1 Samuel 3
1 Otrok Samuel pa je pred Élijem služil Gospodu. V tistih dneh je bila Gospodova beseda dragocena; ni bilo odprtega videnja.

2 Pripetilo se je ob tistem času, ko se je Éli ulegel na svojem mestu in so njegove oči začenjale temneti, da ni mogel videti.
Therfor it was doon in a dai, Heli lay in his bed, and hise iyen dasewiden, and he myyte not se the lanterne of God, bifor that it was quenchid.
3 Preden se je ugasnila Božja svetilka v Gospodovem templju, kjer je bila Božja skrinja in se je Samuel ulegel k spanju,
Forsothe Samuel slepte in the temple of the Lord, where the ark of God was.
4 je Gospod poklical Samuela in ta je odgovoril: »Tukaj sem.«
And the Lord clepide Samuel; and he answeride and seide, Lo!
5 Stekel je k Éliju in rekel: »Tukaj sem, kajti klical si me.« Ta pa je rekel: »Nisem klical, ponovno se ulezi.« In odšel je in se ulegel.
Y. And he ran to Hely, and seide to hym, Lo! Y; for thou clepidist me. Which Hely seide, Y clepide not thee; turne thou ayen and slepe.
6 Gospod je ponovno poklical: »Samuel.« Samuel je vstal in odšel k Éliju ter rekel: »Tukaj sem, kajti klical si me.« Ta je odgovoril: »Nisem klical, moj sin, ponovno se ulezi.«
And he yede and slepte. And the Lord addide eft to clepe Samuel; and Samuel roos, and yede to Hely, and seide, Lo! Y; for thou clepidist me. And Heli answeride, Y clepide not thee, my sone; turne thou ayen and slepe.
7 Torej Samuel še ni poznal Gospoda niti mu Gospodova beseda še ni bila razodeta.
Forsothe Samuel knew not yit the Lord, nether the `word of the Lord was shewid to hym.
8 Gospod je ponovno, tretjič, poklical Samuela. Ta je vstal, šel k Éliju in rekel: »Tukaj sem, kajti klical si me.« In Éli je zaznal, da je otroka klical Gospod.
And the Lord addide, and clepide yit Samuel the thridde tyme; `which Samuel roos and yede to Heli,
9 Zato je Éli rekel Samuelu: »Pojdi, ulezi se in zgodilo se bo, če te pokliče, da boš rekel: ›Govori, Gospod, kajti tvoj služabnik posluša.‹« Tako je Samuel odšel in se ulegel na svojem mestu.
and seide, Lo! Y; for thou clepidist me. Therfor Heli vndirstood, that the Lord clepide the child; and Heli seide to Samuel, Go and slepe; and if he clepith thee aftirward, thou schalt seie, Speke thou, Lord, for thi seruaunt herith. Therfor Samuel yede and slepte in his place.
10 Gospod je prišel in obstal ter poklical kakor ob drugih časih: »Samuel, Samuel.« Potem je Samuel odgovoril: »Govori; kajti tvoj služabnik posluša.«
And the Lord cam, and stood, and clepide as he hadde clepid the secunde tyme, Samuel, Samuel. And Samuel seide, Speke thou, Lord, for thi seruaunt herith.
11 Gospod je rekel Samuelu: »Glej, storil bom stvar v Izraelu, ob kateri bo v obeh ušesih vsakega, ki to sliši, zvenelo.
And the Lord seide to Samuel, Lo! Y make a word in Israel, which word who euer schal here, bothe hise eeris schulen rynge.
12 Na tisti dan bom zoper Élija izpolnil vse stvari, ki sem jih govoril glede njegove hiše. Ko pričnem, bom naredil tudi konec.
In that dai Y schal reise ayens Heli alle thingis, whiche Y spak on his hows; Y schal bigynne, and Y schal ende.
13 Kajti povedal sem mu, da bom na veke sodil njegovo hišo zaradi krivičnosti, ki jo on vé, ker sta se njegova sinova naredila nizkotna, on pa jima ni preprečil.
For Y biforseide to hym, that Y schulde deme his hows with outen ende for wickidnesse; for he knew, that hise sones diden vnworthili, and he chastiside not hem.
14 Zato sem prisegel Élijevi hiši, da krivičnost Élijeve hiše na veke ne bo očiščena niti s klavno daritvijo niti z darovanjem.«
Therfor Y swoor to the hows of Heli, that the wickidnesse of his hows schal not be clensid bi sacrifices and yiftis til in to with outen ende.
15 Samuel je ležal do jutra in odprl vrata Gospodove hiše. Samuel pa se je Éliju bal razodeti videnje.
Forsothe Samuel slepte til the morewtid, and he openyde the doris of the hows of the Lord; and Samuel dredde to schewe the reuelacioun to Heli.
16 Potem je Éli poklical Samuela in rekel: »Samuel, moj sin.« Ta je odgovoril: »Tukaj sem.«
Therfor Heli clepide Samuel, and seide, Samuel, my sone. And he answeride and seide, Y am redi.
17 Rekel je: »Kaj je stvar, ki ti jo je Gospod povedal? Prosim te, da mi je ne prikriješ. Bog naj ti tako stori in tudi več, če pred menoj skriješ katerokoli stvar od vseh stvari, ki ti jih je povedal.«
And Heli axide hym, What is the word which the Lord spak to thee? Y preye thee, hide thou not fro me; God do to thee `these thingis, and encreesse these thingis, if thou hidist fro me a word of alle wordis that ben seid to thee.
18 Samuel mu je povedal vsak delček in ničesar ni skril pred njim. On pa je rekel: »To je Gospod. Naj stori, kar se mu zdi dobro.«
And Samuel schewide to hym alle the wordis, and `hidde not fro hym. And Heli answeride, He is the Lord; do he that, that is good in hise iyen.
19 Samuel je rasel in Gospod je bil z njim in nobene izmed njegovih besed ni pustil pasti na tla.
Forsothe Samuel encreeside, and the Lord was with hym, and noon of alle hise wordis felde in to erthe.
20 Ves Izrael, od Dana, celo do Beeršébe, je vedel, da je bil Samuel utrjen, da bi bil Gospodov prerok.
And al Israel fro Dan to Bersabee knew, that feithful Samuel was a profete of the Lord.
21 Gospod se je ponovno prikazoval v Šilu, kajti Gospod se je v Šilu razodeval Samuelu po Gospodovi besedi.
And the Lord addide `that he schulde appere in Silo, for the Lord was schewid to Samuel in Silo bi the `word of the Lord; and the word of Samuel cam to al Israel.
