Книга Екклезиаста 7
1 Благо имя паче елеа блага, и день смертный паче дня рождения его.

2 Благо ходити в дом плача, нежели ходити в дом пира, понеже сие конец всякому человеку, и живый даст благо в сердцы его.

3 Блага ярость паче смеха, яко во злобе лица ублажится сердце.

4 Сердце мудрых в дому плача, а сердце безумных в дому веселия.
heart wise in/on/with house: home mourning and heart fool in/on/with house: home joy
5 Благо еже слышати прещение премудра, паче мужа слышащаго песнь безумных:
pleasant to/for to hear: hear rebuke wise from man: anyone to hear: hear song fool
6 якоже глас терния под котлом, тако смех безумных. И сие суета.

7 Яко клевета льстит мудраго и погубляет сердце благородствия его.

8 Блага последняя словес паче начала его: благ терпеливый паче высокаго духом.

9 Не тщися в дусе своем яритися, яко ярость в недре безумных почиет.

10 Да не речеши: что бысть, яко дние прежднии беша блази паче сих? Яко не в мудрости вопросил еси о сем.

11 Блага мудрость с наследием, паче же видящым солнце:
pleasant wisdom with inheritance and advantage to/for to see: see [the] sun
12 яко в сени его мудрость, якоже сень сребра, и изюбилие разума премудрости оживляет, иже от нея.

13 Виждь творения Божия: яко кто может украсити, егоже аще Бог превратит?

14 В день благостыни (Его) живи во блазе и виждь в день зла: виждь, и с ним согласно сие сотвори Бог, о глаголании, да не обрящет человек за Ним ничтоже.

15 Всяческая видех во днех суетствия моего: есть праведный погибаяй во своей правде, и есть нечестивый пребываяй во своей злобе.

16 Не буди правдив вельми, ни мудрися излишше, да не когда изумишися.

17 Не нечествуй много и не буди жесток, да не умреши не во время свое.

18 Благо ти есть держатися сего, и от сего не оскверни руки твоея, яко боящымся Бога поспешатся вся.

19 Премудрость поможет мудрому паче десяти обладающих во граде:

20 яко несть человек праведен на земли, иже сотворит благое и не согрешит.
for man nothing righteous in/on/with land: country/planet which to make: do good and not to sin
21 И во вся словеса, яже возглаголют нечестивии, не вложи сердца своего, да не услышиши раба своего кленуща тебе:

22 яко многажды возлукавнует на тя, и обхождении многими озлобит сердце твое, якоже и ты клял еси иныя (многия).

23 Вся сия искусих в мудрости: рех, умудрюся: и сия удалися от мене

24 далече паче неже бех, и бездны глубина, кто обрящет ю?

25 Обыдох аз, и сердце мое, еже разумети, еже разсмотрити, и еже взыскати мудрость и разум, и еже разумети нечестиваго безумие и ожесточение и лесть:

26 и обретох аз ю, и реку горчайшу паче смерти жену, яже есть ловитва, и сети сердце ея, узы в руку ея: благий пред лицем Божиим изимется от нея, а согрешаяй ят будет от нея.

27 Се, сие обретох, рече Екклесиаст: едину единою еже обрести помысл, еже взыска душа моя, и не обретох:

28 и человека единаго от тысящ обретох, а жены во всех сих не обретох:

29 обаче се, сие обретох, еже сотвори Бог человека праваго, и сии взыскаша помыслов многих.
