1 Kroniška 14
1 Torej kralj Hirám iz Tira je poslal poslance k Davidu in cedrov les z zidarji in tesarji, da mu zgradijo hišo.
And he sent (Huram *Q(K)*) [the] king of Tyre messengers to David and wood of cedar and craftsmen of a wall and craftsmen of wood to build for him a house.
2 David je zaznal, da ga je Gospod potrdil za kralja nad Izraelom, kajti njegovo kraljestvo je bilo visoko povzdignjeno zaradi njegovega ljudstva Izraela.
And he knew David that he had appointed him Yahweh to king over Israel that [was] exalted upwards kingdom his for sake of people his Israel.
3 David si je v Jeruzalemu vzel več žena in David je zaplodil več sinov in hčera.
And he took David again wives in Jerusalem and he fathered David again sons and daughters.
4 Torej to so imena njegovih otrok, ki jih je imel v Jeruzalemu: Šamúa, Šobáb, Natán, Salomon,
And these [are] [the] names of the [ones] born who they belonged to him in Jerusalem Shammua and Shobab Nathan and Solomon.
5 Jibhár, Elišúa, Elpélet,
And Ibhar and Elishua and Elpelet.
6 Nogah, Nefeg, Jafíja,
And Nogah and Nepheg and Japhia.
7 Elišamá, Beeljadá in Elifálet.
And Elishama and Beeliada and Eliphelet.
8 Ko so Filistejci slišali, da je bil David maziljen za kralja nad vsem Izraelom, so vsi Filistejci odšli gor, da poiščejo Davida. David pa je slišal o tem in odšel ven zoper njih.
And they heard [the] Philistines that he had been anointed David to king over all Israel and they went up all [the] Philistines to seek David and he heard David and he went out before them.
9 Filistejci so prišli in se razporedili po dolini Rafájim.
And [the] Philistines they had come and they had made a raid in [the] valley of [the] Rephaites.
10 David je poizvedel od Boga, rekoč: »Ali naj grem gor zoper Filistejce? Ali jih boš izročil v mojo roko?« Gospod mu je rekel: »Pojdi gor, kajti izročil jih bom v tvojo roko.«
And he enquired David by God saying ¿ will I go up on ([the] Philistines *Q(k)*) and will you give? them in hand my and he said to him Yahweh go up and I will give them in hand your.
11 Tako so prišli gor v Báal Peracím in David jih je tam udaril. Potem je David rekel: »Bog je po moji roki pridrl nad moje sovražnike, kakor izbruhnejo vode, « zato so ime tega kraja imenovali Báal Peracím.
And they went up at Baal Perazim and he struck down them there David and he said David he has burst out against God enemies my by hand my like a bursting out of water there-fore people called [the] name of the place that Baal Perazim.
12 Ko so tam pustili svoje bogove, je David dal zapoved in sežgali so jih v ognju.
And they abandoned there gods their and he spoke David and they were burned with fire.
13 Filistejci pa so se ponovno razporedili po dolini.
And they repeated again [the] Philistines and they made a raid in the valley.
14 Zato je David ponovno poizvedel od Boga in Bog mu je rekel: »Ne pojdi gor za njimi. Obrni se proč od njih in pridi nadnje nasproti murvinih dreves.
And he enquired again David by God and he said to him God not you will go up after them go around from on them and you will come to them from [the] front of the balsam trees.
15 Zgodilo se bo, ko boš zaslišal zvok hoje po vrhovih murvinih dreves, da boš tedaj odšel ven na bitko, kajti Bog je šel naprej pred teboj, da udari vojsko Filistejcev.«
So may it be when hearing you [the] sound of marching in [the] tops of the balsam trees then you will go out in battle for he has gone out God before you to strike down [the] camp of [the] Philistines.
16 David je torej storil, kakor mu je Bog zapovedal in udarili so vojsko Filistejcev od Gibeóna, celo do Gazerja.
And he did David just as he had commanded him God and they struck down [the] camp of [the] Philistines from Gibeon and to Gezer.
17 Davidova slava se je razširila po vseh deželah in Gospod je nad vse narode privedel strah pred njim.
And it went out [the] name of David in all the lands and Yahweh he put dread of him on all the nations.
