Job 25

1 Potem je odgovoril Bildád Suhéjec in rekel:

Then Baldad the Sauchite answered and said,

2 »Gospostvo in strah sta z njim, on dela mir na svojih visokih krajih.

What beginning or fear is his—even he that makes all things in the highest?

3 Mar obstaja kakršnokoli število njegovih vojsk? Nad kom ne vstaja njegova svetloba?

For let none think that there is a respite for robbers: and upon whom will there not come a snare from him?

4 Kako je potem človek lahko opravičen pred Bogom? Ali kako je lahko čist tisti, ki je rojen iz ženske?

For how shall a mortal be just before the Lord? or who that is born of a woman shall purify himself?

5 Poglej celo k luni in ta ne sije. Da, zvezde niso čiste v njegovem pogledu.

If he gives an order to the moon, then it shines not; and the stars are not pure before him.

6 Kako veliko manj človek, ki je ličinka? In sin človekov, ki je črv?«

But alas! man is corruption, and the son of man a worm.
