Marko 13
1 In ko je odšel iz templja, mu eden izmed njegovih učencev reče: »Učitelj, glej kakšne vrste kamnov in kakšne zgradbe so tukaj!«
Then as He was going out from the temple, one of His disciples said to Him: “Teacher, just look! Such stones, such buildings!”
2 In Jezus mu odgovori ter reče: »Te velike stavbe gledaš? Tam ne bo ostal en kamen na drugem, ki ne bi bil zrušen.«
In answer Jesus said to him: “Do you see these great buildings? Here not a single stone will be left upon another; each one will be thrown down.”
3 In ko je sedèl na Oljski gori, nasproti templju, so ga Peter in Jakob in Janez ter Andrej na samem vprašali:
Then as He was sitting on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James, John and Andrew asked Him privately:
4 »Povej nam, kdaj bodo te stvari? In kakšno bo znamenje, ko se bodo vse te besede dopolnile?«
“Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign whenever all these things are about to be fulfilled?”
5 In Jezus jim je odgovoril ter začel govoriti: »Pazite, da vas katerikoli človek ne prevara,
So by way of an answer to them Jesus began by saying: “Take care that no one deceives you.
6 kajti mnogi bodo prišli v mojem imenu, rekoč: ›Jaz sem Kristus ‹ in bodo mnoge prevarali.
Because many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am he,’ and will deceive many.
7 Ko pa boste slišali o vojnah in govorice o vojnah, ne bodite zaskrbljeni, kajti takšne stvari brezpogojno bodo, toda ne bo še konec.
But whenever you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not let it distress you; because happen they must, but the end is not yet.
8 Kajti narod se bo dvignil proti narodu in kraljestvo proti kraljestvu in potresi bodo na raznih krajih in lakote bodo ter nevšečnosti; te so začetek bridkosti.
Because nation will be raised against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there will be earthquakes in various places, and there will be famines and tumults. These things are the beginning of birth pains.
9 Toda pazite se, kajti izročali vas bodo sodiščem in v sinagogah boste pretepeni in zaradi mene boste privedeni pred vladarje in kralje, v pričevanje proti njim.
“But watch out for yourselves, because they will deliver you up to councils and flog you in synagogues, and you will be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, as a testimony to them.
10 Najprej pa se mora evangelij razglasiti med vsemi narodi.
Also, the Gospel must first be proclaimed to all the ethnic nations.
11 Toda ko vas bodo vodili in izročali, ne premišljujte vnaprej kaj boste govorili niti ne delajte naklepov, temveč karkoli vam bo v tej uri dano, to govorite, kajti to niste vi, ki govorite, temveč Sveti Duh.
Now whenever they lead you away and deliver you up, do not worry beforehand nor premeditate what you will say; rather, whatever is given to you in that hour, speak that, because it will not be you doing the speaking, but the Holy Spirit.
12 Brat bo torej brata izdajal v smrt in oče sina; in otroci bodo vstajali zoper svoje starše ter jim povzročali, da bodo usmrčeni.
“Further, brother will betray brother to death and a father his child, and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death.
13 In zaradi mojega imena boste osovraženi od vseh ljudi, toda kdor bo vztrajal do konca, ta isti bo rešen.
And you will be hated by all for my name's sake, yet he who endures to the end, he will be saved.
14 Toda ko boste videli ogabnost opustošenja, o kateri govori prerok Daniel, stati, kjer ne bi smela, (naj tisti, ki bere, razume) takrat naj tisti, ki so v Judeji, bežijo v gore;
“Now whenever you see the ‘abomination of desolation’, the one spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where he should not”—let the reader understand—“then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.

Let him who is on the housetop not go down into the house, nor enter to take anything out of his house.

Let him who is in the field not return to his things to get his cloak.
17 Toda gorje tem, ki so z otrokom in tem, ki v tistih dneh dojijo!
But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days!
18 In molíte, da vaš pobeg ne bo pozimi.
And pray that your flight not take place in winter,
19 Kajti v teh dneh bo stiska, kakršne ni bilo od začetka stvarstva, ki ga je Bog ustvaril, do tega časa niti je ne bo.
because those will be days of affliction such as there has not been the like from the beginning of the creation that God created until now, and never again shall be.
20 In razen če Gospod ne bi skrajšal teh dni, ne bi bilo rešeno nobeno meso, toda zaradi izvoljenih, ki jih je izbral, je dneve skrajšal.
If the Lord did not cut those days short, no one would be saved; but for the sake of the elect, whom He chose, He did shorten the days.
21 In če vam katerikoli človek tedaj reče: ›Glej! Tukaj je Kristus' ali: ›Glej, tam je, ‹ mu ne verjemite.
“Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ ‘Look, there!’ do not believe it;
22 Kajti vstali bodo lažni Kristusi in lažni preroki in prikazovali bodo znamenja in čudeže, da zapeljejo, če bi bilo mogoče, celó izvoljene.
because false christs and false prophets will be raised up, and they will show signs and wonders so as to even mislead the elect, if that were possible.
23 Toda pazite se, glejte, napovedal sem vam vse stvari.
So you watch out! See, I have told you everything in advance.
24 Toda v tistih dneh, po tisti stiski, bo sonce otemnelo in luna ne bo dajala svoje svetlobe
“But in those days, after that tribulation, ‘the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light;
25 in zvezde neba bodo padale in moči, ki so na nebu, se bodo tresle.
the stars of heaven will be falling, and the powers that are in the heavens will be shaken.’
26 In tedaj bodo videli Sina človekovega prihajati na oblakih z veliko močjo in slavo.
And then they will see the Son of the Man coming in clouds with great power and glory.

Even so you also, whenever you see these things happening, know that it is near—at the doors!

Assuredly I tell you that this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things happen.
31 Nebo in zemlja bosta minila, toda moje besede ne bodo minile.
The heaven and the earth will pass away, but my words will certainly not pass away.
32 Toda za tisti dan in tisto uro ne ve nihče, niti angeli ne vedo, ki so na nebu, niti ne Sin, temveč Oče.
“Now concerning that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels who are in heaven, not the Son, but only the Father.
33 Pazite se, bedite in molíte, kajti ne veste, kdaj je čas.
Watch! Keep alert! Pray! Because you do not know when that time will be.
34 Kajti Sin človekov je kakor človek, ki je šel na dolgo pot, ki je zapustil svojo hišo in svojim služabnikom dal oblast in vsakemu človeku svoje delo, vratarju pa je naročil, naj bedi.
It is like a man off on a journey, having left his house and given the authority to his slaves, and to each his work; and he commanded the doorkeeper to keep watch.
35 Čujte torej, kajti ne veste, kdaj prihaja hišni gospodar, zvečer ali opolnoči ali ob petelinjem petju ali zjutraj,
Therefore be watchful, because you do not know when the master of the house is coming—at evening or at midnight or at cockcrow or early morning—
36 da vas ob nenadnem prihodu ne najde spečih.
lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.
37 In kar pravim vam, pravim vsem: ›Čujte.‹«
The things I say to you, I say to all: Watch!”
