1 Kdor je ranjen v modih ali ima odrezan ud, ne bo vstopil v Gospodovo skupnost.
He that is a eunuch, whether he have been crushed or cut, shall not come into the congregation of Jehovah.
2 Mešanec ne bo vstopil v Gospodovo skupnost. Celo do njegovega desetega rodu ne bo vstopil v Gospodovo skupnost.
A bastard shall not come into the congregation of Jehovah; even his tenth generation shall not come into the congregation of Jehovah.
3 Amónec ali Moábec ne bosta vstopila v Gospodovo skupnost. Celo do njunega desetega rodu ne bosta vstopila v Gospodovo skupnost na veke,
An Ammonite or Moabite shall not come into the congregation of Jehovah; even their tenth generation shall not come into the congregation of Jehovah for ever;
4 ker vas niso srečali s kruhom in vodo na poti, ko ste izšli iz Egipta in ker so zoper tebe najeli Beórjevega sina Bileáma iz Petórja v Mezopotamiji, da te prekolne.
because they met you not with bread and with water on the way, when ye came forth out of Egypt, and because they hired against thee Balaam the son of Beor, of Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse thee.
5 Kljub temu Gospod, tvoj Bog, ni hotel prisluhniti Bileámu, temveč ti je Gospod, tvoj Bog, prekletstvo obrnil na blagoslov, ker te je Gospod, tvoj Bog, ljubil.
But Jehovah thy God would not listen to Balaam; and Jehovah thy God turned the curse into blessing unto thee, because Jehovah thy God loved thee.
6 Vse svoje dni na veke ne boš iskal njihovega miru niti njihovega uspevanja.
Thou shalt not seek their peace nor their prosperity all thy days for ever.
7 Ne boš preziral Edómca, kajti on je tvoj brat. Ne boš preziral Egipčana, kajti tujec si bil v njegovi deželi.
Thou shalt not abhor an Edomite; for he is thy brother. Thou shalt not abhor an Egyptian; because thou wast a sojourner in his land.
8 Otroci, ki so rojeni od njih, bodo v Gospodovo skupnost vstopili v svojem tretjem rodu.
Children that are born to them shall come into the congregation of Jehovah in the third generation.
9 Ko gre vojska naprej, zoper tvoje sovražnike, potem se varuj pred vsako zlobno stvarjo.
When thou goest forth into camp against thine enemies, then keep thee from every evil thing.
10 Če je med vami kakršenkoli moški, ki ni čist zaradi razloga nečistosti, ki se mu pripeti ponoči, potem se bo ločil ven iz tabora, ne bo prišel znotraj tabora.
If there be with thee a man that is not clean from what hath happened in the night, then shall he go outside the camp; he shall not come inside the camp;
11 Temveč bo tako, ko prihaja večer, da se bo umil z vodo, in ko sonce zaide, bo ponovno prišel v tabor.
and it shall be, towards evening, he shall bathe in water: and at the going down of the sun he may come inside the camp.
12 Imel boš tudi kraj zunaj tabora, kamor boš šel, da se oddvojiš.
Thou shalt have a place also outside the camp, and shalt go forth thither.
13 Na svojem orožju boš imel lopatico in zgodilo se bo, ko se boš zunaj olajšal, boš s tem kopal in se obrnil nazaj in pokril to, kar pride od tebe,
And thou shalt have a shovel amongst thy weapons, and it shall be, when thou sittest down abroad, thou shalt dig therewith, and shalt turn back and cover that which is come from thee.
14 kajti Gospod, tvoj Bog, hodi v sredi tvojega tabora, da te reši in da pred teboj izroči tvoje sovražnike. Zato bo tvoj tabor svet, da on v tebi ne vidi nobene nečiste stvari in se ne odvrne od tebe.
For Jehovah thy God walketh in the midst of thy camp, to deliver thee, and to give up thine enemies before thee; and thy camp shall be holy, that he see nothing unseemly with thee, and turn away from thee.
15 Služabnika, ki je pred svojim gospodarjem pobegnil k tebi, ne boš izročil njegovemu gospodarju.
Thou shalt not hand over to his master a bondman that hath escaped from his master unto thee:
16 Prebival bo s teboj, torej med vami, na tistem kraju, ki ga bo izbral, v enih izmed tvojih velikih vrat, kjer mu je najbolj všeč. Ne boš ga zatiral.
he shall dwell with thee, even in thy midst, in the place that he shall choose in one of thy gates, where it seemeth good to him; thou shalt not oppress him.
17 Tam ne bo nobene vlačuge izmed Izraelovih hčera niti posvečenega vlačugarja med Izraelovimi sinovi.
There shall be no prostitute amongst the daughters of Israel, nor any Sodomite amongst the sons of Israel.
18 Ne boš prinesel najemnine vlačuge ali pasjega plačila v hišo Gospoda, svojega Boga, za kakršnokoli prisego, kajti celo oboje je ogabnost Gospodu, tvojemu Bogu.
Thou shalt not bring the hire of a harlot, or the price of a dog, into the house of Jehovah thy God for any vow; for even both these are an abomination to Jehovah thy God.
19 Svojemu bratu ne boš posojal za obresti; obresti od denarja, obresti od živeža, obresti od katerekoli stvari, ki je posojena za obresti.
Thou shalt take no interest of thy brother, interest of money, interest of victuals, interest of anything that can be lent upon interest:
20 Tujcu lahko posodiš za obresti, toda svojemu bratu ne boš posojal za obresti, da te Gospod, tvoj Bog, lahko blagoslovi v vsem, česar se loti tvoja roka v deželi, kamor greš, da jo vzameš v last.
of a foreigner thou mayest take interest, but of thy brother thou shalt not take interest; that Jehovah thy God may bless thee in all the business of thy hand in the land whither thou goest to possess it.
21 Ko boš zaobljubil zaobljubo Gospodu, svojemu Bogu, se ne boš obiral, da to plačaš, kajti Gospod, tvoj Bog, bo to zagotovo zahteval od tebe in to bi bil greh v tebi.
When thou vowest a vow to Jehovah thy God, thou shalt not delay to perform it; for Jehovah thy God will certainly require it of thee, and it shall be sin in thee.
22 Toda če opustiš, da se zaobljubiš, potem v tebi ne bo greha.
But if thou forbear to vow, it shall be no sin in thee.
23 To, kar je odšlo iz tvojih ustnic, boš ohranjal in izvêdel, celó prostovoljno daritev, glede na to, kot si zaobljubil Gospodu, svojemu Bogu, kar si zaobljubil s svojimi usti.
What is gone out of thy lips thou shalt keep and do, as thou hast vowed to Jehovah thy God, the voluntary-offering that thou hast promised with thy mouth.
24 Ko prideš v vinograd svojega bližnjega, potem lahko na svojo lastno željo do sitega ješ grozdje, toda nobenega ne boš položil v svojo posodo.
When thou comest into thy neighbour's vineyard, thou mayest eat grapes thy fill, according to thy desire, but thou shalt not put any in thy vessel.
25 Ko prideš v stoječe žito svojega bližnjega, potem lahko s svojo roko trgaš klasje, toda s srpom ne boš zamahnil v stoječe žito svojega bližnjega.
When thou comest into the standing corn of thy neighbour, thou mayest pluck ears with thy hand; but thou shalt not wave the sickle against thy neighbour's standing corn.
