2 Kroniška 16
1 V šestintridesetem letu Asájevega kraljevanja je zoper Juda prišel Izraelov kralj Bašá in gradil Ramo z namenom, da nikomer ne bi dovolil iti ven ali priti noter k Judovemu kralju Asáju.
In year thirty and six of [the] reign of Asa he came up Baasha [the] king of Israel on Judah and he built Ramah to not [surely] permitting one going out or one coming in to Asa [the] king of Judah.
2 Potem je Asá prinesel ven srebro in zlato iz zakladnic Gospodove hiše in kraljeve hiše ter poslal k sirskemu kralju Ben Hadádu, ki je prebival v Damasku, rekoč:
And he brought out Asa silver and gold from [the] treasuries of [the] house of Yahweh and [the] house of the king and he sent [it] to Ben Hadad [the] king of Aram who dwelt in Damascus saying.
3 »Zaveza je med menoj in teboj, kakor je bila med mojim očetom in tvojim očetom. Glej, poslal sem ti srebro in zlato; pojdi in prelomi svojo zavezo z Izraelovim kraljem Bašájem, da lahko odide od mene.«
A covenant [be] between me and between you and between father my and between father your here! I have sent to you silver and gold go break covenant your with Baasha [the] king of Israel so he may go up from on me.
4 Ben Hadád je prisluhnil kralju Asáju in poslal poveljnike svoje vojske zoper Izraelova mesta in udarili so Ijón, Dan, Abél Majim in vsa Neftálijeva skladiščna mesta.
And he listened Ben Hadad to the king Asa and he sent [the] commanders of the armies which [belonged] to him against [the] cities of Israel and they struck down Ijon and Dan and Abel Maim and all [the] stores of [the] cities of Naphtali.
5 Pripetilo se je, ko je Bašá to slišal, da je prenehal graditi Ramo in opustil svoje delo.
And it was when heard Baasha and he ceased from building Ramah and he caused to cease work his.
6 Potem je kralj Asá vzel vsega Juda in odnesli so proč kamenje iz Rame in njen les, s katerim je Bašá gradil; s tem je gradil Gebo in Micpo.
And Asa the king he took all Judah and they carried off [the] stones of Ramah and wood its which he had built Baasha and he built with them Geba and Mizpah.
7 Ob tistem času je k Judovemu kralju Asáju prišel videc Hananí in mu rekel: »Ker si se zanašal na sirskega kralja in se nisi zanesel na Gospoda, svojega Boga, zato je vojska sirskega kralja pobegnila iz tvoje roke.
And at the time that he came Hanani the seer to Asa [the] king of Judah and he said to him because depending you on [the] king of Aram and not you depended on Yahweh God your there-fore it has escaped [the] army of [the] king of Aram from hand your.
8 Mar niso bili Etiopijci in Libijci ogromna vojska z mnogimi bojnimi vozovi in konjeniki? Vendar ker si se zanesel na Gospoda, jih je izročil v tvojo roko.

9 Kajti Gospodove oči tekajo sem ter tja po vsej celotni zemlji, da se izkaže močnega v korist tistih, katerih srce je popolno do njega. V tem si storil nespametno, zato boš od sedaj naprej imel vojne.
For Yahweh eyes his [are] roving about in all the earth to show himself strong with [those who] heart their [is] complete to him you have acted foolishly on this for from now there with you [will be] wars.
10 Potem je bil Asá ogorčen nad vidcem in ga vrgel v jetnišnico, kajti zaradi te stvari je bil ogorčen nanj. In Asá je isti čas zatiral nekatere izmed ljudstva.
And he was angry Asa against the seer and he put him [the] house of the stock[s] for in a rage with him on this and he crushed Asa some of the people at the time that.
11 Glej, dejanja Asája, prva in zadnja, glej, ta so zapisana v knjigi Judovih in Izraelovih kraljev.
And there! [the] matters of Asa former and latter there they [are] written on [the] scroll of the kings of Judah and Israel.
12 Asá je bil v devetintridesetem letu svojega kraljevanja bolan na svojih stopalih, dokler ni bila njegova bolezen silno velika, vendar se v svoji bolezni ni obrnil h Gospodu, temveč k zdravnikom.
And he became sick Asa in year thirty and nine of reign his in feet his [was] to upwards sickness his and also in sickness his not he sought Yahweh for the physicians.
13 Asá je zaspal s svojimi očeti in umrl v enainštiridesetem letu svojega kraljevanja.
And he lay down Asa with ancestors his and he died in year forty and one of reigning his.
14 Pokopali so ga v njegovih lastnih mavzolejih, ki si jih je naredil zase v Davidovem mestu in ga položili v posteljo, ki je bila napolnjena s prijetnimi dišavami in različnimi vrstami dišav, pripravljenih po lekarnarski umetnosti. Zanj so naredili zelo velik sežig [dišav].
And people buried him in own grave his which he had dug for himself in [the] city of David and they made lie him in the lying place which he had filled spices and kinds mixed as ointment of work and they burned for him a burning great up to muchness.
