Книга Ездры 10
1 И егда моляшеся Ездра и егда исповедашеся плачущь и моляся пред домом Божиим, собрашася к нему от Израиля собрание велие зело, мужие и жены и отроцы яко плакахуся людие и вознесоша плачь.
And while Ezra prayed, and made confession, weeping and falling down before the house of God, there were gathered to him out of Israel a very great congregation of men and women and children; for the people wept very much.
2 И отвеща Сехениа сын Иеилев от сынов Иламлих и рече Ездре: мы преступихом пред Богом нашим и пояхом жены чуждия от людий земли, и ныне есть упование Израилю о сем:
And Shechaniah the son of Jehiel, of the sons of Elam, answered and said to Ezra, We have acted unfaithfully toward our God, and have taken foreign wives of the peoples of the land; yet now there is hope for Israel concerning this thing.
3 и ныне завещаем завет Богу нашему, да отвержем вся жены и рожденых от них, якоже хощет: востани и устраши их заповедьми Бога нашего, и по закону да будет:
And now let us make a covenant with our God to put away all the wives, and such as are born of them, according to the counsel of [my] lord, and of those that tremble at the commandments of our God; and let it be done according to the law.
4 востани, понеже на тебе есть глагол, и мы с тобою: укрепися и сотвори.
Arise, for this matter is incumbent on thee, and we will be with thee: be of good courage, and do [it].
5 И воста Ездра, и закля князи, священники и левиты и всего Израиля, да сотворят по словеси сему. И кляшася.
Then Ezra arose, and made the chiefs of the priests, of the Levites, and of all Israel, to swear that they would do according to this word. And they swore.
6 И воста Ездра от лица дому Божия и иде в сокровищный дом Ионана сына Елисувова и седе тамо: хлеба не яде и воды не пи, плакаше бо о преступлении пришедших от пленения.
And Ezra arose from before the house of God, and went into the chamber of Jehohanan the son of Eliashib; and when he came thither, he ate no bread and drank no water; for he mourned because of the unfaithfulness of them that had been carried away.
7 И послано бысть слово во Иудею и во Иерусалим всем сыновом преселения, да соберутся во Иерусалим:
And they made proclamation in Judah and Jerusalem to all the children of the captivity, that they should gather themselves together unto Jerusalem;
8 всяк, иже аще не приидет в три дни, по совету князей и старейшин, возмется все имение его, и той отлучен будет от сонмища преселения.
and that whosoever would not come within three days, according to the counsel of the princes and the elders, all his substance should be confiscated, and himself separated from the congregation of those that had been carried away.
9 И собрашася вси мужие Иудины и Вениамини во Иерусалим треми денми: сей есть месяц девятый: в двадесятый день месяца седоша вси людие пред домом Божиим трепещуще о словеси и от зимы.
Then were all the men of Judah and Benjamin gathered together at Jerusalem within three days. It was the ninth month, on the twentieth of the month; and all the people sat in the open space of the house of God, trembling because of the matter, and because of the pouring rain.
10 И воста Ездра священник и рече к ним: вы преступисте и взясте жены иноплеменнически, еже приложити ко греху Израилеву:
And Ezra the priest stood up and said to them, Ye have acted unfaithfully, and have taken foreign wives, to increase the trespass of Israel.
11 и ныне дадите хвалу Господу Богу отец наших, и сотворите угодное пред Ним, и отлучитеся от людий земли и от жен иноплеменнических.
And now make confession to Jehovah the God of your fathers, and do his pleasure, and separate yourselves from the peoples of the land, and from the foreign wives.
12 И отвещаша все множество гласом великим и реша: по словеси твоему к нам сотворим:
And the whole congregation answered and said with a loud voice, Yes, it is for us to do according to thy words.
13 обаче людие мнози суть, и время зимнее, и несть мощно стояти вне: и дело несть дне единаго или двух, зело бо много согрешихом во словеси сем:
But the people are many, and it is a time of pouring rain, and it is not possible to stand without: neither is this a work for one day or two; for we are many that have transgressed in this thing.
14 да поставятся князие наши во всем множестве и во всех градех наших, иже пояша жены иноплеменничи, да приидут во времена повеленная, и с ними старейшины от всякаго града и судии, еже отвратити гнев ярости Бога нашего от нас словесе ради сего.
Let now our princes, while this matter is going on, stand for all the congregation, and let all those that have taken foreign wives in our cities come at the appointed times, and with them the elders of every city, and the judges thereof, until the fierce anger of our God be turned from us.
15 Обаче Ионафан сын Асаилев и Иасса сын Фекуев со мною о сем, и Месоллам и Савафай левитин помагаяй им.
Only Jonathan the son of Asahel and Jahzeiah the son of Tikvah stood up against this; and Meshullam and Shabbethai the Levite helped them.
16 И сотвориша тако сынове преселения: и разыдошася Ездра священник и мужие князие отечеств в домы, и вси по именом, яко обратишася в день первый месяца десятаго, да взыщут глагола:
And the children of the captivity did so. And Ezra the priest [and] certain of the chief fathers were separated according to their fathers' houses, and all of them [expressed] by name; and they sat down on the first day of the tenth month to examine the matter.
17 и совершиша во всех мужех, иже пояша жены иноплеменничи, даже до дне перваго месяца перваго.
And they ended with all the men that had taken foreign wives by the first day of the first month.
18 И обретени суть от сынов священнических иже введоша жены иноплеменничи, от сынов Иисуса сына Иоседекова и братия его Маасиа и Елиезер, и Иарим и Гадалиа:
And among the sons of the priests there were found that had taken foreign wives, of the sons of Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and his brethren: Maaseiah, and Eliezer, and Jarib, and Gedaliah.
19 и даша руки своя изгонити жены своя, и согрешившии принесоша от овец о преступлении своем овна:
And they gave their hand to send away their wives; and they offered a ram of the flock, as trespass-offering for their guilt.
20 и от сынов Еммировых Ананий и Завдиа:
And of the children of Immer: Hanani, and Zebadiah.
21 и от сынов Ирамлих Маасиа и Еллиа, и Самиа и Иеиил и Озиа:
And of the children of Harim: Maaseiah, and Elijah, and Shemaiah, and Jehiel, and Uzziah.
22 и от сынов Фассуровых Елиоинай, Маасиа и Исмаил, и Нафанаель и Иозавад и Иласа:
And of the children of Pashhur: Elioenai, Maaseiah, Ishmael, Nethaneel, Jozabad, and Elasah.
23 и от левитов Иозавад и Фамуй и Колиа, тойже и Колит, и Фефеиа, и Иуда и Елиезер:
And of the Levites: Jozabad, and Shimei, and Kelaiah (that is, Kelita), Pethahiah, Judah, and Eliezer.
24 и от певцев Елисав: и от дверник Солмин и Телмин и Одуа:
And of the singers: Eliashib. And of the doorkeepers: Shallum, and Telem, and Uri.
25 и от Израиля, от сынов Форосовых Рамиа и Азиа, и Мелхиа и Мелмин, и Елиазар и Асавиа и Ванеа:
And of Israel; of the children of Parosh: Ramiah, and Jizzijah, and Malchijah, and Mijamin, and Eleazar, and Malchijah, and Benaiah.
26 и от сынов Иламовых Матфаниа и Захариа, и Иаиил и Авдий, и Иеримоф и Илиа:
And of the children of Elam: Mattaniah, Zechariah, and Jehiel, and Abdi, and Jeremoth, and Elijah.
27 и от сынов Зафуевых Елионай, Елисув, Мафанай и Армоф, и Завад и Озиза:
And of the children of Zattu: Elioenai, Eliashib, Mattaniah, and Jeremoth, and Zabad, and Aziza.
28 и от сынов Вавеиных Ионан, Ананиа и Завуй и Фали:
And of the children of Bebai: Jehohanan, Hananiah, Zabbai, Athlai.
29 и от сынов Вануевых Мосоллам, Маллух, Адаиа, Иасув и Саал и Римоф:
And of the children of Bani: Meshullam, Malluch, and Adaiah, Jashub, and Sheal, and Ramoth.
30 и от сынов Фааф-Моавлих Еднеа и Халил и Ванаиа, Маасиа, Матфаниа, Веселеил и Вануй и Манассии:
And of the children of Pahath-Moab: Adna, and Chelal, Benaiah, Maaseiah, Mattaniah, Bezaleel, and Binnui, and Manasseh.
31 и от сынов Ирамовых Елиезер, Иесиа, Мелхиа, Самаиа, Семеон,
And the children of Harim: Eliezer, Jishijah, Malchijah, Shemaiah, Simeon,
32 Вениамин, Малух, Самариа:
Benjamin, Malluch, Shemariah.
33 и от сынов Асимовых Метфанаиа, Мафафа, Завад, Елифалет, Иерами Манассий, Семей:
Of the children of Hashum: Mattenai, Mattattah, Zabad, Eliphelet, Jeremai, Manasseh, Shimei.
34 и от сынов Ванииных Моодиа, Амрам и Уил,
Of the sons of Bani: Maadai, Amram, and Uel,
35 Ванаиа, Вадаиа, Хелиа,
Benaiah, Bediah, Cheluhu,
36 Уаниа, Маримоф и Елиасив,
Vaniah, Meremoth, Eliashib,
37 Матфаниа Мафанай.
Mattaniah, Mattenai, and Jaasai,
38 И сотвориша сынове Вануиевы и сынове Семеины,
and Bani, and Binnui, Shimei,
39 и Салемиа и Нафан и Адаиа,
and Shelemiah, and Nathan, and Adaiah,
40 Махнада, Авусесей,
Machnadbai, Shashai, Sharai,
41 Аруесриил и Самариа,
Azareel, and Shelemiah, Shemariah,
42 Селлум, Амариа, Иосиф:
Shallum, Amariah, Joseph.
43 от сынов Навуиных Иеиил, Мафафиа, Завад, Зевенай, Иадай и Иоиль и Ванеа.
Of the children of Nebo: Jeiel, Mattithiah, Zabad, Zebina, Jaddai, and Joel, Benaiah.
44 Вси тии пояша жены иноплеменнически, и родиша от них сыны.
All these had taken foreign wives; and there were among them wives who had had children.
