1 Torej to so oddelki Aronovih sinov. Aronovi sinovi: Nadáb, Abihú, Eleazar in Itamár.
These were the divisions of the sons of Aaron. The sons of Aaron: Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
2 Toda Nadáb in Abihú sta umrla pred njunim očetom in nista imela otrok, zato sta duhovniško službo opravljala Eleazar in Itamár.
But Nadab and Abihu died before their father, and had no children; therefore Eleazar and Ithamar served as priests.
3 David jih je razdelil, tako Cadóka izmed Eleazarjevih sinov kot Ahiméleha izmed Itamárjevih sinov, glede na njihovo opravilo v njihovi službi.
David, with Zadok of the sons of Eleazar and Ahimelech of the sons of Ithamar, divided them according to their ordering in their service.
4 Med Eleazarjevimi sinovi pa se je našlo več vodilnih mož kakor med Itamárjevimi sinovi; in tako so bili razdeljeni. Med Eleazarjevimi sinovi je bilo šestnajst vodilnih mož iz hiše njihovih očetov in osem med Itamárjevimi sinovi, glede na hišo njihovih očetov.
There were more chief men found of the sons of Eleazar than of the sons of Ithamar; and they were divided like this: of the sons of Eleazar there were sixteen, heads of fathers’ houses; and of the sons of Ithamar, according to their fathers’ houses, eight.
5 Tako so bili razdeljeni z žrebom, ena vrsta z drugo; za upravitelje svetišča in upravitelje Božje hiše so bili izmed Eleazarjevih sinov in izmed Itamárjevih sinov.
Thus they were divided impartially by drawing lots; for there were princes of the sanctuary and princes of God, both of the sons of Eleazar, and of the sons of Ithamar.

Shemaiah the son of Nethanel the scribe, who was of the Levites, wrote them in the presence of the king, the princes, Zadok the priest, Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, and the heads of the fathers’ households of the priests and of the Levites; one fathers’ house being taken for Eleazar, and one taken for Ithamar.

the fifth to Malchijah, the sixth to Mijamin,
10 sedmi za Koca, osmi za Abíja,
the seventh to Hakkoz, the eighth to Abijah,
11 deveti za Ješúa, deseti za Šehanjája,
the ninth to Jeshua, the tenth to Shecaniah,
12 enajsti za Eljašíba, dvanajsti za Jakíma,
the eleventh to Eliashib, the twelfth to Jakim,
13 trinajsti za Hupája, štirinajsti za Ješebába,
the thirteenth to Huppah, the fourteenth to Jeshebeab,
14 petnajsti za Bilgája, šestnajsti za Imêrja,
the fifteenth to Bilgah, the sixteenth to Immer,
15 sedemnajsti za Hezírja, osemnajsti za Hapicéca,
the seventeenth to Hezir, the eighteenth to Happizzez,
16 devetnajsti za Petahjája, dvajseti za Jehezkéla,
the nineteenth to Pethahiah, the twentieth to Jehezkel,
17 enaindvajseti za Jahína, dvaindvajseti za Gamúla,
the twenty-first to Jachin, the twenty-second to Gamul,
18 triindvajseti za Delajája, štiriindvajseti za Maazjája.
the twenty-third to Delaiah, and the twenty-fourth to Maaziah.
19 To so bili njihovi vrstni redi v njihovi službi, da pridejo v Gospodovo hišo, glede na njihov način, pod njihovim očetom Aronom, kakor mu je zapovedal Gospod, Izraelov Bog.
This was their ordering in their service, to come into Yahweh’s house according to the ordinance given to them by Aaron their father, as Yahweh, the God of Israel, had commanded him.
20 Preostali izmed Lévijevih sinov so bili tile: izmed Amrámovih sinov Šubaél, izmed Šubaélovih sinov Jehdejá.
Of the rest of the sons of Levi: of the sons of Amram, Shubael; of the sons of Shubael, Jehdeiah.
21 Glede Rehabjá, izmed sinov Rehabjá je bil prvi Jišijá.
Of Rehabiah: of the sons of Rehabiah, Isshiah the chief.
22 Izmed Jichárovcev Šelomot, izmed Šelomotovih sinov Jahat.
Of the Izharites, Shelomoth; of the sons of Shelomoth, Jahath.
23 Hebrónovi sinovi: prvi Jerijá, drugi Amarjá, tretji Jahaziél in četrti Jekamám.
The sons of Hebron: Jeriah, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, and Jekameam the fourth.
24 Izmed Uziélovih sinov Miha, izmed Mihovih sinov Šamír.
The sons of Uzziel: Micah; of the sons of Micah, Shamir.
25 Mihov brat je bil Jišijá, izmed Jišijájevih sinov Zeharjá.
The brother of Micah: Isshiah; of the sons of Isshiah, Zechariah.
26 Meraríjevi sinovi so bili Mahlí in Muší. Jaazijájevi sinovi: Beno.
The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. The son of Jaaziah: Beno.
27 Merarijevi sinovi po Jaazijáju: Beno, Šohám, Zahúr in Ibri.
The sons of Merari by Jaaziah: Beno, Shoham, Zaccur, and Ibri.
28 Iz Mahlíja je prišel Eleazar, ki ni imel sinov.
Of Mahli: Eleazar, who had no sons.
29 Glede Kiša: Kišev sin je bil Jerahmeél.
Of Kish, the son of Kish: Jerahmeel.
30 Tudi Mušíjevi sinovi: Mahlí, Eder in Jerimót. To so bili sinovi Lévijevcev po hiši njihovih očetov.
The sons of Mushi: Mahli, Eder, and Jerimoth. These were the sons of the Levites after their fathers’ houses.
31 Tudi ti so metali žrebe nasproti svojih bratov, Aronovih sinov, v prisotnosti kralja Davida, Cadóka, Ahiméleha in vodje očetov duhovnikov in Lévijevcev, celo glavnim očetom nasproti njihovim mlajšim bratom.
These likewise cast lots even as their brothers the sons of Aaron in the presence of David the king, Zadok, Ahimelech, and the heads of the fathers’ households of the priests and of the Levites, the fathers’ households of the chief even as those of his younger brother.
