1 »Ne sodite, da ne boste sojeni.
Iudge not that ye be not iudged.
2 Kajti s kakršno sodbo vi sodite, boste sojeni in s kakršno mero merite, vam bo ponovno odmerjeno.
For as ye iudge so shall ye be iudged. And wt what mesure ye mete wt the same shall it be mesured to you agayne.
3 In zakaj gledaš drobec, ki je v očesu tvojega brata, toda ne preudarjaš o brunu, ki je v tvojem lastnem očesu?
Why seist thou a moote in thy brothers eye and perceavest not the beame yt ys yn thyne awne eye.
4 Ali kako lahko rečeš svojemu bratu: ›Dovoli mi iz tvojega očesa izvleči drobec, ‹ in glej, bruno je v tvojem lastnem očesu?
Or why sayest thou to thy brother: suffre me to plucke oute the moote oute of thyne eye and behold a beame is in thyne awne eye.
5 Ti hinavec, najprej vrzi bruno iz svojega lastnega očesa in tedaj boš razločno videl vreči ven drobec iz očesa svojega brata.

6 Ne dajajte tega, kar je sveto, psom niti ne mečite svojih biserov pred svinje, da jih ne bi pomendrale pod svojimi stopali in se obrnile proti vam in vas raztrgale.
Geve not that which is holy to dogges nether cast ye youre pearles before swyne lest they treade them vnder their fete and ye other tourne agayne and all to rent you.
7 Prosite in to vam bo dano; iščite in boste našli; trkajte in se vam bo odprlo,
Axe and it shalbe geven you. Seke and ye shall fynd. knocke and it shalbe opened vnto you.
8 kajti vsak, kdor prosi, prejema; in kdor išče, najde; in tistemu, ki trka, se bo odprlo.
For whosoever axeth receaveth and he yt seketh fyndeth and to hym that knocketh it shalbe opened.
9 Ali kakšen človek je tam izmed vas, če ga njegov sin prosi kruha, ali mu bo dal kamen?
Ys there eny man amoge you which if his sonne axed hym bread wolde offer him astone?
10 Ali če prosi ribe ali mu bo dal kačo?
Or if he axed fysshe wolde he proffer hym a serpet?
11 Če potem vi, ki ste hudobni, veste kako dajati dobra darila svojim otrokom, kako mnogo bolj bo vaš Oče, ki je v nebesih, dajal dobre stvari tistim, ki ga prosijo?
Yf ye then which are evyll cane geve to youre chyldren good gyftes: how moche moore shall youre father which is in heve geve good thynges to them yt axe hym?
12 Zatorej vse stvari, katerekoli si želite, da bi ljudje storili vam, storite vi njim popolnoma tako, kajti to je postava in preroki.
Therfore whatsoever ye wolde that men shulde do to you even so do ye to them. This ys the lawe and the Prophettes.
13 Vstopite pri ozkih vratih, kajti široka so vrata in prostrana je pot, ki vodi k uničenju in mnogo jih bo tam, ki gredo tja,
Enter in at the strayte gate: for wyde is ye gate and broade is the waye that leadeth to destruccion: and many ther be which goo yn therat.
14 zato ker ozka so vrata in tesna je pot, ki vodi v življenje in tam jih bo malo, ki jo najdejo.
But strayte is the gate and narowe ys the waye which leadeth vnto lyfe: and feawe there be that fynde it.
15 Varujte se lažnih prerokov, ki prihajajo k vam v ovčjih oblačilih, toda navznoter so požrešni volkovi.
Beware of false Prophetes which come to you in shepes clothinge but inwardly they are ravenynge wolves.
16 Spoznali jih boste po njihovih sadovih. Mar ljudje obirajo grozdje iz trnja ali fige iz osata?
Ye shall knowe them by their frutes. Do men gaddre grapes of thornes? or figges of bryres?
17 Točno takó vsako dobro drevo prinaša dober sad, toda slabo drevo prinaša hudoben sad.
Euen soo every good tree bryngeth forthe good frute. But a corrupte tree bryngethe forthe evyll frute.
18 Dobro drevo ne more obroditi hudobnega sadu niti slabo drevo ne more obroditi dobrega sadu.
A good tree canot brynge forthe bad frute: nor yet a bad tree can bringe forthe good frute.
19 Vsako drevo, ki ne prinaša dobrega sadu, je posekano in vrženo v ogenj.
Every tree that bryngethe not forthe good frute shalbe hewe doune and cast into the fyre.
20 Zatorej jih boste spoznali po njihovih sadovih.
Wherfore by their frutes ye shall knowe the.
21 Ne bo vsak, kdor mi pravi: ›Gospod, Gospod, ‹ vstopil v nebeško kraljestvo, temveč kdor izvršuje voljo mojega Očeta, ki je v nebesih.
Not all they that saye vnto me Master Master shall enter in to the kyngdome of heven: but he that dothe my fathers will which ys in heven.
22 Mnogi mi bodo na tisti dan rekli: ›Gospod, Gospod, ali nismo v tvojem imenu prerokovali in v tvojem imenu izganjali hudičev in v tvojem imenu storili mnogo čudovitih del?‹
Many will saye to me in that daye Master master have we not in thy name prophesied? And in thy name have caste oute devyls? And in thy name have done many miracles?
23 In tedaj jim bom zatrdil: ›Nikoli vas nisem poznal. Odidite od mene, vi, ki počnete krivičnost.‹
And then will I knowlege vnto them that I never knewe them. Departe from me ye workers of iniquite.
24 Zatorej kdorkoli sliši te moje besede in jih izvršuje, ga bom primerjal z modrim človekom, ki je svojo hišo zgradil na skali;
Whosoever heareth of me these sayinges and doethe the same I wyll lyken hym vnto a wyse man which bylt hys housse on a rocke:
25 in padal je dež in prišle so poplave in pihali so vetrovi in udarili na to hišo; in ni padla, kajti bila je utemeljena na skali.
and aboundance of rayne descended and the fluddes came and the wyndes blewe and bet vpon that same housse and it fell not because it was grounded on the rocke.
26 In vsak, kdor posluša te moje besede in jih ne izvršuje, bo primerjan z nespametnim človekom, ki je svojo hišo zgradil na pesku;
And whosoever heareth of me these sayinges and doth the not shalbe lykened vnto a folysh man which bilt hys housse apo the sondes:
27 in padal je dež in prišle so poplave in pihali so vetrovi ter udarili na to hišo; in je padla in njen padec je bil velik.«
and abundauce of rayne descended and the fluddes came and ye wyndes blewe and beet vpon that housse and it fell and great was the fall of it.
28 In pripetilo se je, ko je Jezus končal te govore, da je bila množica nad njegovim naukom osupla,
And it came to passe that when Iesus had ended these saynges the people were astonnyed at hys doctryne.
29 kajti poučeval jih je kakor nekdo, ki ima oblast in ne tako kakor pisarji.
For he taught them as one havynge power and not as the Scribes.
