1 Gospod je rekel Noetu: »Pridi ti in vsa tvoja hiša v ladjo, kajti pred seboj sem te videl pravičnega v tem rodu.
And he said Yahweh to Noah go you and all household your into the ark for you I have seen righteous before me in the generation this.
2 Od vsake čiste živali boš vzel k sebi po sedmero, samca in njegovo samico. Od živali, ki niso čiste, po dvoje, samca in njegovo samico.
Of all - the livestock clean you will take for yourself seven seven a male and female its and of the animal[s] which not [is] clean it two a male and female its.
3 Tudi od perjadi neba po sedmero, samca in samico, da na obličju vse zemlje ohraniš seme živo.
Also of [the] bird[s] of the heavens seven seven male and female to preserve alive offspring on [the] surface of all the earth.
4 Kajti še sedem dni in povzročil bom, da na zemljo dežuje štirideset dni in štirideset noči; in vsako živo snov, ki sem jo naredil, bom uničil izpred obličja zemlje.«
For to days yet seven I [am] about to bring rain on the earth forty day[s] and forty night[s] and I will wipe all the existence which I have made from on [the] surface of the ground.
5 Noe je storil glede na vse, kar mu je Gospod zapovedal.
And he did Noah according to all that he commanded him Yahweh.
6 Noe je bil star šeststo let, ko je bila na zemlji poplava vodá.
And Noah [was] a son of six hundred year[s] and the flood was water on the earth.
7 Noe je zaradi poplavnih vodá vstopil v ladjo in njegovi sinovi in njegova žena in žene njegovih sinov z njim.
And he went Noah and sons his and wife his and [the] wives of sons his with him into the ark because of [the] waters of the flood.
8 Od čistih živali in od živali, ki niso čiste in od perjadi in od vsake stvari, ki se plazi na zemlji,
Of the animal[s] clean and of the animal[s] which not [was] it clean and of the bird[s] and all that [was] creeping on the ground.
9 so po dve in dve vstopile k Noetu v ladjo, samec in samica, kakor je Bog zapovedal Noetu.
Two two they came to Noah into the ark male and female just as he had commanded God Noah.
10 Po sedmih dneh pa se je pripetilo, da so bile na zemlji poplavne vode.
And it was to [the] seven the days and [the] waters of the flood they were on the earth.
11 V šeststotem letu Noetovega življenja, v drugem mesecu, sedemnajsti dan meseca, istega dne so izbruhnili vsi studenci velike globine in okna neba so bila odprta.
In year six hundred year of [the] life of Noah in the month second on [the] seven-teen day of the month on the day this they were split open all [the] springs of [the] deep great and [the] floodgates of the heavens they were opened.
12 In dež je bil na zemlji štirideset dni in štirideset noči.
And it was the rain on the earth forty day[s] and forty night[s].
13 Prav isti dan so vstopili v ladjo Noe ter Sem in Ham in Jafet, Noetovi sinovi in Noetova žena in z njim tri žene njegovih sinov.
On [the] substance of the day this he went Noah and Shem and Ham and Japheth [the] sons of Noah and [the] wife of Noah and [the] three [the] wives of sons his with them into the ark.
14 Oni in vsaka žival po njeni vrsti in vsa živina po njeni vrsti in vsaka plazeča stvar, ki se plazi na zemlji, po njeni vrsti in vsaka perjad po njeni vrsti, vsaka ptica od vsake sorte.
They and every animal to kind its and all the livestock to kind its and every creeping thing which creeps on the earth to kind its and every bird to kind its every bird every wing.
15 Vstopile so k Noetu v ladjo, [po] dve in dve od vsega mesa, v katerem je dih življenja.
And they came to Noah into the ark two two of all flesh which [was] in it [the] breath of life.
16 Te, ki so vstopile, so vstopile samec in samica od vsega mesa, kakor mu je Bog zapovedal. Gospod pa ga je zaprl noter.
And those [which] came male and female of all flesh they came just as he had commanded him God and he closed Yahweh behind him.
17 Na zemlji je bila poplava štirideset dni. Vode so narasle in podpirale ladjo in ta je bila dvignjena nad zemljo.
And it was the flood forty day[s] on the earth and they increased the waters and they lifted the ark and it rose from on the earth.
18 Vode so prevladale in silno narasle na zemlji in ladja je plula na obličju vodá.
And they increased the waters and they increased exceedingly on the earth and it went the ark on [the] surface of the waters.
19 Vode so silno prevladale na zemlji in vsi visoki hribi, ki so bili pod celotnim nebom, so bili pokriti.
And the waters they increased exceedingly exceedingly on the earth and they were covered all the mountains high which [were] under all the heavens.
20 Vode so se dvignile [in] prevladale [za] petnajst komolcev in gore so bile pokrite.
Fif-teen cubit[s] from to above they increased the waters and they were covered the mountains.
21 Umrlo je vse meso, ki se je gibalo na zemlji, tako od perjadi, od živine, od živali in od vsake plazeče stvari, ki se plazi na zemlji in vsakega človeka.
And it died all flesh - which crept on the earth among the bird[s] and among the livestock and among the animal[s] and among every swarming thing which swarms on the earth and every human.
22 Vse, v čigar nosnicah je bil dih življenja, od vsega, kar [jih] je bilo na kopni zemlji, je umrlo.
All that [the] breath of [the] breath of life [was] in nostrils its from all that [was] on the dry ground they died.
23 Uničena je bila vsaka živa snov, ki je bila na obličju tal, tako človek kakor živina, plazeče stvari in perjad neba; in bile so uničene z zemlje. Živ je ostal samo Noe in tisti, ki so bili z njim na ladji.
And he wiped out all the existence - which - [was] on [the] surface of the ground from humankind unto animal[s] unto creeping thing[s] and unto [the] bird[s] of the heavens and they were wiped out from the earth and he was left only Noah and which [were] with him in the ark.
24 Vode so prevladovale na zemlji sto petdeset dni.
And they increased the waters on the earth fifty and one hundred day[s].
