Книга Иова 33
1 Но послушай, Иове, словес моих и беседу мою внуши:
Howbeit, Job, I pray thee, hear mine utterances, and hearken to all my words.
2 се бо, отверзох уста моя, и возглагола язык мой:
Behold now, I have opened my mouth, my tongue speaketh in my palate,
3 чисто сердце мое во словесех, разум же устну моею чистая уразумеет:
My words shall be of the uprightness of my heart, and my lips shall utter knowledge purely.
4 Дух Божий сотворивый мя, дыхание же Вседержителево поучающее мя:
The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.
5 аще можеши, даждь ми ответ к сим: потерпи, стани противу мене, и аз противу тебе.
If thou canst, answer me; array [thy words] before me: take thy stand.
6 От брения сотворен еси ты, якоже и аз: от тогожде сотворения есмы:
Behold, before God I am as thou; I also am formed out of the clay.
7 не страх мой тя смятет, ниже рука моя тяжка будет на тя.
Behold, my terror shall not make thee afraid, nor my burden be heavy upon thee.
8 Обаче рекл еси во ушы мои, и глас глагол твоих услышах, занеже глаголеши:
Surely thou hast spoken in my hearing, and I have heard the voice of [thy] words: —
9 чист есмь аз, не согрешая, непорочен же есмь, ибо не беззаконновах:
I am clean without transgression; I am pure, and there is no iniquity in me;
10 зазор же на мя обрете и мнит мя, яко противника Себе:
Lo, he findeth occasions of hostility against me, he counteth me for his enemy;
11 вложи же ногу мою в древо и надсмотрял пути моя вся.
He putteth my feet in the stocks, he marketh all my paths.
12 Како бо глаголеши, яко прав есмь, и не послуша мене? Вечен бо есть, иже над земными.
Behold, I will answer thee in this, thou art not right; for God is greater than man.
13 Глаголеши бо: чесо ради правды моея не услыша всяко слово?
Why dost thou strive against him? for he giveth not account of any of his matters.
14 Единою бо возглаголет Господь, второе же во сне, или в поучении нощнем,
For God speaketh once, and twice, — [and man] perceiveth it not —
15 или, яко егда нападает страх лют на человеки, во дреманиих на ложи:
In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed;
16 тогда открыет ум человеческий, виденьми страха тацеми их устрашит,
Then he openeth men's ears, and sealeth their instruction,
17 да возвратит человека от неправды, тело же его от падения избави,
That he may withdraw man [from his] work, and hide pride from man.
18 пощаде же душу его от смерти, еже не пасти ему на брани.
He keepeth back his soul from the pit, and his life from passing away by the sword.
19 Паки же обличи его болезнию на ложи и множество костей его разслаби:
He is chastened also with pain upon his bed, and with constant strife in his bones;
20 всякаго же брашна пшенична не возможет прияти, а душа его яди хощет,
And his life abhorreth bread, and his soul dainty food;
21 дондеже согниют плоти его, и покажет кости его тощя:
His flesh is consumed away from view, and his bones that were not seen stick out;
22 приближися же на смерть душа его, и живот его во аде. (questioned)
And his soul draweth near to the pit, and his life to the destroyers.
23 Аще будет тысяща Ангел смертоносных, един от них не уязвит его: аще помыслит сердцем обратитися ко Господу, повесть же человеку свой зазор, и безумие свое покажет,
If there be a messenger with him, an interpreter, one among a thousand, to shew unto man his duty;
24 заступит е, еже не впасти ему в смерть, обновит же тело его якоже повапление на стене, кости же его исполнит мозга:
Then he will be gracious unto him, and say, Deliver him from going down to the pit: I have found a ransom.
25 умягчит же его плоть якоже младенца, и устроит его возмужавша в человецех.
His flesh shall be fresher than in childhood; he shall return to the days of his youth.
26 Помолится же ко Господу и прият им будет, внидет же лицем веселым со исповеданием, воздаст же человеком правду свою.
He shall pray unto God, and he will receive him with favour; and he shall see his face with shoutings, and he will render unto man his righteousness.
27 Посем тогда зазрит человек сам себе, глаголя: яковая содевах? И не по достоинству истяза мя, о нихже согреших:
He will sing before men, and say, I have sinned, and perverted what was right, and it hath not been requited to me;
28 спаси душу мою, еже не внити во истление, и жизнь моя свет узрит.
He hath delivered my soul from going into the pit, and my life shall see the light.
29 Се, сия вся творит Крепкий (Бог) пути три с мужем:
Lo, all these [things] worketh God twice, thrice, with man,
30 но избави душу мою от смерти, да живот мой во свете хвалит его.
To bring back his soul from the pit, that he may be enlightened with the light of the living.
31 Внимай, Иове, и послушай мене, премолчи, и аз возглаголю:
Mark well, Job, hearken unto me; be silent, and I will speak.
32 и аще тебе суть словеса, отвещай ми: глаголи, хощу бо оправдитися тебе:
If thou hast anything to say, answer me; speak, for I desire to justify thee.
33 аще же ни, ты послушай мене, умолчи, и научу тя премудрости.
If not, hearken thou unto me; be silent, and I will teach thee wisdom.
