1 Lévijevi sinovi: Geršón, Kehát in Merarí.

The sons of Levi, Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.

2 Kehátovi sinovi: Amrám, Jichár, Hebrón in Uziél.

And, the sons of Kohath, Amram, Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel.

3 Amrámovi otroci: Aron, Mojzes in Mirjam. Tudi Aronovi sinovi: Nadáb, Abihú, Eleazar in Itamár.

And, the children of Amram, Aaron, and Moses, and Miriam, —and, the sons of Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

4 Eleazar je zaplodil Pinhása, Pinhás je zaplodil Abišúa

Eleazar, begat Phinehas, Phinehas, begat Abishua;

5 in Abišúa je zaplodil Bukíja in Bukí je zaplodil Uzíja

and, Abishua, begat Bukki, and, Bukki, begat Uzzi;

6 in Uzí je zaplodil Zerahjá in Zerahjá je zaplodil Merajóta,

and, Uzzi, begat Zerahiah, and, Zerahiah, begat Meraioth;

7 Merajót je zaplodil Amarjá in Amarjá je zaplodil Ahitúba

Meraioth, begat Amariah, and, Amariah, begat Ahitub;

8 in Ahitúb je zaplodil Cadóka in Cadók je zaplodil Ahimáaca

and, Ahitub, begat Zadok, and, Zadok, begat Ahimaaz;

9 in Ahimáac je zaplodil Azarjája in Azarjá je zaplodil Johanána

and, Ahimaaz, begat Azariah, and, Azariah, begat Johanan,

10 in Johanán je zaplodil Azarjá (on je ta, ki je opravljal duhovniško službo v templju, ki ga je Salomon zgradil v Jeruzalemu);

and, Johanan, begat Azariah, —he, it was who ministered as priest, in the house which Solomon built in Jerusalem;

14 in Azarjá je zaplodil Serajája in Serajá je zaplodil Jocadáka

and, Azariah, begat Seraiah, and, Seraiah, begat Jehozadak;

15 in Jocadák je odšel v ujetništvo, ko je Gospod po Nebukadnezarjevi roki odvedel Juda in Jeruzalem.

and, Jehozadak, departed, when Yahweh carried away Judah and Jerusalem into captivity, —by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar.

The sons of Levi, Gershom, Kohath, and Merari.

17 To sta imeni Geršómovih sinov: Libni in Šimí.

And, these, are the names of the sons of Gershom, Libni and Shimei.

18 Kehátovi sinovi so bili: Amrám, Jichár, Hebrón in Uziél.

And, the sons of Kohath, were Amram, and Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel.

19 Meraríjeva sinova: Mahlí in Muší. To so družine Lévijevcev glede na njihove družine.

The sons of Merari, Mahli and Mushi. And, these, are the families of Levi by their fathers:

20 Od Geršóma: njegov sin Libni, njegov sin Jahat, njegov sin Zimá,

To Gershom, pertained Libni his son, Jahath his son, Zimmah his son,

21 njegov sin Joáh, njegov sin Idó, njegov sin Zerah in njegov sin Jeatraj.

Joah his son, Iddo his son, Zerah his son, Jeatherai his son.

22 Kehátovi sinovi: njegov sin Aminadáb, njegov sin Korah, njegov sin Asír,

The sons of Kohath, Amminadab his son, Korah his son, Assir his son;

23 njegov sin Elkaná, njegov sin Abiasáf, njegov sin Asír,

Elkanah his son, and Ebiasaph his son, and Assir his son;

24 njegov sin Tahat, njegov sin Uriél, njegov sin Uzíjah in njegov sin Šaúl.

Tahath his son, Uriel his son, Uzziah his son, and Shaul his son.

25 Elkanájeva sinova: Amasáj in Ahimót.

And, the sons of Elkanah, Amasai, and Ahimoth.

26 Glede Elkaná, Elkanájevi sinovi: njegov sin Cuf, njegov sin Nahat,

As for Elkanah, the sons of Elkanah, Zophai his son, and Nahath his son;

27 njegov sin Eliáb, njegov sin Jerohám in njegov sin Elkaná.

Eliab his son, Jeroham his son, Elkanah his son.

28 Samuelova sinova: prvorojenec Vašni in Abíja.

And, the sons of Samuel, the firstborn, [Joel], and, the second, Abiah.

29 Meraríjevi sinovi: Mahlí, njegov sin Libni, njegov sin Šimí, njegov sin Uzá,

the sons of Merari, Mahli, —Libni his son, Shimei his son, Uzzah his son;

30 njegov sin Šimá, njegov sin Hagijá in njegov sin Asajá.

Shimea his son, Haggiah his son, Asaiah his son.

son of Elkanah, son of Jeroham, son of Eliel, son of Toah, —

35 sinú Cufa, sinú Elkanája, sinú Mahata, sinú Amasája,

son of Zuph, son of Elkanah, son of Mahath, son of Amasai: —

36 sinú Elkaná, sinú Joéla, sinú Azarjá, sinú Cefanjája,

son of Elkanah, son of Joel, son of Azariah, son of Zephaniah, —

37 sinú Tahata, sinú Asírja, sinú Abiasáfa, sinú Koraha,

son of Tahath, son of Assir, son of Ebiasaph, son of Korah; —

38 sinú Jichárja, sinú Keháta, sinú Izraelovega sina Lévija.

son of Izhar, son of Kohath, son of Levi, son of Israel.

And, his brother Asaph who stood on his right hand, Asaph son of Berechiah, son of Shimea, —

41 sinú Etníja, sinú Zeraha, sinú Adajá,

son of Ethni, son of Zerah, son of Adaiah; —

son of Ethan, son of Zimmah, son of Shimei, —

43 sinú Jahata, sinú Geršóma, Lévijevega sina.

son of Jahath, son of Gershom, son of Levi.

44 Njihovi bratje, Meraríjevi sinovi so stali na levi roki: Etán, sin Kišijá, sinú Abdíja, sinú Malúha,

And, the sons of Merari, their brethren, on the left hand, Ethan son of Kishi, son of Abdi, son of Malluch; —

45 sinú Hašabjája, sinú Amacjá, sinú Hilkijája,

son of Hashabiah, son of Amaziah, son of Hilkiah, —

46 sinú Amcíja, sinú Baníja, sinú Šemerja,

son of Amzi, son of Bani, son of Shemer; —

47 sinú Mahlíja, sinú Mušíja, sinú Meraríja, Lévijevega sina.

son of Mahli, son of Mushi, son of Merari, son of Levi.

48 Tudi njihovi bratje Lévijevci so bili določeni k vsem vrstam služb šotorskega svetišča Božje hiše.

Howbeit, their brethren, the Levites, were given, for all the work of the habitation, of the house of God.

49 Toda Aron in njegovi sinovi so darovali na oltarju žgalne daritve in na kadilnem oltarju in bili so določeni za vse delo najsvetejšega prostora in da opravljajo spravo za Izrael, glede na vse, kar je zapovedal Božji služabnik Mojzes.

But, Aaron and his sons, were to make perfume upon the altar of ascending-sacrifice, and upon the altar of incense, according to all the service of the holy of holies, —even for putting a propitiatory-covering over Israel, according go all that, Moses, the servant of God, commanded.

And, these, are their dwelling-places, according to their encampments, in their boundary, —pertaining to the sons of Aaron, of the families of the Kohathites, for, theirs, was the lot:

57 Aronovim sinovom so dali Judova mesta, namreč Hebrón, mesto zatočišča, Libno s svojimi predmestji, Jatír, Eštemóa s svojimi predmestji,

And, to the sons of Aaron, gave they, the cities of refuge—Hebron, and Libnah, with her pasture lands, —and Jattir and Eshtemoa, with her pasture lands;

58 Hilón s svojimi predmestji, Debír s svojimi predmestji,

and Hilen with her pasture lands, Debir, with her pasture lands;

59 Ašán s svojimi predmestji in Bet Šemeš s svojimi predmestji.

and Ashan, with her pasture lands, and Bethshemesh, with her pasture lands;

60 Od Benjaminovega rodu: Geba s svojimi predmestji, Alémet s svojimi predmestji in Anatót s svojimi predmestji. Vseh njihovih mest po njihovih družinah je bilo trinajst mest.

and, out of the tribe of Benjamin, Geba, with her pasture lands, and Allemeth, with her pasture lands, —and Anathoth, with her pasture lands; —all their cities, were thirteen cities, throughout their families.

61 Kehátovim sinovom, ki so ostali od družine tega rodu, so bila z žrebom dana mesta polovice rodu, namreč od polovice Manásejevega rodu, deset mest.

And, unto the rest of the sons of Kohath—of the families of the tribe of Ephraim and of the tribe of Dan, and of the half-tribe of Manasseh, by lot ten cities.

62 Geršómovim sinovom po njihovih družinah od Isahárjevega rodu, od Aserjevega rodu, od Neftálijevega rodu in od Manásejevega rodu v Bašánu, trinajst mest.

And, to the sons of Gershom, by their families—out of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities.

63 Meraríjevim sinovim je bilo z žrebom dano, po vseh njihovih družinah, od Rubenovega rodu, od Gadovega rodu in od Zábulonovega rodu dvanajst mest.

And, unto sons of Merari, by their families—out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, by lot twelve cities.

64 Izraelovi otroci so dali Lévijevcem ta mesta z njihovimi predmestji.

So then the sons of Israel gave, to the Levites, —the cities and the pasture lands thereof;

65 Z žrebom so od rodu Judovih otrok, od rodu Simeonovih otrok in od rodu Benjaminovih otrok dali ta mesta, ki so imenovana po njihovih imenih.

yea they gave, by lot, out of the tribe of the sons of Judah, and out of the tribe of the sons of Simeon, and out of the tribe of the sons of Benjamin, these cities which are mentioned by name.

66 Preostanek družin Kehátovih sinov je dobil mesta svojih pokrajin od Efrájimovega rodu.

But, as for some of the families of the sons of Kohath, they had the cities of their lot, out of the tribe of Ephraim;

67 Od zavetnih mest so jim dali Sihem na gori Efrájim z njegovimi predmestji; dali so tudi Gezer s svojimi predmestji,

and they gave unto them the cities of refuge—Shechem and her pasture lands, in the hill country of Ephraim, —and Gezer, with her pasture lands;

68 Jokmeám s svojimi predmestji, Bet Horón s svojimi predmestji,

and Jokmeam, with her pasture lands, and Beth-heron, with her pasture lands;

69 Ajalón s svojimi predmestji in Gat Rimón s svojimi predmestji;

and Aijalon, with her pasture lands, and Gath-rimmon, with her pasture lands;

70 od polovice Manásejevega rodu: Anêr s svojimi predmestji, Bileam s svojimi predmestji za družino preostanka Kehátovih sinov.

and, out of the half-tribe of Manasseh, Aner, with her pasture lands, and Bileam, with her pasture lands, —for the rest of the family of the sons of Kohath.

71 Geršómovim sinovom je bilo dano od družine polovice Manásejevega rodu Golán v Bašánu s svojimi predmestji in Aštarót s svojimi predmestji;

Unto the sons of Gershom—out of the family of the half tribe of Manasseh, Golan in Bashan, with her pasture lands, —and Ashtaroth, with her pasture lands.

72 od Isahárjevega rodu: Kedeš s svojimi predmestji, Daberát s svojimi predmestji,

And, out of the tribe of Issachar, Kedesh, with her pasture lands, —Daberath, with her pasture lands;

73 Ramót s svojimi predmestji in Anem s svojimi predmestji;

and Ramoth, with her pasture lands, and Anem, with her pasture lands.

74 od Aserjevega rodu: Mišál s svojimi predmestji, Abdón s svojimi predmestji,

And, out of the tribe of Asher, Mashal, with her pasture lands, —and Abdon, with her pasture lands;

75 Hukok s svojimi predmestji in Rehób s svojimi predmestji;

and Hukok, with her pasture lands, —and Rehob, with her pasture lands.

76 od Neftálijevega rodu: Kedeš v Galileji s svojimi predmestji, Hamón s svojimi predmestji in Kirjatájim s svojimi predmestji.

And, out of the tribe of Naphtali, Kedesh in Galilee, with her pasture lands, and Hammon, with her pasture lands, —and Kiryathaim, with her pasture lands.

77 Preostanku Meraríjevih otrok je bilo dano od Zábulonovega rodu: Rimón s svojimi predmestji in Tabor s svojimi predmestji;

Unto the rest of the sons of Merari—out of the tribe of Zebulun, Rimmono, with her pasture lands, —Tabor, with her pasture lands.

78 in na drugi strani Jordana, pri Jerihi na vzhodni strani Jordana jim je bilo dano od Rubenovega rodu: Becer v divjini s svojimi predmestji, Jahac s svojimi predmestji,

And, beyond the Jordan at Jericho, on the east of the Jordan—out of the tribe of Reuben, Bezer in the wilderness, with her pasture lands, —and Jahzah, with her pasture lands;

79 tudi Kedemót s svojimi predmestji in Mefáat s svojimi predmestji;

and Kedemoth, with her pasture lands, and Mephaath, with her pasture lands.

80 od Gadovega rodu: Ramót v Gileádu s svojimi predmestji, Mahanájim s svojimi predmestji,

And, out of the tribe of Gad, Ramoth in Gilead, with her pasture lands, —and Mahanaim, with her pasture lands;

81 Hešbón s svojimi predmestji in Jazêr s svojimi predmestji.

and Heshbon, with her pasture lands, and Jazer, with her pasture lands.
