От Иоанна святое благовествование 18
1 (И) сия рек Иисус, изыде со ученики Своими на он пол потока Кедрска, идеже бе вертоград, в оньже вниде Сам и ученицы Его:
When Iesus had spoken these things, hee went foorth with his disciples ouer the brooke Cedron, where was a garden, into the which he entred, and his disciples.
2 ведяше же Иуда предаяй Его место, яко множицею собирашеся Иисус ту со ученики Своими.
And Iudas which betraied him, knewe also the place: for Iesus oft times resorted thither with his disciples.
3 Иуда убо приемь спиру и от архиерей и фарисей слуги, прииде тамо со светилы и свещами и оружии.
Iudas then, after hee had receiued a band of men and officers of the high Priests, and of the Pharises, came thither with lanternes and torches, and weapons.
4 Иисус же ведый вся грядущая Нань, изшед рече им: кого ищете?
Then Iesus, knowing all things that shoulde come vnto him, went foorth and said vnto them, Whom seeke yee?
5 Отвещаша Ему: Иисуса Назореа. Глагола им Иисус: Аз есмь. Стояше же и Иуда, иже предаяше Его, с ними.
They answered him, Iesus of Nazareth. Iesus sayde vnto them, I am hee. Nowe Iudas also which betraied him, stoode with them.
6 Егда же рече им: Аз есмь, идоша вспять и падоша на земли.
Assoone then as hee had saide vnto them, I am hee, they went away backewardes, and fell to the grounde.
7 Паки убо вопроси их (Иисус): кого ищете? Они же реша: Иисуса Назореа.
Then he asked them againe, Whome seeke yee? And they sayd, Iesus of Nazareth.
8 Отвеща Иисус: рех вам, яко Аз есмь: аще убо Мене ищете, оставите сих ити:
Iesus answered, I said vnto you, that I am he: therefore if ye seeke me, let these go their way.
9 да сбудется слово, еже рече, яко ихже дал еси Мне, не погубих от них ни когоже.
This was that the worde might be fulfilled which hee spake, Of them which thou gauest me, haue I lost none.
10 Симон же Петр, имый нож, извлече его и удари архиереова раба и уреза ему ухо десное: бе же имя рабу Малх.
Then Simon Peter hauing a sword, drewe it, and smote the hie Priests seruant, and cut off his right eare. Nowe the seruants name was Malchus.
11 Рече убо Иисус Петрови: вонзи нож в ножницу: чашу, юже даде Мне Отец, не имам ли пити ея?
Then sayde Iesus vnto Peter, Put vp thy sworde into the sheath: shall I not drinke of the cuppe which my Father hath giuen me?
12 Спира же и тысящник и слуги Иудейстии яша Иисуса и связаша Его,
Then the bande and the captaine, and the officers of the Iewes tooke Iesus, and bound him,
13 и ведоша Его ко Анне первее: бе бо тесть Каиафе, иже бе архиерей лету тому:
And led him away to Annas first (for he was father in lawe to Caiaphas, which was the hie Priest that same yeere)
14 бе же Каиафа давый совет Иудеом, яко уне есть единому человеку умрети за люди.
And Caiaphas was he, that gaue counsel to the Iewes, that it was expedient that one man should die for the people.
15 По Иисусе же идяше Симон Петр и другий ученик: ученик же той бе знаемь архиереови и вниде со Иисусом во двор архиереов:
Nowe Simon Peter folowed Iesus, and another disciple, and that disciple was knowen of the hie Priest: therefore he went in with Iesus into the hall of the hie Priest:
16 Петр же стояше при дверех вне. Изыде убо ученик той, иже бе знаемь архиереови, и рече двернице и введе Петра.
But Peter stood at the doore without. Then went out the other disciple which was knowen vnto the hie Priest, and spake to her that kept the doore, and brought in Peter.
17 Глагола же раба дверница Петрови: еда и ты ученик еси Человека Сего? Глагола он: несмь.
Then saide the maide that kept the doore, vnto Peter, Art not thou also one of this mans disciples? He sayd, I am not.
18 Стояху же раби и слуги огнь сотворше, яко зима бе, и греяхуся: бе же с ними Петр стоя и греяся.
And the seruants and officers stoode there, which had made a fire of coles: for it was colde, and they warmed themselues. And Peter also stood among them, and warmed himselfe.
19 Архиерей же вопроси Иисуса о ученицех Его и о учении Его.
(The hie Priest then asked Iesus of his disciples, and of his doctrine.
20 Отвеща ему Иисус: Аз не обинуяся глаголах миру: Аз всегда учах на сонмищих и в церкви, идеже всегда Иудее снемлются, и тай не глаголах ничесоже:
Iesus answered him, I spake openly to the world: I euer taught in the Synagogue and in the Temple, whither the Iewes resort continually, and in secret haue I sayde nothing.
21 что Мя вопрошаеши? Вопроси слышавших, что глаголах им: се, сии ведят, яже рех Аз.
Why askest thou mee? aske them which heard mee what I sayde vnto them: beholde, they knowe what I sayd.
22 Сия же рекшу Ему, един от предстоящих слуг удари в ланиту Иисуса, рек: тако ли отвещаваеши архиереови?
When he had spoken these thinges, one of the officers which stoode by, smote Iesus with his rod, saying, Answerest thou the hie Priest so?
23 Отвеща ему Иисус: аще зле глаголах, свидетелствуй о зле: аще ли добре, что Мя биеши?
Iesus answered him, If I haue euill spoken, beare witnes of the euil: but if I haue well spoken, why smitest thou me?
24 Посла же Его Анна связана к Каиафе архиереови.
Nowe Annas had sent him bound vnto Caiaphas the hie Priest)
25 Бе же Симон Петр стоя и греяся. Реша же ему: еда и ты от ученик Его еси? Он (же) отвержеся и рече: несмь.
And Simon Peter stoode and warmed himselfe, and they said vnto him, Art not thou also of his disciples? He denied it, and said, I am not.
26 Глагола един от раб архиереовых, южика сый, емуже Петр уреза ухо: не аз ли тя видех в вертограде с Ним?
One of the seruaunts of the hie Priest, his cousin whose eare Peter smote off, saide, Did not I see thee in the garden with him?
27 Паки убо Петр отвержеся, и абие петель возгласи.
Peter then denied againe, and immediatly the cocke crewe.
28 Ведоша же Иисуса от Каиафы в претор. Бе же утро: и тии не внидоша в претор, да не осквернятся, но да ядят пасху.
Then led they Iesus from Caiaphas into the common hall. Nowe it was morning, and they themselues went not into the common hall, least they should be defiled, but that they might eate the Passeouer.
29 Изыде же Пилат к ним вон и рече: кую речь приносите на Человека Сего?
Pilate then went out vnto them, and said, What accusation bring yee against this man?
30 Отвещаша и реша ему: аще не бы (был) Сей злодей, не быхом предали Его тебе.
They answered, and saide vnto him, If hee were not an euill doer, we woulde not haue deliuered him vnto thee.
31 Рече же им Пилат: поимите Его вы и по закону вашему судите Ему. Реша же ему Иудее: нам не достоит убити ни когоже:
Then sayde Pilate vnto them, Take yee him, and iudge him after your owne Lawe. Then the Iewes sayde vnto him, It is not lawfull for vs to put any man to death.
32 да слово Иисусово сбудется, еже рече, назнаменуя, коею смертию хотяше умрети.
It was that the worde of Iesus might be fulfilled which he spake, signifying what death he should die.
33 Вниде убо паки Пилат в претор и пригласи Иисуса и рече Ему: Ты ли еси Царь Иудейск?
So Pilate entred into the common hall againe, and called Iesus, and sayde vnto him, Art thou the king of the Iewes?
34 Отвеща ему Иисус: о себе ли ты сие глаголеши, или инии тебе рекоша о Мне?
Iesus answered him, Saiest thou that of thy selfe, or did other tell it thee of me?
35 Отвеща Пилат: еда аз Жидовин есмь? Род Твой и архиерее предаша Тя мне: что еси сотворил?
Pilate answered, Am I a Iewe? Thine owne nation, and the hie Priestes haue deliuered thee vnto me. What hast thou done?
36 Отвеща Иисус: Царство Мое несть от мира сего: аще от мира сего было бы Царство Мое, слуги Мои (убо) подвизалися быша, да не предан бых был Иудеом: ныне же Царство Мое несть отсюду.
Iesus answered, My kingdome is not of this worlde: if my kingdome were of this worlde, my seruants would surely fight, that I should not be deliuered to the Iewes: but nowe is my kingdome not from hence.
37 Рече же Ему Пилат: убо Царь ли еси Ты? Отвеща Иисус: ты глаголеши, яко Царь есмь Аз: Аз на сие родихся и на сие приидох в мир, да свидетелствую истину: (и) всяк, иже есть от истины, послушает гласа Моего.
Pilate then said vnto him, Art thou a King then? Iesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a King: for this cause am I borne, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should beare witnes vnto the trueth: euery one that is of the trueth, heareth my voyce.
38 Глагола Ему Пилат: что есть истина? И сие рек, паки изыде ко Иудеом и глагола им: аз ни единыя вины обретаю в Нем:
Pilate said vnto him, What is trueth? And when he had saide that, hee went out againe vnto the Iewes, and said vnto them, I finde in him no cause at all.
39 есть же обычай вам, да единаго вам отпущу на Пасху: хощете ли убо, (да) отпущу вам Царя Иудейска?
But you haue a custome, that I shoulde deliuer you one loose at the Passeouer: will yee then that I loose vnto you the King of ye Iewes?
40 Возопиша же паки вси, глаголюще: не Сего, но Варавву. Бе же Варавва разбойник.
Then cried they all againe, saying, Not him, but Barabbas: nowe this Barabbas was a murtherer.
