Второзаконие 8
1 Вся заповеди, яже аз заповедаю вам днесь, снабдите творити, да живете, и умножитеся, и внидете, и наследите землю благую, еюже клятся Господь Бог отцем вашым.
All the commandment which I command thee this day shall ye observe to do, that ye may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers.
2 И да помянеши весь путь, имже проведе тебе Господь Бог твой, сие четыредесятое лето в пустыни, да искусит тя и озлобит тя, и уразумеются яже в сердцы твоем, аще сохраниши заповеди Его или ни.
And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God hath led thee these forty years in the wilderness, that he might humble thee, to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no.
3 И озлоби тя, и гладом замори тя, и напита тя манною, еяже ты не уведел еси, ни отцы твои: да возвестит тебе, яко не от хлебе единем жив будет человек, но о всяком словеси исходящем из уст Божиих жив будет человек.
And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every thing that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.
4 Ризы твоя не обетшаша на тебе: нозе твои не язвишася, се, четыредесять лет.
Thy raiment waxed not old upon thee, neither did thy foot swell, these forty years.
5 И уразумееши сердцем твоим, яко имже образом аще кий человек накажет сына своего, тако Господь Бог твой накажет тя.
And thou shalt consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so the LORD thy God chasteneth thee.
6 И сохраниши заповеди Господа Бога твоего ходити в путех Его и боятися Его.
And thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him.
7 Господь бо Бог твой введет тя в землю благую и многу, идеже водотечи водныя и источники бездны исходящыя по полям и горам,
For the LORD thy God bringeth thee into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and depths, springing forth in valleys and hills;
8 в землю пшеницы и ячменя, (идеже) виногради, смокви и щипцы, в землю масличия елеа и меда:
a land of wheat and barley, and vines and fig trees and pomegranates; a land of oil olives and honey;
9 в землю на нейже не с нищетою снеси хлеб твой, и ничесого востребуеши на ней: в землю в нейже камение железно, и от гор ея ископаеши медь:
a land wherein thou shalt eat bread without scarceness, thou shalt not lack any thing in it; a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills thou mayest dig brass.
10 и ясти будеши, и насытишися, и благословиши Господа Бога твоего на земли блазей, юже даде тебе.
And thou shalt eat and be full, and thou shalt bless the LORD thy God for the good land which he hath given thee.
11 Вонми себе, не забуди Господа Бога твоего, еже не сохранити заповеди Его и судбы и оправдания Его, елика аз заповедаю тебе днесь:
Beware lest thou forget the LORD thy God, in not keeping his commandments, and his judgments, and his statutes, which I command thee this day:
12 да не когда ядый и насытився, и домы добры соградив и вселився в ня,
lest when thou hast eaten and art full, and hast built goodly houses, and dwelt therein;
13 и волом твоим и овцам твоим умножившымся тебе, сребру и злату умножившымся тебе, и всем, елика тебе будут, умножившымся тебе,
and when thy herds and thy flocks multiply, and thy silver and thy gold is multiplied, and all that thou hast is multiplied;
14 вознесешися сердцем твоим, и забудеши Господа Бога твоего, изведшаго тя из земли Египетския, из дому работы:
then thine heart be lifted up, and thou forget the LORD thy God, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage;
15 проведшаго тя сквозе пустыню великую и страшную ону, в нейже змии угрызающыя, и скорпии, и жажда, в нейже не бяше воды: изведшаго тебе из камене несекома источник водный:
who led thee through the great and terrible wilderness, [wherein were] fiery serpents and scorpions, and thirsty ground where was no water; who brought thee forth water out of the rock of flint;
16 питавшаго тя манною в пустыни, еяже не ведел еси ты, ниже ведяху отцы твои, да озлобит тя и да искусит тя, и благо тебе сотворит на последок твой:
who fed thee in the wilderness with manna, which thy fathers knew not; that he might humble thee, and that he might prove thee, to do thee good at thy latter end:
17 да не речеши в сердцы твоем: крепость моя и сила руки моея сотвори мне силу великую сию,
and thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth.
18 и помянеши Господа Бога твоего, яко Той даде тебе крепость, еже сотворити силу, и да уставит завет Свой, имже клятся отцем твоим, якоже днесь.
But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God, for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth; that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as at this day.
19 И будет аще забвением забудеши Господа Бога твоего, и пойдеши вслед богов иных, и послужиши им, и поклонишися им, засвидетелствую вам днесь небесем и землею, яко пагубою погибнете:
And it shall be, if thou shalt forget the LORD thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish.
20 якоже и прочии языцы, яже Господь Бог погубляет от лица вашего, тако погибнете, занеже не послушасте гласа Господа Бога вашего.
As the nations which the LORD maketh to perish before you, so shall ye perish; because ye would not hearken unto the voice of the LORD your God.
