil.
Rise up, my glory. Rise up, Psalter and harp. I will arise in early morning.
3 Hvalil te bom, oh Gospod, med ljudstvi in prepeval ti bom hvale med narodi.
I will confess to you, O Lord, among the peoples. And I will sing psalms to you among the nations.
4 Kajti tvoje usmiljenje je veliko nad nebom in tvoja resnica sega do oblakov.
For your mercy is great, beyond the heavens, and your truth, even to the clouds.
5 Bodi povišan, oh Bog, nad nebo in tvoja slava nad vso zemljo,
Be exalted, O God, beyond the heavens, and your glory, beyond all the earth,
6 da so tvoji ljubljeni lahko osvobojeni; reši s svojo desnico in mi odgovori.
so that your beloved may be freed. Save with your right hand, and heed me.
7 Bog je spregovoril v svoji svetosti: »Veselil se bom in razdelil bom Sihem in odmeril Sukótsko dolino.
God has spoken in his holiness. I will exult, and I will divide Shechem, and I will divide by measure the steep valley of tabernacles.
8 Gileád je moj, Manáse je moj, tudi Efrájim je moč moje glave, Juda je moj postavodajalec.
Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine, and Ephraim is the supporter of my head. Judah is my king.
9 Moáb je moj lonec za pranje, nad Edóm bom vrgel svoj čevelj, nad Filistejo bom slavil zmago.«
Moab is the cooking pot of my hope. I will extend my shoe in Idumea; the foreigners have become my friends.
10 Kdo me bo privedel v utrjeno mesto? Kdo me bo vodil v Edóm?
Who will lead me into the fortified city? Who will lead me, even into Idumea?
11 Mar ne boš ti, oh Bog, ki si nas zavrgel? Ali ne boš ti, oh Bog, šel naprej z našimi vojskami?
Will not you, O God, who had rejected us? And will not you, O God, go out with our armies?
12 Daj nam pomoč iz stiske, kajti zaman je človeška pomoč.
Grant us help from tribulation, for vain is the help of man.
13 Z Bogom bomo delali hrabro, kajti on je ta, ki bo pomendral naše sovražnike.
In God, we will act virtuously, and he will bring our enemies to nothing.
