Ezra 10
1 Torej ko je Ezra molil in ko je priznaval, jokal in se metal dol pred Božjo hišo, se je tam k njemu iz Izraela zbrala zelo velika skupnost mož, žena in otrok, kajti ljudstvo je zelo hudo jokalo.
And at Ezra’s praying, and at his making confession, weeping and casting himself down before the house of God, there have been gathered to him out of Israel a very great assembly—men and women and children—for the people have wept, multiplying weeping.
2 Jehiélov sin Šehanjája, eden izmed Elámovih sinov, je odgovoril in Ezru rekel: »Pregrešili smo se zoper svojega Boga in si jemali tuje žene izmed ljudstva dežele, vendar je sedaj v Izraelu upanje glede te stvari.
And Shechaniah son of Jehiel, of the sons of Elam, answers and says to Ezra, “We have trespassed against our God, and we settle strange women of the peoples of the land; and now there is hope for Israel concerning this,
3 Sedaj torej sklenimo zavezo s svojim Bogom, da odslovimo vse žene in tiste, ki so se rodili od njih, glede na nasvet mojega gospoda in tistih, ki trepetajo ob zapovedi našega Boga. In to naj bo storjeno glede na postavo.
and now, let us make a covenant with our God, to cause all the women to go out, and that which is born of them, by the counsel of the Lord, and of those trembling at the command of our God, and according to law it is done;
4 Vstani, kajti ta zadeva pripada tebi. Tudi mi bomo s teboj. Bodi odločnega poguma in to naredi.«
rise, for on you [is] the matter, and we [are] with you; be strong, and do.”
5 Potem je Ezra vstal in pripravil vodilne duhovnike, Lévijevce in ves Izrael, da prisežejo, da bodo storili glede na to besedo. In so prisegli.
And Ezra rises, and causes the heads of the priests, the Levites, and all Israel, to swear to do according to this word—and they swear.
6 Potem je Ezra vstal izpred Božje hiše in odšel v sobo Eljašíbovega sina Johanána. Ko je prišel tja, ni jedel kruha niti pil vode, kajti žaloval je zaradi prestopka tistih, ki so bili odvedeni proč.
And Ezra rises from before the house of God, and goes to the chamber of Jehohanan son of Eliashib; indeed, he goes there, bread he has not eaten, and water he has not drunk, for he is mourning because of the trespass of the expulsion.
7 Naredili so razglas po vsej Judeji in Jeruzalemu, vsem otrokom iz ujetništva, da naj se skupaj zberejo v Jeruzalemu.
And they cause a voice to pass over into Judah and Jerusalem, to all sons of the expulsion, to be gathered to Jerusalem,
8 In da kdorkoli ne bo hotel priti v treh dneh, glede na nasvet princev in starešin, bo vse njegovo imetje zaseženo in on sam oddvojen od skupnosti tistih, ki so bili odvedeni proč.
and everyone who does not come in by the third day, according to the counsel of the heads and the elderly, all his substance is devoted, and himself separated from the assembly of the expulsion.
9 Potem so se v treh dneh vsi možje iz Juda in Benjamina zbrali skupaj v Jeruzalemu. To je bil deveti mesec, na dvanajsti dan meseca, in vse ljudstvo je sedelo na ulici Božje hiše in trepetalo zaradi te zadeve in zaradi velikega dežja.
And all the men of Judah and Benjamin are gathered to Jerusalem by the third day, it [is] the ninth month, on the twentieth of the month, and all the people sit in the broad place of the house of God, trembling on account of the matter and of the showers.
10 Duhovnik Ezra je vstal in jim rekel: »Pregrešili ste se in si vzeli tuje ženske, da povečate Izraelov prekršek.
And Ezra the priest rises and says to them, “You have trespassed, and you settle strange women, to add to the guilt of Israel;
11 Zdaj torej naredite priznanje Gospodu, Bogu svojih očetov in storite njegovo voljo in se ločite od ljudstva dežele in od tujih žena.«
and now, make confession to YHWH, God of your fathers, and do His good pleasure, and be separated from the peoples of the land, and from the strange women.”
12 Potem je vsa skupnost odgovorila in z močnim glasom rekla: »Kakor si rekel, tako moramo storiti.«
And all the assembly answers and says [with] a great voice, “Right; according to your word—on us to do;
13 Toda ljudstva je mnogo in to je čas obilnega dežja in mi nismo zmožni stati zunaj niti to ni delo enega dne ali dveh, kajti mnogo nas je, ki smo se pregrešili v tej stvari.
but the people [are] many, and [it is] the time of showers, and there is no power to stand outside, and the work [is] not for one day, nor for two, for we have multiplied to transgress in this thing.
14 Naj sedaj naši voditelji vse skupnosti vstanejo in naj vsi, ki so si v naših mestih vzeli tuje žene, pridejo ob določenih časih in z njimi starešine iz vsakega mesta in njihovi sodniki, dokler kruti bes našega Boga zaradi te zadeve ne bo odvrnjen od nas.
Please let our heads of all the assembly stand; and all who [are] in our cities, who have settled strange wives, come in at [the] appointed times, and with them [the] elderly of city and city, and judges in it, until the turning back of the fury of the wrath of our God from us, for this thing.”
15 Samo Asaélov sin Jonatan in Tikvájev sin Jahzejá sta bila zaposlena okoli te zadeve. Mešulám in Lévijevec Šabetáj pa sta jima pomagala.
Only Jonathan son of Asahel, and Jahaziah son of Tikvah, stood against this, and Meshullam, and Shabbethai the Levite, helped them.
16 Otroci ujetništva so storili tako. Duhovnik Ezra z nekaterimi vodilnimi očeti, po hiši njihovih očetov in vsi izmed njih po njihovih imenih, so se oddvojili in se usedli na prvi dan desetega meseca, da preiščejo zadevo.
And the sons of the expulsion do so, and Ezra the priest, [and] men, heads of the fathers, for the house of their fathers, are separated, even all of them by name, and they sit on the first day of the tenth month, to examine the matter;
17 In z vsemi možmi, ki so si vzeli tuje žene, so zaključili do prvega dne prvega meseca.
and they finish with all the men who have settled strange women to the first day of the first month.
18 Med sinovi duhovnikov so bili najdeni, da so si vzeli tuje žene, namreč od Ješúvovih sinov Jocadákov sin in njegovi bratje Maasejá, Eliézer, Jaríb in Gedaljá.
And there are found of the sons of the priests that have settled strange women: of the sons of Jeshua son of Jozadak, and his brothers, Maaseiah, and Eliezer, and Jarib, and Gedaliah;
19 Dali so svoje roke, da bodo odslovili svoje žene in ker so bili krivi, so darovali ovna od tropa za svoj prekršek.
and they give their hand to send out their wives, and being guilty, a ram of the flock for their guilt.
20 Izmed Imêrjevih sinov Hananí in Zebadjá.
And of the sons of Immer: Hanani and Zebadiah;
21 Izmed Harímovih sinov Maasejá, Elija, Šemajá, Jehiél in Uzíjah.
and of the sons of Harim: Maaseiah, and Elijah, and Shemaiah, and Jehiel, and Uzziah;
22 Izmed Pašhúrjevih sinov Eljoenáj, Maasejá, Jišmaél, Netanél, Jozabád in Elasá.
and of the sons of Pashhur: Elioenai, Maaseiah, Ishmael, Nethaneel, Jozabad, and Elasah.
23 Tudi izmed Lévijevcev: Jozabád, Šimí, Kelajá (isti je Kelitá), Petahjá, Juda in Eliézer.
And of the Levites: Jozabad, and Shimei, and Kelaiah (he [is] Kelita), Pethahiah, Judah, and Eliezer.
24 Tudi izmed pevcev Eljašíb in izmed vratarjev Šalúm, Telem in Urí.
And of the singers: Eliashib. And of the gatekeepers: Shallum, and Telem, and Uri.
25 Poleg tega od Izraela izmed Paróševih sinov Ramjá, Malkijá, Mijamín, Eleazar, Malkijá in Benajá.
And of Israel: of the sons of Parosh: Ramiah, and Jeziah, and Malchijah, and Miamin, and Eleazar, and Malchijah, and Benaiah.
26 Izmed Elámovih sinov Matanjá, Zeharjá, Jehiél, Abdí, Jeremót in Elijá.
And of the sons of Elam: Mattaniah, Zechariah, and Jehiel, and Abdi, and Jeremoth, and Elijah.
27 Izmed Zatújevih sinov Eljoenáj, Eljašíb, Matanjá, Jeremót, Zabád in Azizá.
And of the sons of Zattu: Elioenai, Eliashib, Mattaniah, and Jeremoth, and Zabad, and Aziza.
28 Tudi izmed Bebájevih sinov Johanán, Hananjá, Zabáj in Atláj.
And of the sons of Bebai: Jehohanan, Hananiah, Zabbai, Athlai.
29 Izmed Baníjevih sinov Mešulám, Malúh, Adajá, Jašúb, Šeál in Ramót.
And of the sons of Bani: Meshullam, Malluch, and Adaiah, Jashub, and Sheal, and Ramoth.
30 Izmed Pahat Moábovih sinov Adná, Kelál, Benajá, Maasejá, Matanjá, Becalél, Binúj in Manáse.
And of the sons of Pahath-Moab: Adna, and Chelal, Benaiah, Maaseiah, Mattaniah, Bezaleel, and Binnui, and Manasseh.
31 In izmed Harímovih sinov Eliézer, Jišijá, Malkijá, Šemajá, Šimón,
And of the sons of Harim: Eliezer, Ishijah, Malchiah, Shemaiah, Shimeon,
32 Benjamin, Malúh in Šemarjá.
Benjamin, Malluch, Shemariah.
33 Izmed Hašúmovih sinov Matenáj, Matatá, Zabád, Elifélet, Jeremáj, Manáse in Šimí.
Of the sons of Hashum: Mattenai, Mattathah, Zabad, Eliphelet, Jeremai, Manasseh, Shimei.
34 Izmed Baníjevih sinov Maadáj, Amrám, Uél,
Of the sons of Bani: Maadai, Amram, and Uel,
35 Benajá, Bedjá, Keluhí,
Benaiah, Bedeiah, Cheluhu,
36 Vanjá, Meremót, Eljašíb,
Vaniah, Meremoth, Eliashib,
37 Matanjá, Matenáj, Jaasáj,
Mattaniah, Mattenai, and Jaasau,
38 Baní, Binúj, Šimí,
and Bani, and Binnui, Shimei,
39 Šelemjá, Natána, Adajá,
and Shelemiah, and Nathan, and Adaiah,
40 Mahnadbáj, Šašáj, Šaráj,
Machnadbai, Shashai, Sharai,
41 Azarél, Šelemjá, Šemarjá,
Azareel, and Shelemiah, Shemariah,
42 Šalúm, Amarjá in Jožef.

43 Izmed Nebójevih sinov Jeiél, Matitjá, Zabád, Zebiná, Jadáj, Joél in Benajá.
Of the sons of Nebo: Jeiel, Mattithiah, Zabad, Zebina, Jadau, and Joel, Benaiah;
44 Vsi ti so si vzeli tuje žene in nekateri izmed njih so imeli žene, s katerimi so imeli otroke.
all these have taken strange women, and there are of them women who adopt sons.
