Psalmi 105
1 Oh zahvaljujte se Gospodu, kličite njegovo ime; med ljudstvom razglašajte njegova dela.
Give ye thanks to Yahweh, Call upon his Name, Make known, among the peoples, his doings;
2 Prepevajte mu, prepevajte mu psalme, govorite o vseh njegovih čudovitih delih.
Sing ye to him, Make ye music to him, Speak ye of all his wonders.
3 Ponašajte se z njegovim svetim imenom; naj se razveseljuje srce tistih, ki iščejo Gospoda.
Make your boast in his holy Name, Joyful be the heart of them who are seeking Yahweh.
4 Iščite Gospoda in njegovo moč; vselej iščite njegov obraz.
Search out Yahweh and his strength, Seek diligently his face at all times.
5 Spominjajte se njegovih čudovitih del, ki jih je storil, njegovih čudežev in sodb njegovih ust,
Remember his wonders which he hath done, His portents, and the just decisions of his mouth.
6 oh, vi seme Abrahama, njegovega služabnika, vi otroci Jakoba, njegovega izbranca.
O ye Seed of Abraham—his servants, Sons of Jacob—his chosen ones:
7 On je Gospod, naš Bog; njegove sodbe so po vsej zemlji.
Yahweh himself, is our God, Through all the land, are his just decision.
8 Na veke se spominja svoje zaveze, besede, ki jo je zapovedal tisočêrim rodovom.
He hath remembered, unto times age-abiding, his covenant, The word he commanded, to a thousand generations;
9 Katero zavezo je sklenil z Abrahamom in svojo prisego Izaku
Which he solemnised with Abraham, and his oath, to Isaac;
10 in isto potrdil Jakobu za zakon in Izraelu za večno zavezo,
And confirmed it unto Jacob for a statute, To Israel, as a covenant age-abiding;
11 rekoč: »Tebi bom dal kánaansko deželo, žreb vaše dediščine, «
Saying, To thee, will I give the land of Canaan, As your inherited portion;
12 ko jih je bilo po številu le malo ljudi, da, zelo malo in tujci v njej.
While as yet they were men easily counted, —A very few, and sojourners therein;
13 Ko so hodili od enega naroda k drugemu, od enega kraljestva k drugemu ljudstvu
And they wandered from nation to nation, From a kingdom, to another people.
14 nobenemu človeku ni pustil, da jim stori krivico; da, zaradi njih je grajal kralje,
He suffered no son of earth to oppress them, And reproved—for their sakes—[even] kings!
15 rekoč: »Ne dotikajte se mojih maziljencev in mojim prerokom ne delajte hudega.«
Ye may not touch mine Anointed ones, And, to my Prophets, may ye do no wrong.
16 Poleg tega je nad deželo poklical lakoto; zlomil je celotno oporo kruha.
Then called he a famine over the land, All the staff of bread, he brake;
17 Pred njimi je poslal človeka, celó Jožefa, ki je bil prodan za služabnika,
He sent before them a man, For a slave, was he sold—[even] Joseph;
18 katerega stopala so poškodovali z okovi, položen je bil v železo
They forced, into a fetter, his foot, Into the iron, entered his soul;
19 do časa, ko je prišla njegova beseda; Gospodova beseda ga je prečistila.
Until the time when his word came to pass, Speech of Yahweh, proved him;
20 Kralj je poslal in ga izpustil, celó vladar ljudstva in ga osvobodil.
The king sent, and set him free, One having dominion over peoples, yet loosed he his bonds;
21 Postavil ga je [za] gospodarja svoje hiše in vladarja vsega svojega imetja,
He appointed him lord to his household, And one having dominion over all he possessed;
22 da po svoji mili volji zveže njegove prince in njegove senatorje uči modrosti.
That he might bind his rulers as he pleased, And, his elders, he might embue with wisdom.
23 Tudi Izrael je prišel v Egipt in Jakob je začasno prebival v Hamovi deželi.
So Israel came into Egypt, And, Jacob, sojourned in the land of Ham;
24 Silno je pomnožil svoje ljudstvo in jih naredil močnejše kakor njihove sovražnike.
And he made his people exceeding fruitful, —And caused them to become stronger than their adversaries.
25 Njihovo srce je obrnil, da sovraži njegovo ljudstvo, da premeteno postopa z njegovimi služabniki.
He let them turn their heart—To hate his people, To deal treacherously with his servants;
26 Poslal je svojega služabnika Mojzesa in Arona, ki ga je izbral.
He sent Moses his servant, Aaron, whom he had chosen.
27 Prikazovala sta njegova znamenja med njimi in čudeže v Hamovi deželi.
He set among them his threatening signs, And his wonders, in the land of Ham;
28 Poslal je temo in jo naredil temačno in nista se uprla zoper njegovo besedo.
He sent darkness, and made it dark, But they rebelled against his words;
29 Njihove vode je spremenil v kri in njihove ribe usmrtil.
He turned their waters into blood, And so caused their fish to die;
30 Njihova dežela je po sobah njihovih kraljev porodila žab v obilju.
Their land swarmed with frogs, In the chambers of their kings!
31 Rekel je in prišle so različne vrste muh in uši po vseh njihovih krajih.
He spake, and there came in the gad-fly, Gnats, in all their bounds;
32 Dal jim je točo za dež in ognjen ogenj po njihovi deželi.
He made their showers—hail, A fire flaming throughout their land;
33 Udaril je tudi njihove trte in njihova figova drevesa in zlomil drevesa njihovih krajev.
And he smote their vines, and their fig-trees, And brake in pieces the trees of their bounds;
34 Spregovoril je in prišle so leteče kobilice in gosenice in to brez števila,
He spake—then came the swarming locust, —The devouring locust, and that without number;
35 pojedle so vsa njihova zelišča po celotni deželi in požrle sad njihovih tal.
And devoured all the herbage in their land, And devoured the fruit of their ground.
36 Udaril je tudi vse prvorojence v njihovi deželi, vodilne izmed vse njihove moči.
Then smote he every firstborn in their land, The beginning of all their strength;
37 Izpeljal jih je tudi s srebrom in zlatom, in med njihovimi rodovi ni bilo niti ene slabotne osebe.
Thus brought he them forth, with silver and gold, Nor was there, throughout his tribes, one that faltered;
38 Egipt je bil vesel, ko so odšli, kajti strah pred njimi je padel nanje.
Egypt rejoiced when they went out, For the dread of them had fallen upon them.
39 Razprostrl je oblak za pokrivalo in ogenj, da daje svetlobo v noči.
He spread out a cloud as a covering, And fire, to give light by night,
40 Ljudje so prosili in privedel je prepelice ter jih nasičeval z nebeškim kruhom.
They asked, and he brought in the quail, —And, with the bread of the heavens, he satisfied them;
41 Odprl je skalo in pridrle so vode, po suhih krajih so tekle kakor reka.
He opened the rock, and there gushed forth waters, They flowed along, through parched places, as a river;
42 Kajti spomnil se je svoje svete obljube in Abrahama, svojega služabnika.
For he remembered his holy word, With Abraham his servant.
43 Svoje ljudstvo je izpeljal z radostjo in svoje izvoljene z veseljem
Thus brought he forth his people with gladness, —With shouts of triumph, his chosen ones;
44 in jim dal dežele poganov in podedovali so trud ljudstev,
And gave them, the lands of the nations, And, of the toil of the peoples, took they possession:
45 da bi se lahko držali njegovih zakonov in obeleževali njegove postave. Hvalite Gospoda.
In order that they might observe his statutes, And, over his laws, might keep watch, Praise ye Yah.
