Книга пророка Иеремии 16
1 И бысть слово Господне ко мне, рекущее: и ты да не поймеши жены,
The word of Jehovah came also to me, saying,
2 и не родится тебе сын, ниже дщерь на месте сем.
"You shall not take a wife, neither shall you have sons or daughters, in this place.
3 Яко сия глаголет Господь от сынех и дщерех, иже родятся на месте сем, и о матерех их, яже родиша их, и о отцех их родивших я в земли сей:
For thus says Jehovah concerning the sons and concerning the daughters who are born in this place, and concerning their mothers who bore them, and concerning their fathers who became their father in this land:
4 смертию лютою изомрут, не оплачутся и не погребутся: во образ на лицы земли будут и мечем падут и гладом скончаются, и будут трупие их во снедь птицам небесным и зверем земным.
They shall die grievous deaths: they shall not be lamented, neither shall they be buried; they shall be as dung on the surface of the ground; and they shall be consumed by the sword, and by famine; and their dead bodies shall be food for the birds of the sky, and for the animals of the earth.
5 Сия глаголет Господь: да не внидеши в дом их пирный, ни да ходиши плакати, ниже да рыдаеши их, понеже отях мир Мой от людий сих, рече Господь, милость и щедроты.
For thus says Jehovah, 'Do not enter into the house of mourning, neither go to lament, neither bemoan them; for I have taken away my peace from this people, says Jehovah, even loving kindness and tender mercies.
6 И умрут велицыи и малии в земли сей: не погребутся, ни оплачутся, ниже терзание о них будет, ниже обриются ради их,
Both great and small shall die in this land; they shall not be buried, neither shall men lament for them, nor cut themselves, nor make themselves bald for them;
7 и не преломят хлеба во стенании их ко утешению над мертвым, и не дадут им пития чаши ко утешению над отцем и материю их.
neither shall men break bread for them in mourning, to comfort them for the dead; neither shall men give them the cup of consolation to drink for their father or for their mother.
8 И в дом пирный да не внидеши седети с ними, еже ясти и пити.
You shall not go into the house of feasting to sit with them, to eat and to drink.
9 Понеже сия глаголет Господь Сил, Бог Израилев: се, Аз отиму от места сего во очию вашею и во днех ваших глас радости и глас веселия, глас жениха и глас невесты.
For thus says Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Look, I will cause to cease out of this place, before your eyes and in your days, the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride.
10 И будет, егда возвестиши людем сим вся словеса сия, и рекут к тебе: вскую глаголал есть Господь на нас вся злая сия? Кая неправда наша? И кий грех наш, имже согрешихом Господу Богу нашему?
It shall happen, when you shall show this people all these words, and they shall tell you, 'Why has Jehovah pronounced all this great evil against us? Or what is our iniquity? Or what is our sin that we have committed against Jehovah our God?'
11 И речеши к ним: понеже оставиша Мя отцы ваши, глаголет Господь, и идоша вслед богов чуждих, и послужиша им и поклонишася им, Мене же оставиша и закона Моего не сохраниша:
Then you shall tell them, 'Because your fathers have forsaken me, says Jehovah, and have walked after other gods, and have served them, and have worshiped them, and have forsaken me, and have not kept my law;
12 и вы горше деласте, неже отцы ваши, и се, вы ходите кийждо вслед похотей сердца вашего лукаваго, еже не слушати Мене:
and you have done evil more than your fathers; for, look, you walk every one after the stubbornness of his evil heart, so that you do not listen to me:
13 и изрину вас от земли сея в землю, еяже не весте вы и отцы ваши, и послужите тамо богом чуждим день и нощь, иже не дадут вам милости.
therefore I will cast you forth out of this land into the land that you have not known, neither you nor your fathers; and there you shall serve other gods day and night; for I will show you no favor.'
14 Сего ради, се, дние грядут, глаголет Господь, и не рекут ктому: жив Господь, иже изведе сынов Израилевых от земли Египетския:
Therefore look, the days come," says Jehovah, "that it shall no more be said, 'As Jehovah lives, who brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;'
15 но: живет Господь, иже изведе сынов Израилевых от земли северныя и от всех стран, аможе извержени быша: и возвращу их в землю их, юже дах отцем их.
but, 'As Jehovah lives, who brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the countries where he had driven them.' I will bring them again into their land that I gave to their fathers.
16 Се, Аз послю рыбари многи, рече Господь, и уловят их: и посем послю многи ловцы, и уловят их на всяцей горе и на всяцем холме и от пещер каменных.
Look, I will send for many fishermen," says Jehovah, "and they shall fish them up; and afterward I will send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain, and from every hill, and out of the clefts of the rocks.
17 Яко очи Мои на всех путех их, не сокровени суть от лица Моего, и не утаена суть беззакония их от очию Моею.
For my eyes are on all their ways; they are not hidden from my face, neither is their iniquity concealed from my eyes.
18 И воздам первее сугубая беззакония и грехи их, имиже оскверниша землю Мою в мертвечинах мерзостей своих и в беззакониих своих, имиже наполниша достояние Мое.
First I will recompense their iniquity and their sin double, because they have polluted my land with the carcasses of their detestable things, and have filled my inheritance with their abominations."
19 Господи, Ты крепость моя и помощь моя и прибежище мое во днех злых: к Тебе языцы приидут от последних земли и рекут: воистинну лживых стяжаша отцы наши идолов, и несть в них пользы.
"Jehovah, my strength, and my stronghold, and my refuge in the day of affliction, to you shall the nations come from the farthest parts of the earth, and shall say, 'Our fathers have inherited nothing but lies, vanity and things in which there is no profit.
20 Еда сотворит себе человек боги, и тии не суть бози?
Shall a man make to himself gods, which yet are no gods?'"
21 Сего ради, се, Аз покажу им во время сие руку Мою и знаему сотворю им силу Мою, и познают, яко имя Мне Господь.
"Therefore look, I will cause them to know, this once will I cause them to know my hand and my might; and they shall know that my name is Jehovah.
