Притчи Соломона 1
1 Притчи Соломона сына Давидова, иже царствова во Израили,
The proverbs of Solomon, son of David, King of Israel:
2 познати премудрость и наказание и уразумети словеса мудрости,
For the knowledge of wisdom and correction, for discerning the sayings of intelligence;
3 прияти же извития словес и разрешения гаданий, уразумети же правду истинную и суд исправляти:
For receiving the correction of prudence, righteousness and justice, and equity;
4 да даст незлобивым коварство, отрочати же юну чувство же и смысл.
For giving To the simple shrewdness, To the young man, knowledge and discretion.
5 Сих бо послушав, мудрый премудрее будет, а разумный строителство стяжет:
A wise man, will hear, and will increase learning, and a, discreet man, wise counsels, will acquire,
6 уразумеет же притчу и темное слово, речения же премудрых и гадания.
By gaining discernment of proverb, and satire, the words of the wise, and their dark sayings.
7 Начало премудрости страх Господень, разум же благ всем творящым его: благочестие же в Бога начало чувства, премудрость же и наказание нечестивии уничижат.
The reverence of Yahweh, is the beginning of knowledge, Wisdom and correction, the foolish have despised.
8 Слыши, сыне, наказание отца твоего и не отрини заветов матере твоея:
Hear, my son, the correction of thy father, and do not reject the instruction of thy mother;
9 венец бо благодатей приимеши на твоем версе и гривну злату о твоей выи.
For, a wreath of beauty, shall they be to thy head, and chains of ornament, to thy neck.
10 Сыне, да не прельстят тебе мужие нечестивии, ниже да восхощеши,
My son, if sinners entice thee, do not consent.
11 аще помолят тя, глаголюще: иди с нами, приобщися крове, скрыем же в землю мужа праведна неправедно:
If they say—Come with us, —Let us lie in wait for blood, Let us watch in secret for him who is needlessly innocent;
Let us engulf them, like hades, alive, While in health, like them who are going down to the pit; (Sheol h7585)
13 стяжание его многоценное приимем, исполним же домы нашя корыстей:
All costly substance, shall we find, We shall fill our houses with spoil;
14 жребий же твой положи с нами: обще же влагалище стяжем вси, и мешец един да будет всем нам.
Thy lot, shalt thou cast into our midst, One purse, shall there be, for us all.
15 Не иди в путь с ними: уклони же ногу твою от стезь их:
My son, do not walk in the way with them, Withhold thy foot from their path.
16 нозе бо их на зло текут, и скори суть излияти кровь.
For, their feet, to mischief, do run, and haste to the shedding of blood.
17 Не без правды бо простираются мрежи пернатым:
Surely, in vain, is spread the net, in the sight of aught that hath wings!
18 тии бо убийству приобщающеся, сокровищствуют себе злая: разрушение же мужей законопреступных зло.
Yet, they, for their own blood, lie in wait, They watch in secret for their own life.
19 Сии путие суть всех творящих беззаконная: нечестием бо свою душу отемлют.
Such are the ways of every one that graspeth with greed, The life of the owners thereof, it taketh away!
20 Премудрость во исходех поется, в стогнах же дерзновение водит,
Wisdom, in the open place, soundeth forth, in the broadways, she raiseth her voice;
21 на краех же стен проповедуется, у врат же сильных приседит, во вратех же града дерзающи глаголет:
At the head of bustling streets, she crieth aloud, —at the openings of the gates in the city—her sayings, she doth utter: —
22 елико убо время незлобивии держатся правды, не постыдятся: безумнии же досады суще желателие, нечестивии бывше, возненавидеша чувство
How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and, scoffers, in scoffing, delight them? and, dullards, hate knowledge?
23 и повинни быша обличением. Се, предложу вам моего дыхания речение, научу же вас моему словеси.
Will ye turn, at my reproof? Lo! I will pour out to you my spirit, I will make known my words to you.
24 Понеже звах, и не послушасте, и простирах словеса, и не внимасте,
Because I called, and ye refused, I stretched out my hand, and no one regarded;
25 но отметасте моя советы и моим обличением не внимасте:
But ye dismissed all my counsel, and, to my rebuke, would not yield,
26 убо и аз вашей погибели посмеюся, порадуюся же, егда приидет вам пагуба,
I also, at your calamity, will laugh, I will mock, when cometh your dread;
27 и егда приидет на вы внезапу мятеж, низвращение же подобно бури приидет, или егда приидет вам печаль и градоразорение, или егда найдет на вы пагуба.
When cometh as a crashing your dread, and, your calamity, as a storm-wind, overtaketh, when there come upon you, distress and anguish.
28 Будет бо егда призовете мя, аз же не послушаю вас: взыщут мене злии и не обрящут.
Then, will they call me, but I will not answer, they will seek me diligently, but shall not find me.
29 Возненавидеша бо премудрость, словесе же Господня не прияша:
Because they hated knowledge, and, the reverence of Yahweh, did not choose;
30 ниже хотеша внимати моим советом, ругахуся же моим обличением.
Consented not to my counsel, disdained all my rebuke,
31 Темже снедят своих путий плоды и своего нечестия насытятся:
Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and, with their own counsels, be filled.
32 ибо, зане обидеша младенцев, убиени будут, и истязание нечестивыя погубит.
For, the turning away of the simple, will slay them, —and, the carelessness of dullards, will destroy them.
33 Мене же слушаяй вселится на уповании и почиет без страха от всякаго зла.
Whereas, he that hearkeneth unto me, shall dwell safely, and be at rest, without dread of misfortune.
