1 И рече Господь Авраму: изыди от земли твоея, и от рода твоего, и от дому отца твоего, и иди в землю, юже ти покажу:
Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and out of thy birthplace, and from thy father's house, unto the land that I will show thee.
2 и сотворю тя в язык велий, и благословлю тя, и возвеличу имя твое, и будеши благословен:
And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
3 и благословлю благословящыя тя, и кленушыя тя проклену: и благословятся о тебе вся племена земная.
And I will bless those that bless thee, and him that curseth thee, will I curse; and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
4 И иде Аврам, якоже глагола ему Господь, и идяше с ним Лот: Аврам же бе лет седмидесяти пяти, егда изыде от (земли) Харран.
So Abram departed, as the Lord had spoken unto him, and Lot went with him; and Abram was seventy and five years old at his departure out of Charan.
5 И поят Аврам Сару жену свою, и Лота сына брата своего, и вся имения своя, елика стяжаша, и всякую душу, юже стяжаша в Харране: и изыдоша поити в землю Ханааню.
And Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother's son, and all their substance that they had acquired, and the persons that they had obtained in Charan; and they went forth to go into the land of Canaan; and they came into the land of Canaan.
6 И пройде Аврам землю в долготу ея даже до места Сихем, до дуба Высокаго: Хананее же тогда живяху на земли (той).
And Abram passed through the land unto the place of Shechem, unto the plain of Moreh; and the Canaanite was then in the land.
7 И явися Господь Авраму и рече ему: семени твоему дам землю сию. И созда тамо Аврам жертвенник Господу явльшемуся ему.
And the Lord appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto thy seed will I give this land. And he built there an altar unto the Lord, who had appeared unto him.
8 И отступи оттуду в гору на восток (лицем) прямо Вефилю, и постави тамо кущу свою в Вефили при мори, и Агге к востоком: и созда тамо жертвенник Господу, и призва во имя Господа (явльшася ему).
And he removed from there unto the mountain on the east of Beth-el, and pitched his tent, having Beth-el on the west, and 'Ai on the east; and he built there an altar unto the Lord, and called upon the name of the Lord.
9 И воздвижеся Аврам, и шед ополчися в пустыни.
And Abram journeyed farther, still going on toward the south.
10 И бысть глад на земли: и сниде Аврам во Египет вселитися тамо, яко одоле глад на земли.
And there arose a famine in the land: and Abram went down into Egypt to sojourn there; for the famine was grievous in the land.
11 Бысть же егда приближися Аврам внити во Египет, рече Аврам Саре жене своей: вем аз, яко жена добролична еси:
And it came to pass, when he was come near to enter into Egypt, that he said unto Sarai his wife, Behold now, I know that thou art a woman of handsome appearance:
12 будет убо егда увидят тя Египтяне, рекут, яко жена его есть сия: и убиют мя, тебе же снабдят:
And it may come to pass, when the Egyptians shall see thee, that they will say, This is his wife; and they may kill me, but thee they will save alive.
13 рцы убо, яко сестра ему есмь, да добро мне будет тебе ради, и будет жива душа моя тебе ради.
Say then, I pray thee, thou art my sister, that it may go well with me for thy sake, and my soul live because of thee.
14 Бысть же егда вниде Аврам во Египет, видевше Египтяне жену его, яко добра бяше зело,
And it came to pass, when Abram was come into Egypt, that the Egyptians beheld the woman that she was very fair.
15 и видеша ю князи фараони и похвалиша ю пред фараоном, и введоша ю в дом фараонов.
The princes also of Pharaoh saw her, and commended her to Pharaoh; and the woman was taken into Pharaoh's house.
16 И Авраму добре бяше ея ради: и быша ему овцы и телцы и ослы, и рабы и рабыни, и мски и велблюды.
And he did well to Abram for her sake; and he received sheep, and oxen, and he-asses, and men-servants, and maid-servants, and she-asses, and camels.
17 И мучи Господь казньми великими и лютыми фараона и дом его Сары ради жены Аврамли.
But the Lord plagued Pharaoh and his house with great plagues because of Sarai, Abram's wife.
18 Призвав же фараон Аврама, рече ему: что сие сотворил еси мне, яко не поведал ми еси, яко жена твоя есть?
And Pharaoh called Abram, and said, What is this thou hast done unto me? Why didst thou not tell me that she is thy wife?
19 Вскую рекл еси, яко сестра ми есть? И поях ю себе в жену. И ныне се, жена твоя пред тобою: поемь ю отиди.
Why saidst thou, She is my sister? and so I took her to me for a wife; now, therefore, behold, here is thy wife, take her, and go thy way.
20 И заповеда фараон мужем о Авраме, проводити его и жену его, и вся, елика быша его, и Лота с ним.
And Pharaoh commanded some men concerning him, who accompanied him and his wife, and all that he had.
