Псалтирь 114

1 Во исходе Израилеве от Египта, дому Иаковля из людий варвар,

When Israel came forth from Egypt, The house of Jacob from a people of strange language,

2 бысть Иудеа святыня Его, Израиль область Его.

Judah was his sanctuary, And Israel his dominion.

3 Море виде и побеже, Иордан возвратися вспять:

The sea beheld, and fled; The Jordan turned back.

4 горы взыграшася яко овни, и холми яко агнцы овчии.

The mountains skipped like rams, And the hills like lambs.

5 Что ти есть, море, яко побегло еси, и тебе, Иордане, яко возвратился еси вспять?

What aileth thee, O thou sea! that thou fleest? Thou, Jordan, that thou runnest back?

6 Горы, яко взыграстеся яко овни, и холми яко агнцы овчии?

Ye mountains, that ye skip like rams, And ye hills like lambs?

7 От лица Господня подвижеся земля, от лица Бога Иаковля:

Tremble, O earth! at the presence of the Lord, At the presence of the God of Jacob;

8 обращшаго камень во езера водная и несекомый во источники водныя.

Who turned the rock into a standing lake, And the flint into a fountain of water!
