Псалтирь 97

1 Господь воцарися, да радуется земля, да веселятся острови мнози.

The Lord reigneth: let the earth be glad; let the multitude of isles rejoice.

2 Облак и мрак окрест Его: правда и судба исправление престола Его.

Clouds and thick darkness are round about him: righteousness and justice are the support of his throne.

3 Огнь пред Ним предидет и попалит окрест враги Его.

A fire goeth before him, and burneth up round about his adversaries.

4 Осветиша молния Его вселенную: виде и подвижеся земля.

His lightnings give light to the world: the earth seeth it, and trembleth.

5 Горы яко воск растаяша от лица Господня, от лица Господа всея земли.

The mountains melt away like wax at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the Lord of all the earth.

6 Возвестиша небеса правду Его, и видеша вси людие славу Его.

The heavens tell of his righteousness, and all the people his glory.

7 Да постыдятся вси кланяющиися истуканным, хвалящиися о идолех своих: поклонитеся Ему, вси ангели Его.

Made ashamed shall be all that serve graven images, that boast themselves of idols: unto him bow down all the gods.

8 Слыша и возвеселися Сион, и возрадовашася дщери Иудейския, судеб ради Твоих, Господи:

Zion heareth it, and rejoiceth; and glad are the daughters of Judah, because of thy decrees, O Lord.

9 яко Ты Господь вышний над всею землею, зело превознеслся еси над всеми боги.

For thou, O Lord, art the most high above all the earth: thou art greatly exalted above all gods.

10 Любящии Господа, ненавидите злая: хранит Господь душы преподобных Своих, из руки грешничи избавит я.

Ye that love the Lord, hate ye the evil: he preserveth the souls of his pious ones; out of the hand of the wicked he ever delivereth them.

11 Свет возсия праведнику, и правым сердцем веселие.

Light is sown for the righteous, and joy for the upright in heart.

12 Веселитеся, праведнии, о Господе, и исповедайте память святыни Его.

Rejoice, ye righteous, in the Lord, and give thanks to his holy memorial.
