Книга пророка Исаии 40
1 Утешайте, утешайте люди Моя, глаголет Бог:
Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God.
2 священницы, глаголите в сердце Иерусалиму, утешайте и, яко наполнися смирение его, разрешися грех его, яко прият от руки Господни сугубы грехи своя.
Speak ye kindly to Jerusalem, and cry to her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received from the LORD’S hand double for all her sins.
3 Глас вопиющаго в пустыни: уготовайте путь Господень, правы сотворите стези Бога нашего:
The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
4 всяка дебрь наполнится, и всяка гора и холм смирится, и будут вся стропотная в право, и острая в пути гладки.
Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:
5 И явится слава Господня, и узрит всяка плоть спасение Божие, яко Господь глагола.
And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh together shall see it: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
6 Глас вопиющаго: возопий. И рекох: что возопию? Всяка плоть сено, и всяка слава человеча яко цвет травный:
The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all its beauty is as the flower of the field:
7 изсше трава, и цвет отпаде,
The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the LORD bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass.
8 глаголгол же Бога нашего пребывает во веки.
The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.
9 На гору высоку взыди, благовествуяй Сиону, возвыси крепостию глас твой, благовествуяй Иерусалиму: возвысите, не бойтеся. Рцы градом Иудиным:
O Zion, that bringest good tidings, go up upon the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say to the cities of Judah, Behold your God!
10 се, Бог ваш, се, Господь, Господь со крепостию идет, и мышца Его со властию: се, мзда Его с Ним, и дело Его пред Ним:
Behold, the Lord GOD will come with strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.
11 аки пастырь упасет паству Свою, и мышцею Своею соберет агнцы, и имущыя во утробе утешит.
He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.
12 Кто измери горстию воду и небо пядию и всю землю горстию? Кто постави горы в мериле и холмы в весе?
Who hath comprehended the waters in the hollow of his hand, and measured heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?
13 Кто уразуме ум Господень, и кто советник Ему бысть, иже научает Его?
Who hath directed the Spirit of the LORD, or being his counsellor hath taught him?
14 Или с ким советова, и настави И? Или кто показа Ему суд? Или путь разумения кто показа Ему? Или кто прежде даде Ему, и воздастся Ему?
With whom took he counsel, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of judgment, and taught him knowledge, and showed to him the way of understanding?
15 Аще вси языцы, аки капля от кади, и яко претяжение веса вменишася, и аки плюновение вменятся?
Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance: behold, he taketh up the isles as a very little thing.
16 Дубрава же Ливанова не доволна на сожжение, и вся четвероногая не доволна на всесожжение.
And Lebanon is not sufficient to burn, nor its beasts sufficient for a burnt offering.
17 И вси языцы яко ничтоже суть, и в ничтоже вменишася.
All nations before him are as nothing; and they are counted to him less than nothing, and vanity.
18 Кому уподобисте Господа, и коему подобию уподобисте Его?
To whom then will ye liken God? or what likeness will ye compare him to?
19 Еда образ сотвори древоделатель, или златарь слияв злато позлати его, или подобием сотвори его?
The workman casteth a graven image, and the goldsmith spreadeth it over with gold, and casteth silver chains.
20 Древо бо негниющее избирает древоделатель и мудре ищет, како поставит образ его, и да не поколеблется.
He that is so impoverished that he hath no oblation chooseth a tree that will not rot; he seeketh for himself a skilful workman to prepare a graven image, that shall not be moved.
21 Не разуместе ли, не слышасте ли, не возвестися ли вам исперва? Не разуместе ли основания земли?
Have ye not known? have ye not heard? hath it not been told you from the beginning? have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth?
22 Содержай круг земли, и живущии на ней аки прузи: поставивый небо яко камару и простер е, яко скинию обитати:
It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:
23 даяй князи аки ничтоже владети, и землю аки ничтоже сотвори.
That bringeth the princes to nothing; he maketh the judges of the earth as vanity.
24 Не насадят бо, ниже насеют, и не вкоренится в земли корение их: дхну на них ветр, и изсхоша, и буря аки стеблие возмет их.
Yea, they shall not be planted; yea, they shall not be sown: yea, their stock shall not take root in the earth: and he shall also blow upon them, and they shall wither, and the whirlwind shall take them away as stubble.
25 Ныне убо кому Мя уподобисте, и вознесуся? Рече Святый.
To whom then will ye liken me, or to whom shall I be equal? saith the Holy One.
26 Воззрите на высоту очима вашима и видите, кто сотвори сия вся: носяй по числу утварь Свою, и вся по имени прозовет от многия славы и в державе крепости Своея: ничтоже утаися и Тебе.
Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth.
27 Еда бо речеши, Иакове, и что глаголал еси, Израилю: утаися путь мой от Бога, и Бог мой суд отя, и отступи?
Why sayest thou, O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel, My way is hid from the LORD, and my judgment is passed over by my God?
28 И ныне не уразумел ли еси ни ли слышал еси? Бог вечный, Бог устроивый концы земли, не взалчет, ниже утрудится, ниже есть изобретение премудрости Его,
Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.
29 даяй алчущым крепость и неболезненным печаль.
He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
30 Взалчут бо юнейшии, и утрудятся юноты, и избраннии не крепцы будут:
Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:
31 терпящии же Господа изменят крепость, окрылатеют аки орли, потекут и не утрудятся, пойдут и не взалчут.
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint.
