1 Gospod je spregovoril Mojzesu, rekoč:

And Yahweh spake unto Moses, saying:

2 »Zapovej Izraelovim otrokom in jim reci: ›Ko pridete v kánaansko deželo (to je deželo, ki vam bo pripadla v dediščino, torej kánaansko deželo z njenimi pokrajinami),

Command the sons of Israel, and thou shalt say unto them, When, ye, are coming into the land of Canaan, this is the land which shall fall unto you, as an inheritance, even the land of Canaan, by the boundaries thereof.

3 potem bo tvoja južna četrt od Cinske divjine, vzdolž edómske pokrajine in vaša južna meja bo skrajna obala slanega morja proti vzhodu

Ye shall therefore have a south corner, from the desert of Zin, on the side of Edom, —so shall ye have a south boundary, from the end of the salt sea, eastward:

4 in vaša meja se bo od juga obrnila k vzpetini Akrabím in šla do Cina in šla bo naprej od juga do Kadeš Barnée in šla naprej do Hacár Adárja in šla naprej k Acmónu

and the boundary shall go round for you from the south towards the cliffs of Akrabbim, then cross over towards Zin, and the extension thereof shall be from the south to Kadesh-barnea, then shall it reach out to Hazar-addar, and cross over towards Azmon;

5 in meja bo šla po ovinkih od Acmóna do egiptovske reke in izhodi te bodo pri morju.

then shall the boundary turn round from Azmon towards the ravine of Egypt, —and the extension thereof shall be towards the sea.

6 Glede zahodne meje, za mejo boste torej imeli véliko morje. To bo vaša zahodna meja.

And, for a west boundary, —ye shall have the great sea, even a boundary, this, shall serve you as west boundary.

7 In to bo vaša severna meja: od vélikega morja si jo pokažite na goro Hor,

And, this, shall serve you as a north boundary, —From the great sea, ye shall draw a line for you to Mount Hor:

8 od gore Hor boste vašo mejo pokazali do vstopa v Hamát in izhodi meje bodo pri Cedádu

From Mount Hor, ye shall draw a line to the entering in of Hamath, —and the extension of the boundary shall be towards Zedad:

9 in meja bo šla naprej k Zifrónu in njeni izhodi bodi pri Hacár Enánu. To bo vaša severna meja.

then shall the boundary reach out towards Ziphron, and the extension thereof, be to Hazar-enan. This, shall serve you as a north, boundary.

10 Vašo vzhodno mejo boste pokazali od Hacár Enána do Šefáma

Then shall ye draw for yourselves a line, for an east boundary, —from Hazar-enan towards Shepham;

11 in pokrajina bo šla dol od Šefáma k Ribli na vzhodni strani Ajina in meja se bo spustila in segla bo do strani Kinéretskega morja proti vzhodu

and the boundary shall go down from Shepham towards Riblah, on the east of Ain—then shall the boundary go down and strike on the side of the Sea of Chinnereth, eastward:

12 in meja bo šla dol do Jordana in njeni izhodi bodo pri slanem morju. To bo vaša dežela z njenimi pokrajinami naokoli.‹«

then shall the boundary go down towards the Jordan, and the extension thereof be to the salt sea. This shall be your land by the boundaries thereof round about.

13 Mojzes je Izraelovim otrokom zapovedal, rekoč: »To je dežela, ki jo boste podedovali z žrebom, ki jo je Gospod zapovedal dati devetim rodovom in polovici rodu,

And Moses commanded the sons of Israel saying, —This, is the land, which ye shall inherit by lot, which Yahweh had commanded to be given to the nine tribes and the half tribe.

14 kajti rod Rubenovih otrok, glede na hišo njihovih očetov in rod Gadovih otrok, glede na hišo njihovih očetov, sta prejela svojo dediščino in polovica Manásejevega rodu je prejela svojo dediščino.

For the tribe of the sons of the Reubenites by their ancestral house, and the tribe of the sons of Gad, by their ancestral house, have received, and, the half tribe of Manasseh have received, their inheritance:

15 Dva rodova in pol rodu so že prejeli svojo dediščino na tej strani Jordana, blizu Jerihe, vzhodno proti sončnemu vzhodu.«

the two tribes, and the half tribe, have received their inheritance—on this side Jordan near Jericho, eastwards, towards sunrise.

16 Gospod je spregovoril Mojzesu, rekoč:

Then spake Yahweh unto Moses, saying:

17 »To sta imeni mož, ki vam bosta razdelila deželo: duhovnik Eleazar in Nunov sin Józue.

These, are the names of the men who shall receive for you the land, as an inheritance, Eleazar, the priest, and Joshua, son of Nun.

18 Vzeli boste enega princa od vsakega rodu, da deželo razdelite po dediščini.

Also, one prince from each tribe, shall ye take to receive the land, as an inheritance.

19 Imena mož so ta: iz Judovega rodu Kaléb, Jefunéjev sin.

These, therefore, are the names of the men, —For the tribe of Judah, Caleb son of Jephunneh;

20 Iz rodu Simeonovih otrok Amihúdov sin Šemuél.

And, for the tribe of the sons of Simeon, Shemuel son of Ammihud:

21 Iz Benjaminovega rodu Kislónov sin Elidád.

For the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad son of Chislon;

22 Princ rodu Danovih otrok, Joglíjev sin Bukí.

And, for the tribe of the sons of Dan, a prince—Bukki, son of Jogli:

23 Princ izmed Jožefovih otrok za rod Manásejevih otrok, Efódov sin Haniél.

For the sons of Joseph, For the tribe of the sons of Manasseh, a prince, —Hanniel son of Ephod;

24 Princ iz rodu Efrájimovih otrok, Šiftánov sin Kemuél.

And, for the tribe of the sons of Ephraim, a prince, —Kemuel, son of Shiphtan;

25 Princ iz rodu Zábulonovih otrok, Parnáhov sin Elicafán.

And, for the tribe of the sons of Zebulun, a prince, —Elizaphan, son of Parnach;

26 Princ iz rodu Isahárjevih otrok, Azánov sin Paltiél.

And, for the tribe of the sons of Issachar, a prince, —Paltiel son of Azzan;

27 Princ iz rodu Aserjevih otrok, Šelomíjev sin Ahihúd.

And, for the tribe of the sons of Asher, a prince, —Ahihud son of Shelomi:

28 Princ iz rodu Neftálijevih otrok Amihúdov sin Pedahél.

And, for the tribe of the sons of Naphtali, a prince, —Pedahel, son of Ammihud.

29 To so tisti, ki jim je Gospod zapovedal, da Izraelovim otrokom razdelijo dediščino v kánaanski deželi.«

These, are they whom Yahweh hath commanded to receive for the sons of Israel their inheritance, in the land of Canaan.
