Книга пророка Иеремии 51
1 Тако глаголет Господь: се, Аз воздвигну на Вавилон и на живущыя Халдеи ветр зноен губителный:
Thus says the LORD; Behold, I will raise up against Babylon, and against them that dwell in the middle of them that rise up against me, a destroying wind;
2 и послю на Вавилон ругатели, и студно поругаются ему и истлят землю его: понеже горе на Вавилон окрест в день озлобления его.
And will send to Babylon fanners, that shall fan her, and shall empty her land: for in the day of trouble they shall be against her round about.
3 Да наляцает наляцаяй лук свой, и да облечется в броня своя, и не пощадите юнош его, и побийте все воинство его.
Against him that bends let the archer bend his bow, and against him that lifts himself up in his brigandine: and spare you not her young men; destroy you utterly all her host.
4 И падут избиеннии в земли Халдейстей и язвеннии во странах ея.
Thus the slain shall fall in the land of the Chaldeans, and they that are thrust through in her streets.
5 Понеже не овдове Израиль и Иуда от Бога Своего, от Господа Вседержителя, яко земля их наполнися неправды от Святых Израилевых.
For Israel has not been forsaken, nor Judah of his God, of the LORD of hosts; though their land was filled with sin against the Holy One of Israel.
6 Бежите от среды Вавилона и спасите кийждо душу свою и не погибнете в неправде его, зане время отмщения его есть от Господа, воздаяние Той воздаст ему.
Flee out of the middle of Babylon, and deliver every man his soul: be not cut off in her iniquity; for this is the time of the LORD’s vengeance; he will render to her a recompense.
7 Чаша златая Вавилон в руце Господни, напаяющи всю землю, от вина его пиша (вси) языцы, сего ради потрясошася.
Babylon has been a golden cup in the LORD’s hand, that made all the earth drunken: the nations have drunken of her wine; therefore the nations are mad.
8 Внезапу паде Вавилон и сокрушися: плачите по нем, возмите масти к болезни его, да изцелится.
Babylon is suddenly fallen and destroyed: howl for her; take balm for her pain, if so be she may be healed.
9 Врачевахом Вавилона, и не изцеле: оставим его и отидем кийждо в землю свою, взыде бо к небеси суд его и воздвижеся даже до звезд.
We would have healed Babylon, but she is not healed: forsake her, and let us go every one into his own country: for her judgment reaches to heaven, and is lifted up even to the skies.
10 Изнесе Господь суд Свой: приидите и возвестим в Сионе дела Господа Бога нашего.
The LORD has brought forth our righteousness: come, and let us declare in Zion the work of the LORD our God.
11 Наострите стрелы, наполните тулы: воздвиже Господь дух царей Мидских, яко противу Вавилона гнев Его, да погубит и, понеже отмщение Господне есть, отмщение людий Его.
Make bright the arrows; gather the shields: the LORD has raised up the spirit of the kings of the Medes: for his device is against Babylon, to destroy it; because it is the vengeance of the LORD, the vengeance of his temple.
12 На стенах Вавилонских воздвигните знамя, поставите стражи, уготовите стражей, уготовите оружие: яко умысли Господь, и сотворит, яже рече на живущыя в Вавилоне,
Set up the standard on the walls of Babylon, make the watch strong, set up the watchmen, prepare the ambushes: for the LORD has both devised and done that which he spoke against the inhabitants of Babylon.
13 живый над водами многими и богат в сокровищих своих: прииде конец твой истинно во утробы твоя.
O you that dwell on many waters, abundant in treasures, your end is come, and the measure of your covetousness.
14 Клятся бо Господь Сил мышцею Своею, яко наполню тебе людьми, якоже акридами, и возгласят над тобою низходящии.
The LORD of hosts has sworn by himself, saying, Surely I will fill you with men, as with caterpillars; and they shall lift up a shout against you.
15 Господь сотворивый землю в силе Своей и устроивый вселенную в мудрости Своей, и разумением Своим распростре небеса,
He has made the earth by his power, he has established the world by his wisdom, and has stretched out the heaven by his understanding.
16 егда Он даст глас, умножатся воды на небеси, воздвизаяй облаки от конец земли, молнию в дождь сотвори, изводяй свет от сокровищ Своих.
When he utters his voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens; and he causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth: he makes lightning with rain, and brings forth the wind out of his treasures.
17 Обуя всяк человек от разума, посрамися всяк слиятель от изваяний своих, яко ложная слияния его, и несть духа в них:
Every man is brutish by his knowledge; every founder is confounded by the graven image: for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them.
18 суетна суть дела и смеху достойна, в час посещения своего погибнут.
They are vanity, the work of errors: in the time of their visitation they shall perish.
19 Не такова часть Иаковля, яко Сотворивый всяческая Той есть, (а Израиль) жезл достояния Его, Господь Вседержитель имя Его.
The portion of Jacob is not like them; for he is the former of all things: and Israel is the rod of his inheritance: the LORD of hosts is his name.
20 Сокрушаеши ты Мне сосуды бранныя, и Аз сокрушу в тебе языки и погублю в тебе царствия:
You are my battle ax and weapons of war: for with you will I break in pieces the nations, and with you will I destroy kingdoms;
21 и избию в тебе кони и всадники их, и избию в тебе колесницы и вседающих на них:
And with you will I break in pieces the horse and his rider; and with you will I break in pieces the chariot and his rider;
22 и избию в тебе мужа и жену, и избию в тебе стара и отрока, и избию в тебе юношу и деву:
With you also will I break in pieces man and woman; and with you will I break in pieces old and young; and with you will I break in pieces the young man and the maid;
23 и избию в тебе пастыря и стада его, и избию в тебе орюща и работна скота его, и избию в тебе воеводы и правители.
I will also break in pieces with you the shepherd and his flock; and with you will I break in pieces the farmer and his yoke of oxen; and with you will I break in pieces captains and rulers.
24 И воздам Вавилону и всем жителем Халдейским вся злобы их, яже сотвориша над Сионом пред очима вашима, глаголет Господь.
And I will render to Babylon and to all the inhabitants of Chaldea all their evil that they have done in Zion in your sight, says the LORD.
25 Се, Аз на тя, горо смертоносная, глаголет Господь, растлевающая всю землю, и простру руку Мою на тя и извергу тя из каменей, и дам тя в гору сожженую:
Behold, I am against you, O destroying mountain, says the LORD, which destroy all the earth: and I will stretch out my hand on you, and roll you down from the rocks, and will make you a burnt mountain.
26 и не возмут от тебе камене во угл и камене во основание, яко потребишися во веки, глаголет Господь.
And they shall not take of you a stone for a corner, nor a stone for foundations; but you shall be desolate for ever, says the LORD.
27 Воздвигните знамя на земли, вострубите трубою во языцех, освятите нань языки, возвестите нань царствам Араратским от Мене и Асханазеом: утвердите над ним стрельницы, возведите нань кони, яко акридов множество.
Set you up a standard in the land, blow the trumpet among the nations, prepare the nations against her, call together against her the kingdoms of Ararat, Minni, and Ashchenaz; appoint a captain against her; cause the horses to come up as the rough caterpillars.
28 Возведите нань языки, царя Мидска и всея земли, воевод его и всех воев его и всея земли области его.
Prepare against her the nations with the kings of the Medes, the captains thereof, and all the rulers thereof, and all the land of his dominion.
29 И потрясеся земля и смутися, зане воста на Вавилон умышление Господне, еже положити землю Вавилонску пусту и ненаселену.
And the land shall tremble and sorrow: for every purpose of the LORD shall be performed against Babylon, to make the land of Babylon a desolation without an inhabitant.
30 Оскудеша крепцыи Вавилонстии еже ратовати: сядут тамо во ограде, погибе храбрость их, и быша яко жены: пожжена суть селения, сотрены заворы его.
The mighty men of Babylon have declined to fight, they have remained in their holds: their might has failed; they became as women: they have burned her dwelling places; her bars are broken.
31 Гоняй во сретение текуща постигнет, и вестник сретит посла, да возвестит царю Вавилонску, яко взят бысть град его.
One post shall run to meet another, and one messenger to meet another, to show the king of Babylon that his city is taken at one end,
32 От края прехождений его яти быша, и твердыни его зажжены огнем, и мужие его воинстии исходят.
And that the passages are stopped, and the reeds they have burned with fire, and the men of war are affrighted.
33 Тако бо глаголет Господь Вседержитель, Бог Израилев: домове царя Вавилонскаго яко гумно зрело измлачени будут: еще мало, и приидет жатва его.
For thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; The daughter of Babylon is like a threshing floor, it is time to thresh her: yet a little while, and the time of her harvest shall come.
34 Снеде мя, раздроби мя, прият мя тма тонка, Навуходоносор царь Вавилонский пожре мя, яко змий наполни чрево свое сладостию моею: и извергоша мя.
Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon has devoured me, he has crushed me, he has made me an empty vessel, he has swallowed me up like a dragon, he has filled his belly with my delicates, he has cast me out.
35 Труды мои и беды моя на Вавилон, речет живущая в Сионе, и кровь моя на живущыя в Халдеех, речет Иерусалим.
The violence done to me and to my flesh be on Babylon, shall the inhabitant of Zion say; and my blood on the inhabitants of Chaldea, shall Jerusalem say.
36 Сего ради тако глаголет Господь: се, Аз судити буду соперника твоего и отмщу отмщение твое, и пусто сотворю море его и изсушу потоки его.
Therefore thus says the LORD; Behold, I will plead your cause, and take vengeance for you; and I will dry up her sea, and make her springs dry.
37 И будет Вавилон в запустение, жилище змием, в чудо и позвиздание, понеже не будет живущаго.
And Babylon shall become heaps, a dwelling place for dragons, an astonishment, and an hissing, without an inhabitant.
38 Вкупе аки львы востанут и аки скимни львов.
They shall roar together like lions: they shall yell as lions’ whelps.
39 В горячести их дам питие им и упою я, да спят и уснут сном вечным и не востанут, глаголет Господь.
In their heat I will make their feasts, and I will make them drunken, that they may rejoice, and sleep a perpetual sleep, and not wake, says the LORD.
40 И низведу я яко агнцы на заклание и яко овны с козлы.
I will bring them down like lambs to the slaughter, like rams with he goats.
41 Како взяся Сесах, и ята слава всея земли? Како бысть во удивление Вавилон во языцех?
How is Sheshach taken! and how is the praise of the whole earth surprised! how is Babylon become an astonishment among the nations!
42 Взыде на Вавилон море в шуме волн своих, и покрыся.
The sea is come up on Babylon: she is covered with the multitude of the waves thereof.
43 Быша гради его в запустение, земля безводна и пуста, земля, в нейже никтоже поживет, и ниже будет витати в нем сын человечь.
Her cities are a desolation, a dry land, and a wilderness, a land wherein no man dwells, neither does any son of man pass thereby.
44 И посещу на Вила в Вавилоне, и извергу то, еже поглоти, от уст его, и не соберутся вящше к нему языцы, зане и стены Вавилонския падут.
And I will punish Bel in Babylon, and I will bring forth out of his mouth that which he has swallowed up: and the nations shall not flow together any more to him: yes, the wall of Babylon shall fall.
45 Изыдите от среды его, людие Мои, да спасет кийждо душу свою от гнева ярости Господни.
My people, go you out of the middle of her, and deliver you every man his soul from the fierce anger of the LORD.
46 Да не когда умягчится сердце ваше, и убоитеся ради слуха, иже услышится на земли, и приидет в лето слышание, и по лете слышание, бедность и неправда на землю, и властелин на властелина.
And lest your heart faint, and you fear for the rumor that shall be heard in the land; a rumor shall both come one year, and after that in another year shall come a rumor, and violence in the land, ruler against ruler.
47 Сего ради, се, дние грядут, и посещу на изваяныя Вавилона: и вся земля его посрамится, и вси язвении его падут посреде его.
Therefore, behold, the days come, that I will do judgment on the graven images of Babylon: and her whole land shall be confounded, and all her slain shall fall in the middle of her.
48 И возвеселятся над Вавилоном небеса и земля и вся сущая в них: от полунощи бо приидут нань всегубителие, глаголет Господь:
Then the heaven and the earth, and all that is therein, shall sing for Babylon: for the spoilers shall come to her from the north, says the LORD.
49 и якоже сотвори Вавилон падати язвеным во Израили, тако в Вавилоне падут язвении всея земли.
As Babylon has caused the slain of Israel to fall, so at Babylon shall fall the slain of all the earth.
50 Избегшии меча, идите, не стойте: иже издалече, помяните Господа, и Иерусалим да взыдет на сердце ваше.
You that have escaped the sword, go away, stand not still: remember the LORD afar off, and let Jerusalem come into your mind.
51 Посрамихомся, зане слышахом ругание наше, покры срамота лице наше, яко приидоша чуждии во святая наша в дом Господень.
We are confounded, because we have heard reproach: shame has covered our faces: for strangers are come into the sanctuaries of the LORD’s house.
52 Сего ради, се, дние грядут глаголет Господь, и посещу на изваяния его, и по всей земли его падут язвении.
Why, behold, the days come, says the LORD, that I will do judgment on her graven images: and through all her land the wounded shall groan.
53 Яко аще взыдет Вавилон на небо и аще утвердит на высоте крепость свою, от Мене приидут губителие его, глаголет Господь.
Though Babylon should mount up to heaven, and though she should fortify the height of her strength, yet from me shall spoilers come to her, says the LORD.
54 Глас вопля Вавилонска, и сотрение велико в земли Халдейстей:
A sound of a cry comes from Babylon, and great destruction from the land of the Chaldeans:
55 яко погуби Господь Вавилона и сотре от него глас велий шумящь яко воды многи, даде в пагубу глас его:
Because the LORD has spoiled Babylon, and destroyed out of her the great voice; when her waves do roar like great waters, a noise of their voice is uttered:
56 яко прииде на Вавилон хищник, яти быша сильнии его, увяде лук их, яко Бог воздает им,
Because the spoiler is come on her, even on Babylon, and her mighty men are taken, every one of their bows is broken: for the LORD God of recompenses shall surely requite.
57 Господь воздает ему воздаяние: и упоит князи его и мудрыя его, и воеводы его и вои его и сильныя его, и уснут сном вечным и не возбудятся, глаголет Царь, Господь Вседержитель имя Его.
And I will make drunk her princes, and her wise men, her captains, and her rulers, and her mighty men: and they shall sleep a perpetual sleep, and not wake, says the King, whose name is the LORD of hosts.
58 Тако глаголет Господь Вседержитель: стена Вавилонска сия преширока, подкопанием подкопана будет, и врата его высока огнем сожжена будут, и будут трудитися людие вотще, и языцы в начале погибнут.
Thus says the LORD of hosts; The broad walls of Babylon shall be utterly broken, and her high gates shall be burned with fire; and the people shall labor in vain, and the folk in the fire, and they shall be weary.
59 Слово, еже заповеда Господь Иеремии пророку, рещи Сарею сыну Нириину, сына Маассеова, егда иде от Седекии царя Иудина в Вавилон, в четвертое лето царства его: Сарей же бе началник даров.
The word which Jeremiah the prophet commanded Seraiah the son of Neriah, the son of Maaseiah, when he went with Zedekiah the king of Judah into Babylon in the fourth year of his reign. And this Seraiah was a quiet prince.
60 И написа Иеремиа вся злая, яже имяху приити на Вавилон, во едину книгу вся словеса сия, яже писана суть на Вавилон. И рече Иеремиа к Сарею:
So Jeremiah wrote in a book all the evil that should come on Babylon, even all these words that are written against Babylon.
61 егда внидеши в Вавилон, и узриши и прочтеши вся словеса сия, и речеши:
And Jeremiah said to Seraiah, When you come to Babylon, and shall see, and shall read all these words;
62 Господи, Ты рекл еси противу места сего погубити е, и да не будет живяй в нем от человека и до скота, и да будет в вечную пустыню:
Then shall you say, O LORD, you have spoken against this place, to cut it off, that none shall remain in it, neither man nor beast, but that it shall be desolate for ever.
63 и будет, егда прочтеши книгу сию, привяжи к ней камень и вверзи ю посреде Евфрата и рцы:
And it shall be, when you have made an end of reading this book, that you shall bind a stone to it, and cast it into the middle of Euphrates:
64 тако потопится Вавилон и не востанет от лица зол, яже Аз наведу нань, и разорится. Даже до зде словеса Иеремиина.
And you shall say, Thus shall Babylon sink, and shall not rise from the evil that I will bring on her: and they shall be weary. Thus far are the words of Jeremiah.
