Filipljanom 2
1 Če obstaja torej kakršnakoli tolažba v Kristusu, če kakršnakoli tolažba ljubezni, če kakršnakoli družba Duha, če kakršnakoli čustva in usmiljenja,
If, then, any exhortation [is] in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of [the] Spirit, if any yearnings and mercies,
2 izpolnite moje veselje, da ste istih misli in imate isto ljubezen, da ste soglasni, enega mišljenja.
fulfill my joy, that you may mind the same thing—having the same love—of one soul—minding the one thing,
3 Naj se nič ne stori zaradi prepira ali ošabnosti, temveč naj vsak v skromnosti mišljenja bolj upošteva drugega kakor sebe.
nothing in rivalry or vainglory, but in humility of mind counting one another more excellent than yourselves—
4 Ne glejte vsakdo na svoje stvari, temveč vsakdo tudi na stvari drugih.
do not each look to your own, but each also to the things of others.
5 V vas naj bo to mišljenje, ki je bilo tudi v Kristusu Jezusu,
For let this mind be in you that [is] also in Christ Jesus,
6 ki je, četudi v Božji podobi, mislil, da ni rop, da bi bil enak z Bogom;
who, being in the form of God, thought [it] not something to be seized to be equal to God,
7 temveč je samega sebe naredil brez slôvesa in si privzel obliko služabnika in bil narejen po človeški podobnosti;
but emptied Himself, having taken the form of a servant, having been made in the likeness of men,
8 in po videzu zaznan kakor moški, je samega sebe ponižal in postal pokoren do smrti, celó smrti na križu.
and having been found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself, having become obedient to death—even death of a cross,
9 Zatorej ga je Bog tudi visoko povišal in mu dal ime, ki je nad vsakim imenom,
for this reason, also, God highly exalted Him, and gave to Him a Name that [is] above every name,
10 da naj bi ob imenu Jezus pokleknilo vsako koleno, od stvari na nebu in stvari na zemlji ter stvari pod zemljo;
that in the Name of Jesus every knee may bow—of heavenlies, and earthlies, and what are under the earth—
11 ter da bi vsak jezik priznal, da je Jezus Kristus Gospod, v slavo Boga Očeta.
and every tongue may confess that Jesus Christ [is] LORD, to the glory of God the Father.
12 Zatorej, moji ljubljeni, kakor ste vedno ubogali, ne kakor samo v moji prisotnosti, temveč veliko bolj zdaj, v moji odsotnosti, s strahom in trepetom uresničite svojo lastno rešitev duše.
So that, my beloved, as you always obey, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling,
13 Kajti Bog je, ki deluje v vas oboje, da hočete in da delate iz njegovega dobrega zadovoljstva.
for it is God who is working in you both to will and to work for His good pleasure.
14 Vse stvari delajte brez mrmranj in razpravljanj,
Do all things without murmurings and deliberations,
15 da boste lahko brez krivde in neškodljivi Božji sinovi, brez oštevanja v sredi sprijenega in sprevrženega naroda, med katerim sijete kakor luči na svetu;
that you may become blameless and pure children of God, unblemished in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as luminaries in the world,
16 držeč se besede življenja, da se bom na Kristusov dan lahko veselil, da nisem zaman tekel niti [se nisem] zaman trudil.
holding forth the word of life, for rejoicing to me in regard to [the] Day of Christ, that I did not run in vain, nor did I labor in vain;
17 Da, in če bi bil darovan na žrtev in službo vaše vere, se radostim in se z vami vsemi veselim.
but if I also am poured forth on the sacrifice and service of your faith, I rejoice and am glad with you all,
18 Zaradi istega razloga se tudi vi veselite in razveseljujte z menoj.
because of this you also rejoice and are glad with me.
19 Toda zaupam v Gospoda Jezusa, da v kratkem pošljem k vam Timóteja, da bom tudi jaz, ko izvem vaše stanje, lahko dobro potolažen.
And I hope, in the Lord Jesus, to send Timotheus to you quickly, that I also may be of good spirit, having known the things concerning you,
20 Kajti nimam nobenega človeka istih misli, ki bo naravno skrbel za vaše stanje.
for I have no one like-minded, who will sincerely care for the things concerning you,
21 Kajti vsi iščejo svoje lastno, ne [pa] stvari, ki so Jezusa Kristusa.
for the whole seek their own things, not the things of Christ Jesus,
22 Vendar poznate dokaz o njem, da je z menoj služil v evangeliju kakor sin z očetom.
and you know his proof, that as a child [serves] a father, he served with me in regard to the good news;
23 Njega se torej nadejam poslati tako kmalu, kot bom videl, kako bo z menoj.
I indeed hope to send him, when I may see through the things concerning me—immediately;
24 Toda zaupam v Gospoda, da bom kmalu prišel tudi sam.
and I trust in the LORD that I will also come quickly myself.
25 Vendar se mi je zdelo potrebno poslati k vam Epafrodita, mojega brata in družabnika v trudu in soborca, toda vašega odposlanca in tega, ki je služil mojim potrebam.
And I thought [it] necessary to send to you Epaphroditus—my brother and fellow-workman and fellow-soldier, and your apostle and servant to my need,
26 Kajti hrepenel je po vas vseh in bil poln potrtosti; zato ker ste slišali, da je bil bolan.
seeing he was longing after you all, and in heaviness, because you heard that he ailed,
27 Kajti zares je bil bolan, blizu smrti, toda Bog se ga je usmilil; in ne samo njega, ampak tudi mene, da ne bi imel bridkost na bridkost.
for he also ailed near to death, but God dealt kindly with him, and not with him only, but also with me, that I might not have sorrow on sorrow.
28 Poslal sem ga torej bolj hitro, da ko ga boste ponovno videli, se boste lahko razveselili in da bom jaz lahko manj žalosten.
The more eagerly, therefore, I sent him, that having seen him again you may rejoice, and I may be less sorrowful;
29 Sprejmite ga torej v Gospodu z vsem veseljem; in take imejte v časti;
receive him, therefore, in the LORD, with all joy, and hold such in honor,
30 ker je bil zaradi Kristusovega dela blizu smrti, ne oziraje se na svoje življenje, da dopolni pomanjkanje vašega služenja do mene.
because on account of the work of the Christ he drew near to death, having hazarded life that he might fill up your deficiency of service to me.
