Книга пророка Иеремии 1
1 Слово Божие, еже бысть ко Иеремии сыну Хелкиеву от священник, иже обиташе во Анафофе, в земли Вениаминове,
The words of Jeremiah the son of Hilkiah, of the priests who were in Anathoth in the land of Benjamin:
2 якоже бысть слово Господне к нему, во дни Иосии сына Амоса царя Иудина, в третиенадесять лето царства его,
to whom the word of Jehovah came in the days of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah, in the thirteenth year of his reign.
3 и бысть во дни Иоакима сына Иосии царя Иудина, даже до первагонадесять лета Седекии сына Иосии царя Иудина, даже до пленения Иерусалимскаго в месяц пятый.
It came also in the days of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, to the end of the eleventh year of Zedekiah, the son of Josiah, king of Judah, to the carrying away of Jerusalem captive in the fifth month.
4 И бысть слово Господне ко мне глаголя:
Now the word of Jehovah came to me, saying,
5 прежде неже мне создати тя во чреве, познах тя, и прежде неже изыти тебе из ложесн, освятих тя, пророка во языки поставих тя.
"Before I formed you in the belly, I knew you. Before you came forth out of the womb, I sanctified you. I have appointed you a prophet to the nations."
6 И рекох: о, Сый Владыко Господи, се, не вем глаголати, яко отрок аз есмь.
Then I said, "Ah, Lord Jehovah. Look, I do not know how to speak; for I am a child."
7 И рече Господь ко мне: не глаголи, яко отрок аз есмь, ибо ко всем, к нимже послю тя, пойдеши, и вся, елика повелю тебе, возглаголеши:
But Jehovah said to me, "Do not say, 'I am a child;' for to whoever I shall send you, you shall go, and whatever I shall command you, you shall speak.
8 не убойся от лица их, яко с тобою Аз есмь, еже избавити тя, глаголет Господь.
Do not be afraid because of them; for I am with you to deliver you," says Jehovah.
9 И простре Господь руку Свою ко мне и прикоснуся устом моим, и рече Господь ко мне: се, дах словеса Моя во уста твоя:
Then Jehovah put forth his hand, and touched my mouth; and Jehovah said to me, "Look, I have put my words in your mouth.
10 се, поставих тя днесь над языки и над царствы, да искорениши и разориши, и расточиши и разрушиши, и паки созиждеши и насадиши.
Look, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, to pluck up and to break down and to destroy and to overthrow, to build and to plant."
11 И бысть слово Господне ко мне глаголя: что ты видиши Иеремие? И рекох: жезл ореховый (аз вижду).
Moreover the word of Jehovah came to me, saying, "Jeremiah, what do you see?" I said, "I see a branch of an almond tree."
12 И рече Господь ко мне: благо видел еси, понеже бдех Аз над словесы Моими, еже сотворити я.
Then Jehovah said to me, "You have seen well; for I watch over my word to perform it."
13 И бысть слово Господне вторицею ко мне глаголя: что ты видиши? И рекох: коноб поджигаемый (аз вижду) и лице его от лица севера.
The word of Jehovah came to me the second time, saying, "What do you see?" I said, "I see a boiling caldron; and it is tipping away from the north."
14 И рече Господь ко мне: от лица севера возгорятся злая на всех обитающих на земли,
Then Jehovah said to me, "Out of the north evil will break out on all the inhabitants of the land.
15 зане се, Аз созову вся царства земная от севера, рече Господь и приидут и поставят кийждо престол свой в преддвериих врат Иерусалимских и на всех стенах окрест его и на всех градех Иудиных:
For, look, I will call all the families of the kingdoms of the north," says Jehovah; "and they shall come, and they shall each set his throne at the entrance of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all its walls all around, and against all the cities of Judah.
16 и возглаголю к ним с судом о всяцей злобе их, како оставиша Мя и пожроша богом чуждим и поклонишася делом рук своих.
I will utter my judgments against them touching all their wickedness, in that they have forsaken me, and have burned incense to other gods, and worshiped the works of their own hands.
17 Ты же препояши чресла твоя, и востани и глаголи к ним вся, елика заповедаю тебе: не убойся от лица их, ниже устрашися пред ними, яко с тобою есмь, еже избавити тя, глаголет Господь:
"You therefore put your belt on your waist, arise, and speak to them all that I command you. Do not be dismayed at them, lest I dismay you before them.
18 се, положих тя днесь аки град тверд и в столп железный, и аки стену медяну, крепку всем царем Иудиным и князем его, и священником его и людем земли:
For, look, I have made you this day a fortified city, and an iron pillar, and bronze walls, against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, against its princes, against its priests, and against the people of the land.
19 и ратовати будут на тя и не премогут тя, понеже с тобою Аз есмь, да избавлю тя, рече Господь.
They will fight against you; but they will not prevail against you; for I am with you," says Jehovah, "to deliver you."
