1 Potem se Jožef ni mogel več zadržati pred vsemi tistimi, ki so stali z njim in zaklical je: »Naredite, da vsakdo gre izpred mene.« Noben človek ni stal z njim, medtem ko se je Jožef dal spoznati svojim bratom.
Then Ioseph could not refraine him selfe before all that stoode by him, but hee cryed, Haue forth euery man from me. And there taryed not one with him, while Ioseph vttered himselfe vnto his brethren.
2 Na glas je zajokal in Egipčani in faraonova hiša so slišali.
And hee wept and cried, so that the Egyptians heard: the house of Pharaoh heard also.
3 Jožef je svojim bratom rekel: »Jaz sem Jožef. Ali moj oče še živi?« Bratje pa mu niso mogli odgovoriti, kajti ob njegovi prisotnosti so bili zbegani.
Then Ioseph sayde to his brethren, I am Ioseph: doeth my father yet liue? But his brethren coulde not answere him, for they were astonished at his presence.
4 Jožef je svojim bratom rekel: »Približajte se mi, prosim vas.« Prišli so bliže. Rekel je: »Jaz sem vaš brat Jožef, ki ste ga ste prodali v Egipt.
Againe, Ioseph sayde to his brethren, Come neere, I pray you, to mee. And they came neere. And he sayde, I am Ioseph your brother, whom ye sold into Egypt.
5 Zdaj torej ne bodite užaloščeni niti jezni nase, da ste me prodali sèm, kajti Bog me je poslal pred vami, da ohrani življenje.
Nowe therefore be not sad, neither grieued with your selues, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you for your preseruation.
6 Kajti ti dve leti je bila lakota v deželi in še pet let je, v katerih ne bo niti setve niti žetve.
For nowe two yeeres of famine haue bene through ye land, and fiue yeeres are behind, wherein neither shalbe earing nor haruest.
7 Bog pa me je poslal pred vami, da vam na zemlji ohrani potomstvo in da vaša življenja reši z veliko osvoboditvijo.
Wherefore God sent me before you to preserue your posteritie in this land, and to saue you aliue by a great deliuerance.
8 Tako sedaj niste bili vi, ki ste me poslali sèm, temveč Bog. Naredil me je očeta faraonu in gospodarja vsej njegovi hiši in vladarja po vsej egiptovski deželi.
Now the you sent not me hither, but God, who hath made mee a father vnto Pharaoh, and lorde of all his house, and ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.
9 Pohitite in pojdite gor po mojega očeta in mu recite: ›Tako govori tvoj sin Jožef: ›Bog me je naredil gospodarja vsemu Egiptu. Pridi dol k meni, ne mudi se.
Haste you and go vp to my father, and tel him, Thus saieth thy sonne Ioseph, God hath made me lord of all Egypt: come downe to me, tary not.
10 Prebival boš v gošenski deželi in boš blizu mene, ti in tvoji otroci, tvojih otrok otroci in tvoji tropi, tvoje črede in vse, kar imaš
And thou shalt dwel in ye land of Goshen, and shalt be neere me, thou and thy children, and thy childrens children, and thy sheepe, and thy beastes, and all that thou hast.
11 in tam te bom hranil. Kajti še pet let lakote je, da ne bi ti in tvoja družina in vse, kar imaš, prišlo v revščino.‹
Also I will nourish thee there (for yet remaine fiue yeeres of famine) lest thou perish through pouertie, thou and thy houshold, and all that thou hast.
12 Glejte, vaše oči vidijo in oči mojega brata Benjamina, da so to moja usta, ki vam govorijo.
And behold, your eyes doe see, and the eyes of my brother Beniamin, that my mouth speaketh to you.
13 Vi pa boste mojemu očetu povedali o vsej moji slavi v Egiptu in o vsem tem, kar ste videli in pohiteli boste in mojega očeta privedli sèm dol.«
Therefore tel my father of al mine honour in Egypt, and of all that ye haue seene, and make haste, and bring my father hither.
14 Planil je na vrat svojega brata Benjamina ter zajokal in Benjamin je jokal na njegovem vratu.
Then hee fell on his brother Beniamins necke, and wept, and Beniamin wept on his necke.
15 Poleg tega je poljubil vse svoje brate in jokal nad njimi in potem so njegovi bratje govorili z njim.
Moreouer, he kissed all his brethren, and wept vpon them: and afterwarde his brethren talked with him.
16 Njegova slava je bila slišana v faraonovi hiši, rekoč: »Prišli so Jožefovi bratje.« In to je dobro ugajalo faraonu in njegovim služabnikom.
And the tidinges came vnto Pharaohs house, so that they said, Iosephs brethre are come: and it pleased Pharaoh well, and his seruants.
17 Faraon je rekel Jožefu: »Reci svojim bratom: ›To storite. Natovorite svoje živali in pojdite in pridite v kánaansko deželo.
Then Pharaoh said vnto Ioseph, Say to thy brethren, This doe ye, lade your beastes and depart, go to the land of Canaan,
18 Vzemite svojega očeta in svoje družine in pridite k meni in jaz vam bom dal dobrega iz egiptovske dežele, vi pa boste jedli tolščo dežele.
And take your father, and your houshoulds, and come to me, and I wil giue you the best of the land of Egypt, and ye shall eate of the fat of the land.
19 Sedaj ste zapovedani, storite tole. Vzemite si vozov iz egiptovske dežele za svoje malčke in za svoje žene in pripeljite svojega očeta in pridite.
And I commaund thee, Thus doe ye, take you charets out of the lande of Egypt for your children, and for your wiues, and bring your father and come.
20 Ne ozirajte se na vaše stvari, kajti dobrine vse egiptovske dežele so vaše.‹«
Also regarde not your stuffe: for the best of all the land of Egypt is yours.
21 Izraelovi otroci so tako storili in Jožef jim je dal vozove, glede na faraonovo zapoved in dal jim je popotnico za pot.
And the children of Israel did so: and Ioseph gaue them charets according to the commandement of Pharaoh: hee gaue them vitaile also for the iourney.
22 Vsem izmed njih je dal, vsakemu moškemu je dal zamenjavo oblačila. Toda Benjaminu je dal tristo koščkov srebra in pet zamenjav oblačila.
He gaue them all, none except, change of raiment: but vnto Beniamin he gaue three hundreth pieces of siluer, and fiue sutes of raiment.
23 Svojemu očetu je poslal na ta način: deset natovorjenih oslov z dobrimi stvarmi iz Egipta in deset oslic, natovorjenih z žitom, kruhom in hrano za svojega očeta po poti.
And vnto his father likewise hee sent ten hee asses laden with the best things of Egypt, and ten shee asses laden with wheate, and bread and meate for his father by the way.
24 Tako je svoje brate poslal proč in so odrinili in rekel jim je: »Glejte, da se po poti ne prepirate.«
So sent he his brethren away, and they departed: and he sayde vnto them, Fall not out by the way.
25 Dvignili so se iz Egipta in prišli v kánaansko deželo k svojemu očetu Jakobu
Then they went vp from Egypt, and came vnto the land of Canaan vnto Iaakob their father,
26 in mu povedali, rekoč: »Jožef je še živ in je guverner nad vso egiptovsko deželo.« Jakobovo srce pa je slabelo, kajti ni jim verjel.
And tolde him, saying, Ioseph is yet aliue, and he also is gouernour ouer all the lande of Egypt, and Iaakobs heart failed: for he beleeued them not.
27 Povedali so mu vse Jožefove besede, ki jim jih je rekel. In ko je videl vozove, ki jih je poslal Jožef, da ga odpeljejo, je oživel duh njihovega očeta Jakoba.
And they told him al the words of Ioseph, which he had said vnto the: but when he saw the charets, which Ioseph had sent to cary him, then the spirit of Iaakob their father reuiued.
28 Izrael je rekel: » To je dovolj, moj sin Jožef je še živ. Šel bom in ga pogledal, preden umrem.«
And Israel said, I haue inough: Ioseph my sonne is yet aliue: I will go and see him yer I die.
