Agej 2
1 V sedmem mesecu, na enaindvajseti dan meseca, je prišla Gospodova beseda po preroku Ageju, rekoč:
In the seventh [month], on the twenty-first of the month, a word of YHWH has been by the hand of Haggai the prophet, saying,
2 »Govori sedaj Zerubabélu, Šealtiélovemu sinu, voditelju Judeje in Ješúu, Jocadákovemu sinu, vélikemu duhovniku in preostanku ljudstva, rekoč:
“Now speak to Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua son of Josedech, the high priest, and to the remnant of the people, saying,
3 ›Kdo je preostal med vami, ki je to hišo videl v njeni prvi slavi? In kakšno jo vidite sedaj? Mar ni to v vaših očeh v primerjavi z njo kakor nič?
Who among you has been left that saw this house in its former glory? And what are you seeing it now? Is it not, compared with it, as nothing in your eyes?
4 Vendar bodi sedaj močan, oh Zerubabél, ‹ govori Gospod ›in bodi močan, oh Ješúa, Jocadákov sin, véliki duhovnik in bodi močno, vse ljudstvo dežele, ‹ govori Gospod ›in delajte, kajti jaz sem z vami, ‹ govori Gospod nad bojevniki.
And now, be strong, O Zerubbabel,” A declaration of YHWH, “And be strong, O Joshua, son of Josedech, the high priest, And be strong, all you people of the land,” A declaration of YHWH, “And do, for I [am] with you,” A declaration of YHWH of Hosts.
5 Glede na besedo, s katero sem se zavezal z vami, ko ste prišli iz Egipta, tako moj duh ostaja med vami. Ne bojte se.‹
“The thing that I covenanted with you, In your coming forth from Egypt, And My Spirit is remaining in your midst, do not fear.”
6 Kajti tako govori Gospod nad bojevniki: ›Še enkrat, to je kratek čas in stresel bom nebo, zemljo, morje in kopno zemljo
For thus said YHWH of Hosts: “Yet once more—it [is] a little, And I am shaking the heavens and the earth, And the sea, and the dry land,
7 in stresel bom vse narode in želja vseh narodov bo prišla in to hišo bom napolnil s slavo, ‹ govori Gospod nad bojevniki.
And I have shaken all the nations, And they have come [to] the desire of all the nations, And I have filled this house [with] glory,” said YHWH of Hosts.
8 ›Moje je srebro in moje je zlato, ‹ govori Gospod nad bojevniki.
“The silver [is] Mine, and the gold [is] Mine,” A declaration of YHWH of Hosts.
9 ›Slava te poslednje hiše bo večja kakor prejšnje, ‹ govori Gospod nad bojevniki, ›in na tem kraju bom dal mir, ‹ govori Gospod nad bojevniki.«
“Greater is the glory of this latter house, Than of the former,” said YHWH of Hosts, “And I give peace in this place,” A declaration of YHWH of Hosts.
10 Na štiriindvajseti dan devetega meseca, v drugem letu Dareja, je prišla Gospodova beseda po preroku Ageju, rekoč:
On the twenty-fourth of the ninth [month], in the second year of Darius, a word of YHWH has been by the hand of Haggai the prophet, saying,
11 »Tako govori Gospod nad bojevniki: ›Vprašaj torej duhovnike glede postave, rekoč:
Thus said YHWH of Hosts: “Now ask the priests of the Law, saying,
12 ›Če nekdo nosi sveto meso v krajcu svoje obleke in se s krajcem svojega oblačila dotakne kruha ali juhe ali vina ali olja ali katerekoli hrane, ali bo ta postala sveta?‹« Duhovniki so odgovorili in rekli: »Ne.«
Behold, [when] one carries holy flesh in the skirt of his garment, and he has come with his skirt against the bread, or against the stew, or against the wine, or against the oil, or against any food—is it holy?” And the priests answer and say, “No.”
13 Potem je Agej rekel: »Če se nekdo, ki je nečist s truplom, dotakne karkoli od tega ali bo to nečisto?« Duhovniki so odgovorili in rekli: »To bo nečisto.«
And Haggai says, “If the unclean of body comes against any of these, is it unclean?” And the priests answer and say, “It is unclean.”
14 Potem je Agej odgovoril in rekel: »Takšno je to ljudstvo in takšen je ta narod pred menoj, « govori Gospod, »in takšno je vsako delo njihovih rok; in to, kar tam darujejo, je nečisto.
And Haggai answers and says, “So [is] this people, and so [is] this nation before Me,” a declaration of YHWH, “and so [is] every work of their hands, and that which they bring near there—it is unclean.
15 In sedaj vas prosim, preudarite od tega dne in naprej, od preden je bil kamen položen na kamen v Gospodovem templju.
And now, please lay [it] to your heart, From this day and onward, Before the laying of stone to stone in the temple of YHWH.
16 Odkar so bili tisti dnevi, ko je nekdo prišel h kupu dvajsetih mer, jih je bilo tam samo deset. Ko je nekdo prišel, da iz stiskalnice zajame petdeset posod, jih je bilo tam samo dvajset.
From that time [one] has come to a heap of twenty, And it has been ten, He has come to the wine vat to draw out fifty measures, And it has been twenty.
17 Udaril sem vas s kvarjenjem in s plesnijo in s točo v vseh naporih vaših rok, vendar se niste obrnili k meni, « govori Gospod.
I have struck you with blasting, And with mildew, and with hail—All the work of your hands, And there is none of you with Me,” A declaration of YHWH.
18 Preudarite torej od tega dne in naprej, od štiriindvajsetega dne devetega meseca, celo od dneva, ko je bil položen temelj Gospodovega templja, preudarite to.
“Now set [it] to your heart, from this day and onward, from the twenty-fourth day of the ninth [month], even from the day that the temple of YHWH has been founded, set [it] to your heart.
19 Je seme še v skednju? Da, do tega trenutka trta, figovo drevo, granatno jabolko in oljka še niso obrodili. Od tega dne vas bom blagoslavljal.«
Is the seed yet in the barn? And until now the vine and the fig, And the pomegranate, and the olive-tree, Have not borne—from this day I bless.”
20 Ponovno je prišla Gospodova beseda k Ageju, v štiriindvajsetem dnevu meseca, rekoč:
And there is a word of YHWH a second time to Haggai, on the twenty-fourth of the month, saying,
21 »Govori Zerubabélu, voditelju Juda, rekoč: ›Stresel bom nebo in zemljo
“Speak to Zerubbabel governor of Judah, saying, I am shaking the heavens and the earth,
22 in prevrnil bom prestol kraljestev in uničil bom moč poganskih kraljestev in prevrnil bom bojne vozove in tiste, ki se peljejo na njih, in konji in njihovi jezdeci bodo padli, vsak pod mečem svojega brata.
And have overturned the throne of kingdoms, And I have destroyed the strength of kingdoms of the nations, And overturned chariot and its charioteers, And horses and their riders have come down, Each by the sword of his brother.
23 Na tisti dan, « govori Gospod nad bojevniki, »te bom vzel, oh Zerubabél, moj služabnik, Šealtiélov sin, « govori Gospod »in te naredil kakor pečat, kajti tebe sem izbral, « govori Gospod nad bojevniki.
In that day,” a declaration of YHWH of Hosts, “I take you, Zerubbabel, son of Shealtiel, My servant,” A declaration of YHWH, “And have set you as a signet, For I have fixed on you,” A declaration of YHWH of Hosts!
