1 To so Izraelovi sinovi: Ruben, Simeon, Levi, Juda, Isahár, Zábulon,
These [are] sons of Israel: Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun,
2 Dan, Jožef, Benjamin, Neftáli, Gad in Aser.
Dan, Joseph, and Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.
3 Judovi sinovi: Er, Onán in Šelá; ki so mu bili trije rojeni od kánaanske hčere Šue. Judov prvorojenec Er pa je bil zloben v Gospodovih očeh; in ga je usmrtil.
Sons of Judah: Er, and Onan, and Shelah, three have been born to him of a daughter of Shua the Canaanitess. And Er, firstborn of Judah, is evil in the eyes of YHWH, and He puts him to death.
4 Njegova snaha Tamara mu je rodila Pareca in Zeraha. Vseh Judovih sinov je bilo pet.
And his daughter-in-law Tamar has borne Perez and Zerah to him. All the sons of Judah [are] five.
5 Parecova sinova: Hecrón in Hamúl.
Sons of Perez: Hezron, and Hamul.

And sons of Zerah: Zimri, and Ethan, and Heman, and Calcol, and Dara; all of them five.

17 Abigájila je rodila Amasá; in Amasájev oče je bil Izmaelec Jeter.
And Abigail has borne Amasa, and the father of Amasa [is] Jether the Ishmaelite.
18 Hecrónov sin Kaléb je zaplodil otroke od Azúbe, svoje žene in od Jerióte. Njeni sinovi so tile: Ješer, Šobáb in Ardón.
And Caleb son of Hezron has begotten Azubah, Isshah, and Jerioth; and these [are] her sons: Jesher, and Shobab, and Ardon.
19 Ko je bila Azúba mrtva, je Kaléb k sebi vzel Efráto, ki mu je rodila Hura.
And Azubah dies, and Caleb takes Ephrath to himself, and she bears Hur to him.
20 Hur je zaplodil Uríja in Uríja je zaplodil Becaléla.
And Hur begot Uri, and Uri begot Bezaleel.

and he takes Geshur and Aram, the small villages of Jair, from them, with Kenath and its small towns, sixty cities—all these [belonged to] the sons of Machir father of Gilead.

And after the death of Hezron in Caleb-Ephratah, then the wife of Hezron, Abijah, even bears to him Asshur, father of Tekoa.
25 Sinovi Hecrónovega prvorojenca Jerahmeéla so bili: prvorojenec Ram, Buná, Oren, Ocem in Ahíja.
And sons of Jerahmeel, firstborn of Hezron, are: the firstborn Ram, and Bunah, and Oren, and Ozem, Ahijah.
26 Jerahmeél je imel še drugo ženo, ki ji je bilo ime Atára; bila je Onámova mati.
And Jerahmeel has another wife, and her name [is] Atarah, she [is] mother of Onam.
27 Sinovi Jerahmeélovega prvorojenca Rama so bili: Máac, Jamín in Eker.
And sons of Ram, firstborn of Jerahmeel, are Maaz, and Jamin, and Eker.
28 Onámova sinova sta bila: Šamáj in Jadá. In Šamájeva sinova: Nadáb in Abišúr.
And sons of Onam are Shammai and Jada. And sons of Shammai: Nadab and Abishur.
29 Ime Abišúrjeve žene je bilo Abihájila in rodila mu je Ahbána in Molída.
And the name of the wife of Abishur [is] Abihail, and she bears Ahban and Molid to him.
30 Nadábova sinova: Seled in Apájim, toda Seled je umrl brez otrok.
And sons of Nadab: Seled and Appaim; and Seled dies without sons.
31 Apájimovi sinovi: Jiší. Jišíjev sin: Šešán. Šešánovi otroci: Ahláj.
And sons of Appaim: Ishi. And sons of Ishi: Sheshan. And sons of Sheshan: Ahlai.
32 Sinova Šamájevega brata Jadája: Jeter in Jonatan: in Jeter je umrl brez otrok.
And sons of Jada, brother of Shammai: Jether and Jonathan; and Jether dies without sons.
33 Jonatanova sinova: Pelet in Zazá. To so bili Jerahmeélovi sinovi.
And sons of Jonathan: Peleth and Zaza. These were sons of Jerahmeel.
34 Torej Šešán ni imel sinov, temveč hčere. Šešán je imel služabnika, Egipčana, katerega ime je bilo Jarhá.
And Sheshan had no sons, but daughters, and Sheshan has a servant, an Egyptian, and his name [is] Jarha,

and Sheshan gives his daughter to his servant Jarha for a wife, and she bears Attai to him;

39 in Azarjá je zaplodil Heleca in Helec je zaplodil Elasája
and Jehu begot Azariah, and Azariah begot Helez, and Helez begot Eleasah,
40 in Elasáj je zaplodil Sismája in Sismáj je zaplodil Šalúma
and Eleasah begot Sismai, and Sismai begot Shallum,
41 in Šalúm je zaplodil Jekamjája in Jekamjáj je zaplodil Elišamája.
and Shallum begot Jekamiah, and Jekamiah begot Elishama.
42 Torej sinovi Jerahmeélovega brata Kaléba so bili njegov prvorojenec Meša, ki je bil oče Zifov; in sinovi Marešá, očeta Hebróna.
And sons of Caleb brother of Jerahmeel: Mesha his firstborn, he [is] father of Ziph; and sons of Mareshah: Abi-Hebron.
43 Hebrónovi sinovi: Korah, Tapúah, Rekem in Šemaá.
And sons of Hebron: Korah, and Tappuah, and Rekem, and Shema.
44 Šemaá je zaplodil Rahama, Jorkoámovega očeta in Rekem je zaplodil Šamája.
And Shema begot Raham father of Jorkoam, and Rekem begot Shammai.
45 Šamájev sin je bil Maón, in Maón je bil Bet Curov oče.
And a son of Shammai [is] Maon, and Maon [is] father of Beth-Zur.
46 Kalébova priležnica Efá je rodila Harána, Mocája in Gazéza; in Harán je zaplodil Gazéza.
And Ephah concubine of Caleb bore Haran, and Moza, and Gazez; and Haran begot Gazez.
47 Jahdájevi sinovi so: Regem, Jotám, Gešán, Pelet, Efá in Šáaf.
And sons of Jahdai: Regem, and Jotham, and Geshem, and Pelet, and Ephah, and Shaaph.
48 Kalébova priležnica Maáha je rodila Šeberja in Tirhanája.
The concubine of Caleb, Maachah, bore Sheber and Tirhanah;
49 Rodila je tudi Šáafa, očeta Madmanája, Ševája, očeta Mahbenája in očeta Gíbee: in Kalébova hči je bila Ahsa.
and she bears Shaaph father of Madmannah, Sheva father of Machbenah, and father of Gibea; and a daughter of Caleb [is] Achsa.
50 To so bili sinovi Hurovega sina Kaléba, Efrátinega prvorojenca: Šobál, oče Kirját Jearíma,
These were sons of Caleb son of Hur, firstborn of Ephrathah: Shobal father of Kirjath-Jearim,
51 Salmón, oče Betlehema, Haríf, oče Bet Gadêrja.
Salma father of Beth-Lehem, Hareph father of Beth-Gader.
52 Šobál, oče Kirját Jearíma, je imel sinove: Haroe in polovica Manáhatovcev.
And there are sons to Shobal father of Kirjath-Jearim: Haroeh, half of the Menuhothite;
53 Družine Kirját Jearíma: Jéterjevci, Putéjci, Šuméjci in Mišraíti; iz katerih so izšli Corčani in Eštaólci.
and the families of Kirjath-Jearim: the Ithrite, and the Puhite, and the Shumathite, and the Mishraite. The Zorathite and the Eshtaolite went out from these.
54 Salmónovi sinovi: Betlehem, Netófčani, Atrót, Joábova hiša in polovica Manáhatovcev in Zorovci.
Sons of Salma: Beth-Lehem, and the Netophathite, Atroth, Beth-Joab, and half of the Menuhothite, the Zorite;
55 Družine pisarjev, ki so prebivale pri Jabécu: Tiratéjci, Šimatéjci in Suhéjci. Ti so Kenéjci, ki so prišli iz Hamáta, očeta Rehábove hiše.
and the families of the scribes, the inhabitants of Jabez: Tirathites, Shimeathites, Suchathites. They [are] the Kenites, those coming of Hammath father of the house of Rechab.
