Притчи Соломона 21
1 Якоже устремление воды, тако сердце царево в руце Божией: аможе аще восхощет обратити, тамо уклонит е.
The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it wherever he will.
2 Всяк муж является себе праведен: управляет же сердца Господь.
Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD weigheth the hearts.
3 Творити праведная и истинствовати угодна Богу паче, нежели жертв кровь.
To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.
4 Велемудрый во укоризне дерзосерд, светило же нечестивых греси.
An high look, and a proud heart, and the plowing of the wicked, is sin.
5 Помышления тщаливаго во изюбилии, и всяк нерадивый в лишении.
The thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenteousness; but of every one that is hasty only to want.
6 Делаяй сокровища языком лживым суетная гонит в сети смертныя.
The getting of treasures by a lying tongue is a vanity tossed to and fro by them that seek death.
7 Всегубителство на нечестивыя устремляется: не хотят бо творити праведная.
The robbery of the wicked shall destroy them; because they refuse to do judgment.
8 К стропотным стропотныя пути посылает Бог: чиста бо и права дела Его.
The way of man is perverse and strange: but as for the pure, his work is right.
9 Лучше жити во угле непокровеннем, нежели в повапленных с неправдою и в храмине общей.
It is better to dwell in a corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman in a wide house.
10 Душа нечестиваго не помилуется ни от единаго от человеков.
The soul of the wicked desireth evil: his neighbour findeth no favour in his eyes.
11 Тщету приемлющу невоздержному, коварнейший будет незлобивый, разумеваяй же мудрый приимет разум.
When the scorner is punished, the simple is made wise: and when the wise is instructed, he receiveth knowledge.
12 Разумевает праведный сердца нечестивых и уничтожает нечестивыя в злых.
The righteous man wisely considereth the house of the wicked: but God overthroweth the wicked for their wickedness.
13 Иже затыкает ушеса своя, еже не послушати немощнаго, и той призовет, и не будет послушаяй его.
Whoever stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard.
14 Даяние тайно отвращает гневы, щадяй же даров воздвизает ярость крепкую.
A gift in secret pacifieth anger: and a reward in the bosom strong wrath.
15 Веселие праведных творити суд: преподобный же нечист у злодеев.
It is joy to the just to do judgment: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.
16 Муж заблуждаяй от пути правды в сонмищи исполинов почиет.
The man that wandereth out of the way of understanding shall remain in the congregation of the dead.
17 Муж скуден любит веселие, любяй же вино и елей не обогатится.
He that loveth pleasure shall be a poor man: he that loveth wine and oil shall not be rich.
18 Отребие же праведнику беззаконник.
The wicked shall be a ransom for the righteous, and the transgressor for the upright.
19 Лучше жити в земли пусте, неже жити с женою сварливою и язычною и гневливою.
It is better to dwell in the wilderness, than with a contentious and an angry woman.
20 Сокровище вожделенно почиет во устех мудраго: безумнии же мужие пожирают е.
There is a treasure to be desired and oil in the dwelling of the wise; but a foolish man spendeth it up.
21 Путь правды и милостыни обрящет живот и славу.
He that followeth after righteousness and mercy findeth life, righteousness, and honour.
22 Во грады крепки вниде премудрый и разруши утверждение, на неже надеяшася нечестивии.
A wise man scaleth the city of the mighty, and casteth down the strength of its confidence.
23 Иже хранит своя уста и язык, соблюдает от печали душу свою.
Whoever keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.
24 Продерзый и величавый и горделивый губитель нарицается: а иже памятозлобствует, беззаконен.
Proud and haughty scorner is his name, who dealeth in proud wrath.
25 Похоти лениваго убивают: не произволяют бо руце его творити что.
The desire of the slothful killeth him; for his hands refuse to labour.
26 Нечестивый желает весь день похоти злыя, праведный же милует и щедрит нещадно.
He coveteth greedily all the day long: but the righteous giveth and spareth not.
27 Жертвы нечестивых мерзость Господеви: ибо беззаконно приносят я.
The sacrifice of the wicked is abomination: how much more, when he bringeth it with a wicked mind?
28 Свидетель ложный погибнет, муж же послушлив сохраняемь возглаголет.
A false witness shall perish: but the man that heareth speaketh constantly.
29 Нечестив муж безстудно стоит лицем: правый же сам разумевает пути своя.
A wicked man hardeneth his face: but as for the upright, he directeth his way.
30 Несть премудрости, несть мужества, несть совета у нечестиваго.
There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD.
31 Конь уготовляется на день брани: от Господа же помощь.
The horse is prepared for the day of battle: but safety is from the LORD.
