Jeremija 48
1 Zoper Moáb tako govori Gospod nad bojevniki, Izraelov Bog: »Gorje Nebóju! Kajti ta je oplenjen. Kirjatájim je zbegan in zavzet. Misgab je zbegan in zaprepaden.
Against Moab. Thus hath said the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, Woe unto Nebo! for it is wasted; made ashamed, captured is Kiryathayim; made ashamed is Misgab and dismayed.
2 Moábove hvale ne bo več. V Hešbónu so snovali zlo zoper njega; pridimo in iztrebimo ga pred tem, da bi bil narod. Tudi ti boš iztrebljen, o Madmén; meč te bo preganjal.
There is no more praise of Moab: in Cheshbon have they devised evil against it, “Come, and let us cut it off from being a nation.” Also thou Madmen shalt be ruined; after thee shall pursue the sword.
3 Glas vpitja bo iz Horonájima, plenjenje in veliko uničenje.
There is a voice of crying from Choronayim, destruction and a great breach.
4 Moáb je uničen; njegovi malčki so storili, da se je slišal jok.
Broken down is Moab: her little ones send forth a cry of distress.
5 Kajti ob vzpenjanju Luhíta se bo vzdigovalo nenehno jokanje, kajti ob spuščanju Horonájima so sovražniki slišali krik pogube.
For the ascent of Luchith is ascended with weeping and tears; for on the descent of Choronayim the enemies have heard the cry of destruction.
6 Pobegnite, rešite svoja življenja in bodite podobni brinu v divjini.
Flee, save your life, and be ye like the solitary tree in the wilderness.
7 Kajti ker si zaupal v svoja dela in svoje zaklade, boš tudi ti zajet. Kemoš bo šel naprej v ujetništvo skupaj s svojimi duhovniki in svojimi princi.
For, because thou hast trusted in thy works and in thy treasures, thou also shalt be conquered: and Kemosh shall go forth into exile, [with] his priests and his princes together.
8 Plenilec bo prišel nad vsako mesto in nobeno mesto ne bo uteklo. Tudi dolina bo propadla in ravnina bo uničena, kakor je govoril Gospod.
And the water shall come over every city, and no city shall escape: and lost shall be the valley, and destroyed shall be the plain, as the Lord hath said.
9 Daj peruti Moábu, da bo lahko pobegnil in ušel, kajti njegova mesta bodo zapuščena, brez kogarkoli, da bi v njih prebival.
Give wings unto Moab, that she may flee and get away; since her cities shall become desolate, without any to dwell therein.
10 Preklet bodi, kdor dela Gospodovo delo varljivo in preklet bodi, kdor svoj meč zadržuje od krvi.
Cursed be he that doth the work of the Lord negligently, and cursed be he that withholdeth his sword from blood.
11 Moáb je bil sproščen od svoje mladosti in se ustalil na svojih drožeh in ni bil izpraznjen iz posode v posodo niti ni šel v ujetništvo. Zato bo njegov okus ostal v njem in njegova vonjava ni spremenjena.
Moab was ever at ease from his youth, and he was resting on his lees, and was not emptied from vessel to vessel, and had not gone into exile: therefore had his taste remained in him, and his scent was not changed.
12 Zato, glej, prihajajo dnevi, ‹ govori Gospod, ›ko bom k njemu poslal postopače, ki mu bodo povzročili, da se potepa in izpraznili bodo njegove posode in počili njihove mehove.
Therefore, behold, days are coming, saith the Lord, when I will send unto him tappers, that shall tap him, and they shall empty his vessels, and dash in pieces their bottles.
13 Moáb se bo sramoval Kemoša, kakor se je Izraelova hiša sramovala Betela, njihovega zaupanja.
And Moab shall be ashamed of Kemosh, as the house of Israel were made ashamed because of Beth-el their confidence.
14 Kako pravite: ›Mi smo mogočni in močni možje za vojno?‹
How can ye say, We are mighty and men of bravery for the war?
15 Moáb je oplenjen in odšel gor iz svojih mest in njegovi izbrani mladeniči so odšli dol k pokolu, ‹ govori Kralj, katerega ime je Gospod nad bojevniki.
Moab is wasted, and into his cities hath [the enemy] ascended, and his chosen young men are gone down to the slaughter, saith the King, the Lord of hosts is his name.
16 Blizu je Moábova katastrofa, da pride in njegova stiska silno hiti.
Near is the calamity of Moab to come, and his misfortune hasteneth fast.
17 Vsi vi, ki ste okoli njega, žalujte za njim; in vsi vi, ki poznate njegovo ime, recite; ›Kako je močna opora zlomljena in krasna palica!‹
All ye that are about him bemoan him; and all ye that know his name: say, How is the strong staff broken, the beautiful stick!
18 Ti hči, ki poseljuješ Dibón, pridi dol iz svoje slave in sédi v žeji; kajti plenilec Moába bo prišel nadte in ta bo uničil tvoja oporišča.
Come down from thy glory, and sit in thirst, thou inhabitress, daughter of Dibon; for the waster of Moab cometh up against thee, he destroyeth thy strong-holds.
19 Oh prebivalec Aroêrja, stoj ob poti in oprezaj; in vprašaj tistega, ki beži in tisto, ki pobegne ter reci: ›Kaj se je zgodilo?‹
Stand by the way, and look out, O inhabitress of 'Aro'er: ask him that fleeth, and her that escapeth, say, What hath been done?
20 Moáb je zbegan, kajti zlomljen je. Tulite in vpijte. Povejte v Arnónu, da je Moáb oplenjen.
Moab hath been made ashamed; for it is broken down; wail, and cry aloud: tell ye it by the Arnon, that Moab is wasted,
21 Sodba je prišla nad ravno deželo; nad Holón, nad Jahac, nad Mefáat,
And punishment is come over the land of the plain, over Cholon, and over Yahzah, and over Mepha'ath,
22 nad Dibón, nad Nebó, nad Bet Diblatájim,
And over Dibon, and over Nebo, and over Beth-diblathayim,
23 nad Kirjatájim, nad Bet Gamúl, nad Bet Meón,
And over Kiryathayim, and over Beth-gamul, and over Beth-me'on,
24 nad Kerijót, nad Bocro in nad vsa mesta moábske dežele, daljna ali bližnja.
And over Keriyoth, and over Bozrah, and over all the cities of the land of Moab, that are far and that are near.
25 Moábov rog je odsekan in njegov laket je zlomljen, ‹ govori Gospod.
Hewn away is the horn of Moab, and his arm is broken, saith the Lord.
26 ›Opijanite ga, kajti poveličal se je zoper Gospoda. Tudi Moáb se bo valjal v svojem izbljuvku in tudi on bo v posmeh.
Make him drunken; for he magnified himself against the Lord: and Moab shall wallow in his vomit, and he also shall become [an object] of derision.
27 Mar vam ni bil Izrael v posmeh? Je bil najden med tatovi? Kajti odkar govoriš o njem, poskakuješ od veselja.
For was not Israel a derision unto thee? or was he found among thieves? that whenever thou spokest of him, thou hadst to shake [thy head]?
28 Oh vi, ki prebivate v Moábu, zapustite mesta in prebivajte na skali in bodite podobni golobici, ki dela svoje gnezdo na straneh ustja luknje.
Leave the cities, and dwell on rocks, O ye that dwell in Moab; and be ye like the dove that maketh her nest in the sides of the mouth of rocky clefts.
29 Slišali smo ponos Moába (on je silno ponosen), njegovo nadutost, njegovo aroganco, njegov ponos in oholost njegovega srca.
We have heard the pride of Moab, who is so exceedingly proud, his haughtiness, and his pride, and his arrogance, and the overbearingness of his heart.
30 Poznam njegov bes, ‹ govori Gospod; ›toda to ne bo tako; njegove laži na to ne bodo tako vplivale.
I will know, saith the Lord, his wrath, and how causeless it is: his liars have done what is not right.
31 Zato bom tulil zaradi Moába in vpil zaradi vsega Moába; moje srce bo žalovalo zaradi mož iz Kir Hêresa.
Therefore will I wail for Moab, and for all Moab will I cry out; for the men of Kir-cheres shall people moan.
32 Oh sibmanska trta, jokal bom za teboj z jokanjem Jazêrja. Tvoje rastline so odšle prek morja, segle so celó k jazêrskemu morju. Plenilec je padel na tvoje poletne sadove in na tvojo trgatev.
With the weeping of Ya'zer will I weep for thee, O vine of Sibmah; thy tendrils [once] passed over the sea, they reached as far as to the sea of Ya'zer: over thy summer-fruits and over thy vintage the waster is fallen.
33 Radost in veselje sta vzeta iz obilnega polja moábske dežele. Trti sem velel, da odpove pred vinskimi stiskalnicami. Nihče ne bo mendral z vriskanjem; njihovo vriskanje ne bo vriskanje.
And banished are joy and gladness from Carmel, and from the land of Moab; and I have caused the wine to cease from the wine-presses; none shall tread the press with the vintner's call; battle cry—nor vintner's call.
34 Od krika Hešbóna, celó do Elaléja in celó do Jahaca so izgovarjali svoj glas, od Coarja celó do Horonájima, kakor triletna telica, kajti tudi nimrímske vode bodo zapuščene.
From the loud cry of Cheshbon as far as El'aleh, even unto Yahaz, have they sent forth their voice, from Zo'ar even unto Choronayim, to the third 'Eglath; for the waters also of Nimrim shall become desolate.
35 Poleg tega bom povzročil, da odneha v Moábu, ‹ govori Gospod, ›kdor daruje na visokih krajih in kdor zažiga kadilo svojim bogovom.
Moreover will I cause to cease unto Moab, saith the Lord, him that offereth on the high-places, and him that burneth incense to his gods.
36 Zato bo moje srce ihtelo kakor piščali za Moábom in moje srce bo ihtelo kakor piščali za možmi Kir Hêresa, ker so bogastva, ki jih je pridobil, izginila.
Therefore shall my heart groan for Moab like flutes, and my heart shall groan like flutes for the men of Kir-cheres; for the cause that the remnant of the riches he had gotten are lost.
37 Kajti vsaka glava bo plešasta in vsaka brada pristrižena. Na vseh rokah bodo vrezi in na ledjih vrečevina.
For every head is bald, and every beard is shorn: upon all the hands are cuttings, and upon the loins is sackcloth.
38 Tam bo splošno žalovanje na vseh hišnih strehah Moába in na njegovih ulicah, kajti zlomil sem Moáb kakor posodo, v kateri ni zadovoljstva, ‹ govori Gospod.
Upon all the roofs of Moab, and in her streets, there is everywhere lamentation; for I have broken Moab like a vessel which hath no value, saith the Lord.
39 Tulili bodo, rekoč: »Kako je ta zlomljen! Kako je Moáb s sramoto obrnil hrbet! Tako bo Moáb v posmeh in zaprepadenost vsem okoli njega.‹
Oh, how is it broken down! wail! how hath Moab turned the back with shame! and Moab shall be a derision and a dismay to all those around him.
40 Kajti tako govori Gospod: ›Glej, letel bo kot orel in svoje peruti bo širil nad Moábom.
For thus hath said the Lord, Behold, as the eagle shall he fly, and he shall spread out his wings over Moab.
41 Kerijót je zavzet, oporišča so presenečena in srca mogočnih mož v Moábu bodo na ta dan kakor srce ženske v njenih ostrih bolečinah.
Captured are the fortresses, and the strong-holds are conquered: and the heart of the mighty men of Moab shall be on that day as the heart of a woman in her pangs.
42 Moáb bo uničen pred tem, da bi bil ljudstvo, ker se je poveličeval zoper Gospoda.
And Moab shall be destroyed from being a people; because it hath magnified himself against the Lord.
43 Strah, jama in zanka bodo nad teboj, oh prebivalec Moába, ‹ govori Gospod.
Terror, and the pit, and the snare, shall be upon thee, O inhabitant of Moab, saith the Lord.
44 ›Kdor beži pred strahom, bo padel v jamo, in kdor vstaja iz jame, bo zajet v zanko, kajti jaz bom to privedel nadenj, celó nad Moáb, leto njihovega obiskanja, ‹ govori Gospod.
He that fleeth from the terror shall fall into the pit; and he that getteth up out of the pit shall be caught in the snare; for I will bring upon it, even upon Moab, the year of their visitation, saith the Lord.
45 ›Tisti, ki so zbežali, so stali pod hešbónsko senco zaradi sile. Toda ogenj bo izšel iz Hešbóna, plamen iz srede Sihóna in použil bo Moábov kot in tême upornih.
Under the shadow of Cheshbon stand still, deprived of strength, those that flee; but a fire cometh forth out of Cheshbon, and a flame from the midst of Sichon, and it devoureth the corner of Moab, and the crown of the head of the children of vaunting.
46 Gorje tebi, oh Moáb! Ljudstvo Kemoša se pogublja, kajti tvoji sinovi so zajeti [kot] ujetniki in tvoje hčere [kot] ujetnice.
Woe unto thee, O Moab! lost is the people of Kemosh; for thy sons are taken captives, and thy daughters into captivity.
47 Vendar bom v zadnjih dneh ponovno privedel Moábovo ujetništvo, ‹ govori Gospod. ›Tako daleč je sodba od Moába.‹«
Yet will I bring back again the captivity of Moab in the end of days, saith the Lord. Thus far is the punishment of Moab.
