Псалтирь 52

1 В конец, разума Давиду, внегда приити Доику Идумейску, и возвестити Саулу, и рещи ему: прииде Давид в дом Авимелехов. Что хвалишися во злобе, сильне? Беззаконие весь день.

For the Chief Musician. Maschil of David; when Doeg the Edomite came and told Saul, and said unto him, David is come to the house of Ahimelech. Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? The lovingkindness of God [endureth] continually.

2 Неправду умысли язык твой: яко бритву изощрену сотворил еси лесть.

Thy tongue deviseth very wickedness, Like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.

3 Возлюбил еси злобу паче благостыни, неправду неже глаголати правду:

Thou lovest evil more than good, And lying rather than to speak righteousness. (Selah)

4 возлюбил еси вся глаголы потопныя, язык льстив.

Thou lovest all devouring words, O thou deceitful tongue.

5 Сего ради Бог разрушит тя до конца: восторгнет тя, и преселит тя от селения твоего и корень твой от земли живых.

God will likewise destroy thee for ever; He will take thee up, and pluck thee out of thy tent, And root thee out of the land of the living. (Selah)

6 Узрят праведнии и убоятся, и о нем возсмеются и рекут:

The righteous also shall see [it], and fear, And shall laugh at him, [saying],

7 се, человек, иже не положи Бога помощника себе, но упова на множество богатства своего, и возможе суетою своею.

Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength, But trusted in the abundance of his riches, And strengthened himself in his wickedness.

8 Аз же яко маслина плодовита в дому Божии: уповах на милость Божию во век и в век века.

But as for me, I am like a green olive-tree in the house of God: I trust in the lovingkindness of God for ever and ever.

9 Исповемся Тебе в век, яко сотворил еси: и терплю имя Твое, яко благо пред преподобными Твоими.

I will give thee thanks for ever, because thou hast done it; And I will hope in thy name, for it is good, in the presence of thy saints.
