1 Torej to so bili Davidovi sinovi, ki so se mu rodili v Hebrónu: prvorojenec Amnón od Jezreélke Ahinóam; drugi Daniel od Karmelčanke Abigájile;
Now these were the sons of David, who were born to him in Hebron: the firstborn, Amnon, of Ahinoam of Jezreel; the second, Daluiah, of Abigail of Carmel;
2 tretji Absalom, sin Maáhe, hčere gešurskega kralja Talmája; četrti Adoníja, sin Hagíte;
the third, Absalom the son of Maacah the daughter of Talmai king of Geshur; the fourth, Adonijah the son of Haggith;
3 peti Šefatjá od Abitále; šesti Jitreám od njegove žene Egle.

4 Teh šest se mu je rodilo v Hebrónu in tam je kraljeval sedem let in šest mesecev. V Jeruzalemu pa je kraljeval triintrideset let.

5 Ti so se mu rodili v Jeruzalemu: Šimá, Šobáb, Natán in Salomon, štirje od Batšúe, Amiélove hčere;

7 Nogah, Nefeg, Jafíja,

8 Elišamá, Eljadá in Elifélet, devet.

9 To so bili vsi Davidovi sinovi, poleg sinov priležnic in njihove sestre Tamare.
All these were the sons of David, besides the sons of the secondary wives; and Tamar was their sister.

Solomon's son was Rehoboam, Abijah his son, Asa his son, Jehoshaphat his son,
11 njegov sin Jorám, njegov sin Ahazjá, njegov sin Joáš,

12 njegov sin Amacjá, njegov sin Azarjá, njegov sin Jotám,
Amaziah his son, Azariah his son, Jotham his son,
13 njegov sin Aház, njegov sin Ezekíja, njegov sin Manáse,
Ahaz his son, Hezekiah his son, Manasseh his son,
14 njegov sin Amón in njegov sin Jošíja.
Amon his son, Josiah his son.
15 Jošíjevi sinovi so bili: prvorojenec Johanán, drugi Jojakím, tretji Sedekíja in četrti Šalúm.
The sons of Josiah: the firstborn Johanan, the second Jehoiakim, the third Zedekiah, the fourth Shallum.
16 Jojakímova sinova: njegov sin Jehoníja in njegov sin Sedekíja.
The sons of Jehoiakim: Jeconiah his son, Zedekiah his son.

20 Hašubá, Ohel, Berehjá, Hasadjá in Jušáb Hesed, pet.
and Hashubah, and Ohel, and Berechiah, and Hasadiah, and Jushab Hesed, five.
21 Hananjájeva sinova: Pelatjája in Ješajá. Refajájevi sinovi, Arnánovi sinovi, Obadjájevi sinovi, Šehanjájevi sinovi.
The sons of Hananiah: Pelatiah, and Jeshaiah; his son Rephaiah, his son Arnan, his son Obadiah, his son Shecaniah.
22 Šehanjájevi sinovi: Šemajá; in Šemajájevi sinovi: Hatúš, Jigál, Baríah, Nearjá in Šafát, šest.
The son of Shecaniah: Shemaiah. The sons of Shemaiah: Hattush, and Igal, and Bariah, and Neariah, and Shaphat, six.
23 Nearjájevi sinovi: Eljoenáj, Ezekíja in Azrikám, trije.
The sons of Neariah: Elioenai, and Hizkiah, and Azrikam, three.
24 Eljoenájevi sinovi so bili: Hodavjá, Eljašíb, Pelajá, Akúb, Johanán, Delajá in Ananí, sedem.
The sons of Elioenai: Hodaviah, and Eliashib, and Pelaiah, and Akkub, and Johanan, and Delaiah, and Anani, seven.
