Книга Иова 11
1 Отвещав же Софар Минейский, рече:
Then answered Zophar the Naamathite, and said,
2 глаголяй много, и противоуслышит: или многоречив мнится быти праведен? Благословен рожденный от жены малолетен.
Should not the multitude of words be answered? and should a man full of talk be justified?
3 Не мног во словесех буди: несть бо противовещаяй ти.
Should your lies make men hold their peace? and when you mock, shall no man make you ashamed?
4 Не глаголи бо, яко чист есмь делы и безпорочен пред Ним:
For you have said, My doctrine is pure, and I am clean in your eyes.
5 но како Господь возглаголет к тебе и отверзет устне Свои с тобою?
But oh that God would speak, and open his lips against you;
6 Потом возвестит ти силу премудрости, яко сугуб будет в сих, яже противу тебе: и тогда уразумееши, яко достойная тебе сбышася от Господа, имиже согрешил еси,
And that he would show you the secrets of wisdom, that they are double to that which is! Know therefore that God exacts of you less than your iniquity deserves.
7 или след Господень обрящеши? Или в последняя достигл еси, яже сотвори Вседержитель?
Can you by searching find out God? can you find out the Almighty to perfection?
It is as high as heaven; what can you do? deeper than hell; what can you know? (Sheol h7585)
9 Не должае ли меры земныя, или широты морския?
The measure thereof is longer than the earth, and broader than the sea.
10 Аще же превратит вся, кто речет Ему: что сотворил еси?
If he cut off, and shut up, or gather together, then who can hinder him?
11 Той бо весть дела беззаконных: видев же нелепая, не презрит.
For he knows vain men: he sees wickedness also; will he not then consider it?
12 Человек же инако обилует словесы: земный же рожденный от жены равен ослу пустынному.
For vain men would be wise, though man be born like a wild ass’s colt.
13 Аще бо ты чисто положил еси сердце твое, воздеваеши же руце твои к Нему,
If you prepare your heart, and stretch out your hands toward him;
14 аще беззаконно что есть в руку твоею, далече сотвори е от тебе, неправда же в жилищи твоем да не вселится:
If iniquity be in your hand, put it far away, and let not wickedness dwell in your tabernacles.
15 тако бо ти возсияет лице, якоже вода чиста: совлечешися же скверны, и не убоишися,
For then shall you lift up your face without spot; yes, you shall be steadfast, and shall not fear:
16 и труда забудеши, якоже волны мимошедшия, и не устрашишися.
Because you shall forget your misery, and remember it as waters that pass away:
17 Молитва же твоя, аки денница, и паче полудне возсияет ти жизнь:
And your age shall be clearer than the noonday: you shall shine forth, you shall be as the morning.
18 уповая же будеши, яко будет ти надежда: от туги же и попечения явится ти мир:
And you shall be secure, because there is hope; yes, you shall dig about you, and you shall take your rest in safety.
19 упокоишися бо, и не будет боряй тя: пременяющиися же мнози имут просити тя,
Also you shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid; yes, many shall make suit to you.
20 спасение же оставит их: надежда бо их пагуба, очи же нечестивых истают.
But the eyes of the wicked shall fail, and they shall not escape, and their hope shall be as the giving up of the ghost.
