1 Ko je bil Abram star devetindevetdeset let, se je Gospod prikazal Abramu in mu rekel: »Jaz sem Vsemogočni Bog, hodi pred menoj in bodi popoln.

3 Abram je padel na svoj obraz in Bog je z njim govoril, rekoč:

6 Naredil te bom silno rodovitnega in iz tebe bom naredil narode in iz tebe bodo prišli kralji.

and Y schal make thee to wexe ful greetli, and Y schal sette thee in folkis, and kyngis schulen go out of thee;

7 Vzpostavil bom svojo zavezo med seboj in teboj in tvojim semenom za teboj po njihovih rodovih za večno zavezo, da bom Bog tebi in tvojemu semenu za teboj.

and Y schal make my couenaunt bitwixe me and thee, and bitwixe thi seed after thee, in her generaciouns, bi euerlastynge bond of pees, that Y be thi God, and of thi seed after thee;

8 Tebi in tvojemu semenu za teboj bom dal deželo, v kateri si tujec, vso kánaansko deželo, za večno posest in jaz bom njihov Bog.«

and Y schal yyue to thee and to thi seed after thee the lond of thi pilgrymage, al the lond of Chanaan, in to euerlastynge possessioun, and Y schal be the God of hem.

9 Bog je rekel Abrahamu: »Držal se boš moje zaveze, torej ti in tvoje seme za teboj po njihovih rodovih.

God seide eft to Abraham, And therfor thou schalt kepe my couenaunt, and thi seed after thee, in her generaciouns.

12 Kdor je star osem dni, naj bo med vami obrezan, vsak fantek po svojih rodovih, kdor je rojen v hiši ali kupljen z denarjem kateregakoli tujca, ki ni iz tvojega potomstva.

A yong child of eiyte daies schal be circumsidid in you, al male kynde in youre generaciouns, as wel a borun seruaunt as a seruaunt bouyt schal be circumsidid, and who euere is of youre kynrede he schal be circumsidid;

13 Kdor je rojen v tvoji hiši in kdor je kupljen z denarjem, mora biti obrezan in moja zaveza bo v vašem mesu za večno zavezo.

15 Bog je rekel Abrahamu: »Kar se tiče tvoje žene Saráje, njenega imena ne boš več klical Sarája, temveč Sara bo njeno ime.

and Y schal blesse hir, and of hir I schal yyue to thee a sone, whom I schal blesse, and he schal be in to naciouns, and kyngis of puplis schulen be borun of hym.

17 Potem je Abraham padel na svoj obraz, se zasmejal in v svojem srcu rekel: »Ali bo otrok rojen njemu, ki je star sto let? In ali bo Sara, ki je stara devetdeset let, rodila?«

Abraham felde doun on his face, and leiyede in his hert, and seide, Gessist thou, whethir a sone schal be borun to a man of an hundrid yeer, and Sara of nynti yeer schal bere child?

18 Abraham je rekel Bogu: »Oh, da bi Izmael lahko živel pred teboj!«

And he seide to the Lord, Y wolde that Ismael lyue bifore thee.

19 Bog je rekel: »Tvoja žena Sara ti bo zares rodila sina in ti boš njegovo ime klical Izak in vzpostavil bom svojo zavezo z njim za večno zavezo in s tvojim semenom za njim.

And the Lord seide to Abraham, Sara, thi wijf, schal bere a sone to thee, and thou schalt clepe his name Ysaac, and Y schal make my couenaunt to hym in to euerlastynge boond of pees, and to his seed aftir hym;

20 In kar se tiče Izmaela, sem te uslišal: ›Glej, blagoslovil sem ga in naredil ga bom rodovitnega in ga silno pomnožil. Dvanajst princev bo zaplodil in naredil ga bom [za] velik narod.‹

also on Ysmael Y haue herd thee, lo! Y schal blesse him, and Y schal encreesse, and Y schal multiplie him greetli; he schal gendre twelue dukis, and Y schal make hym in to a greet folk.

21 Toda svojo zavezo bom vzpostavil z Izakom, ki ti ga bo rodila Sara ob tem določenem času, v naslednjem letu.«

Forsothe Y schal make my couenaunt to Ysaac, whom Sare schal childe to thee in this tyme in the tother yeer.

22 In prenehal je govoriti z njim in Bog se je dvignil od Abrahama.

And whanne the word of the spekere with hym was endid, God stiede fro Abraham.

23 Abraham je vzel svojega sina Izmaela in vse, ki so bili rojeni v njegovi hiši in vse, kar je kupil s svojim denarjem, vsakega moškega izmed ljudi Abrahamove hiše in obrezal meso njihove prednje kožice na prav isti dan, kakor mu je rekel Bog.

24 Abraham je bil star devetindevetdeset let, ko je bil obrezan v mesu svoje prednje kožice.

25 In njegov sin Izmael je bil star trinajst let, ko je bil obrezan v mesu svoje prednje kožice.

and Ismael, his sone, hadde fillid threttene yeer in the tyme of his circumsicioun.

26 Na prav isti dan sta bila obrezana Abraham in njegov sin Izmael.

Abraham was circumsidid in the same day, and Ismael his sone,

27 Vsi ljudje njegove hiše, rojeni v hiši in kupljeni z denarjem od tujca, so bili obrezani z njim.

and alle men of his hows, as wel borun seruauntis as bouyt and aliens, weren circumcidid togidre.
