Книга Судей израилевых 1
1 И бысть по скончании Иисусове, и вопрошаху сынове Израилевы Господа, глаголюще: кто взыдет нам к Хананею воевода, ратовати на них?
And it came to pass after the death of Joshua, that the children of Israel asked the Lord, saying, Who shall go up for us against the Canaanites at the first, to fight against them?
2 И рече Господь: Иуда взыдет: се, дах землю в руку его.
And the Lord said, Judah shall go up; behold, I have delivered the land into his hand.
3 И рече Иуда к Симеону брату своему: взыди со мною в жребий мой, и ополчимся на Хананеа: и пойду и аз с тобою в жребий твой. И пойде с ним Симеон.
And Judah said unto Simeon his brother, Come up with me into my lot, and we will fight against the Canaanites; and I likewise will go with thee into thy lot. So Simeon went with him.
4 И взыде Иуда, и предаде Господь Хананеа и Ферезеа в руце их: и избиша их в Везеце до десяти тысящ мужей.
And Judah went up; and the Lord delivered the Canaanites and the Perizzites into their hand; and they smote [of] them in Bezek ten thousand men.
5 И обретоша Адонивезека в Везеце, и секошася с ним: и избиша Хананеа и Ферезеа.
And they found Adoni-bezek in Bezek; and they fought against him, and they smote the Canaanites and the Perizzites.
6 И побеже Адонивезек: и гнаша вслед его, и яша его, и отсекоша краи рук его и краи ног его.
But Adoni-bezek fled; and they pursued after him, and caught him, and cut off his thumbs and his great toes.
7 И рече Адонивезек: седмидесяти царем обсекох краи рук их и краи ног их, и быша собирающе (от крупиц) под трапезою моею: якоже убо сотворих, тако воздаде ми Бог. И приведоша его во Иерусалим, и умре тамо.
And Adoni-bezek said, Seventy kings, having their thumbs and their great toes cut off, gathered food under my table: as I have done, so hath God requited me. And they brought him to Jerusalem, and he died there.
8 И воеваша сынове Иудины на Иерусалим, и взяша его, и поразиша его острием меча, и град сожгоша огнем.
And the children of Judah fought against Jerusalem, and captured it, and they smote it with the edge of the sword, and the city they set on fire.
9 И по сих снидоша сынове Иудины воевати на Хананеа живущаго в горней к югу и в равней.
And afterward did the children of Judah go down to fight against the Canaanites, that dwelt in the mountain, and in the south, and in the lowlands.
10 И пойде Иуда на Хананеа живущаго в Хевроне. И изыде Хеврон со страны: имя же бе Хеврону прежде Кариафарвок-Сефер: и убиша Сесина и Ахимана и Фолмиа, роды Енаковы.
And Judah went against the Canaanites that dwelt in Hebron; [now the name of Hebron was formerly Kiryath-arba'; ] and they smote Sheshai, and Achiman, and Talmai.
11 И взыдоша оттуду к живущым в Давире: имя же Давиру бе прежде Кариафсефер, Град Писмен.
And he went from there against the inhabitants of Debir; and the name of Debir was formerly Kiryath-sepher:
12 И рече Халев: иже аще поразит Град Писмен и возмет его, дам ему Асхань дщерь мою в жену.
And Caleb said, He that will smite Kiryath-sepher, and capture it, to him will I give 'Achsah my daughter for wife.
13 И взя его Гофониил сын Кенеза брата Халевова юнейший, и даде ему Халев Асхань дщерь свою в жену.
And 'Othniel the son of Kenaz, Caleb's younger brother, captured it: and he gave him 'Achsah his daughter for wife.
14 И бысть внегда отходити ей, и подвиже ю Гофониил просити у отца своего села, и ропташе (седящи) на осляти, и вопияше со осляти: на землю южную отдал мя еси. И рече ей Халев: что ти есть?
And it came to pass, when she came to him, that she persuaded him to ask of her father a field: and she alighted from off her ass; and Caleb said unto her, What aileth thee?
15 И рече ему Асхань: даждь ми благословение: яко на землю южную отдал еси мя, да даси мне и исходища водная. И даде ей Халев по сердцу ея исходища вышних и исходища нижних.
And she said unto him, Give me a blessing; for thou hast given me a dry land: give me also springs of water. And Caleb gave her the upper springs and the nether springs.
16 И сынове Иофора Кинеева, ужика Моисеова, взыдоша от града Финическа к сыном Иудиным в пустыню сущую на юг Иуды ко исходу Аредову, и поидоша, и вселишася с людьми.
And the children of the Kenite, the father-in-law of Moses, went up out of the city of palm-trees with the children of Judah into the wilderness of Judah, which is at the south of 'Arad; and they went and dwelt with the people.
17 И пойде Иуда с Симеоном братом своим, и изби Хананеа живущаго в Сефефе, и потребиша его: и прозваша имя граду Потребление.
And Judah went with Simeon his brother, and they smote the Canaanites that inhabited Zephath, and devoted it. And the name of the city was called Chormah.
18 И взя Иуда Газу и предел ея, и Аскалона и предел его, и Аккарон и предел его, и Азот и окрестная его.
And Judah captured Gazzah with its territory, and Ashkelon with its territory, and 'Ekron with its territory.
19 И бяше Господь со Иудою. И взя гору, яко не возмогоша потребити живущих во юдоли, зане Рихав противоста им, и колесницы железныя бяху там.
And the Lord was with Judah; and he took possession of the mountain; but could not drive out the inhabitants of the valley, because they had chariots of iron.
20 И даша Халеву Хеврон, якоже глагола Моисей: и наследствова тамо три грады сынов Енаковых, и изгна оттуду три сыны Енаковы.
And they gave Hebron unto Caleb, as Moses had spoken; and he drove out thence the three sons of 'Anak.
21 И Иевусеа живущаго во Иерусалиме не изгнаша сынове Вениаминовы, и живяше Иевусей с сынми Вениамини во Иерусалиме даже до сего дне.
And the Jebusites that inhabited Jerusalem, the children of Benjamin did not drive out; but the Jebusites dwelt with the children of Benjamin in Jerusalem until this day.
22 И взыдоша сынове Иосифли и сии в Вефиль: и Господь бяше с ними.
And the house of Joseph, these also, went up against Beth-el; and the Lord was with them.
23 И ополчишася, и соглядаша (сынове Иосифовы) Вефиль: имя же бе прежде граду Луза.
And the house of Joseph sent to spy out Beth-el: now the name of the city formerly was Luz.
24 И видеша стрегущии мужа исходящаго из града, и яша его и рекоша ему: покажи нам вход во град, и сотворим с тобою милость.
And the watchers saw a man coming forth out of the city, and they said unto him, Show us, we pray thee, the entrance into the city, and we will show thee kindness.
25 И показа им вход градный: и поразиша град острием меча, мужа же и сродство его отпустиша.
And he showed them the entrance into the city, and they smote the city with the edge of the sword; but the man and all his family they let go free.
26 И отиде муж в землю Хеттиим, и созда тамо град, и прозва имя ему Луза: сие имя ему даже до дне сего.
And the man went into the land of the Hittites, and built a city, and called its name Luz: this is its name unto this day.
27 И не разори Манассий Вефсана, иже есть Скифский град, ниже дщерей его, ниже окрестных (предел) его, ниже Фанаха, ниже дщерей его, ниже живущих в Доре, ниже дщерей его, ниже живущих во Иевламе, ниже окрестных его, ниже дщерей его, и живущих в Магеддоне, ниже окрестных его и дщерей его. И нача Хананей жити на земли сей.
Neither did Menasseh drive out [the inhabitants of] Beth-shean and its towns, nor Ta'anach and its towns, nor the inhabitants of Dor and its towns, nor the inhabitants of Yible'am and its towns, nor the inhabitants of Megiddo and its towns; but the Canaanites succeeded to remain in this land.
28 И бысть егда укрепися Израиль, и сотвори Хананеа данника: изгнанием же не изгна его.
And it came to pass, when Israel became strong, that they put the Canaanites to tribute; but they did not drive them out entirely.
29 И Ефрем не изгна Хананеа живущаго в Газере: и живяше Хананей среде его в Газере, и бысть ему в данника.
Neither did Ephraim drive out the Canaanites that dwelt in Gezer; and the Canaanites dwelt in the midst of them at Gezer.
30 И Завулон не изгна живущих в Хевроне и живущих во Аммане: и вселися Хананей посреде их и бысть ему данник.
Zebulun did not drive out the inhabitants of Kitron, nor the inhabitants of Nahalol; and the Canaanites dwelt in the midst of them, and became tributary.
31 И Асир не изгна живущих во Акхоре, (и бысть ему данник, ) ни живущих в Доре, ни живущих в Сидоне, ни живущих в Далафе и во Ахазиве, и во Елве и во Афеке и в Роове.
Asher did not drive out the inhabitants of 'Akko, nor the inhabitants of Zidon, nor of Achlab, nor of Achzib, nor of Chelbah, nor of Aphik, nor of Rechob;
32 И вселися Асир посреде Хананеа живущаго на земли (той), зане не возможе изгнати его.
And the Asherites dwelt in the midst of the Canaanites, the inhabitants of the land; for they did not drive them out.
33 И Неффалим не изгна живущих в Вефсамисе, ниже живущих в Вефанахе: и вселися Неффалим среде Хананеа живущаго на земли (сей): живущии же в Вефсамисе и в Вефанахе быша ему данницы.
Naphtali did not drive out the inhabitants of Beth-shemesh, nor the inhabitants of Beth-'anath; and he dwelt in the midst of the Canaanites, the inhabitants of the land; nevertheless the inhabitants of Beth-shemesh and of Beth-anath became tributary unto them.
34 И утесни Аморрей сыны Дановы в горе, яко не попусти им низходити во юдоль.
And the Emorites forced the children of Dan into the mountain; for they would not suffer them to come down into the valley;
35 И нача Аморрей жити в горе Чрепней, идеже медведи и лисицы, в Мирсиноне и в Салавине: и отяготе рука дому Иосифля на Аморреа, и бысть ему данник.
And the Emorites succeeded to remain on mount Cheres, in Ayalon, and in Sha'albim; but when the hand of the house of Joseph prevailed, they became tributary.
36 И предел Аморрейский идумей от восхода Акравиня, от Камене и выше.
And the territory of the Emorites was from the ascent of 'Akrabbim, from the Rock upward.
