Второзаконие 19
1 Егда же погубит Господь Бог твой языки, ихже Господь Бог твой дает тебе землю, и наследиши их и вселишися во градех их и в домех их,
When the Lord thy God shall roote out the nations, whose lande the Lord thy God giueth thee, and thou shalt possesse them, and dwell in their cities, and in their houses,
2 три грады да отлучиши себе среди земли твоея, юже Господь Бог твой дает тебе в наследие.
Thou shalt separate three cities for thee in the middes of thy lande which the Lord thy God giueth thee to possesse it.
3 Уготови себе путь, и на трое раздели пределы земли твоея, юже разделяет тебе Господь Бог твой: и да будет убежище тамо всякому убийце.
Thou shalt prepare thee the way, and deuide the coastes of the land, which the Lord thy God giueth thee to inherite, into three parts, that euery manslayer may flee thither.
4 Сие же да будет заповедание убийце, иже аще убежит тамо, и жив будет: иже аще убиет ближняго своего не ведя, и сей не ненавиде его прежде вчерашняго дне и третияго,
This also is ye cause wherfore the manslayer shall flee thither, and liue: who so killeth his neighbor ignorantly, and hated him not in time passed:
5 и иже аще пойдет с подругом своим в лес собирати дрова, и поползнется рука его с секирою секущаго дрова, и спадши секира с топорища улучит подруга его, и умрет, сей да убежит во един от градов сих, и жив да будет:
As hee that goeth vnto the wood with his neighbor to hew wood, and his hand striketh with the axe to cut downe the tree, if the head slip from the helue, and hit his neighbour that he dieth, the same shall flee vnto one of the cities, and liue,
6 да не погнав ужик крове вслед убившаго, яко разгорится сердце ему, и постигнет его, аще должайший будет путь, и убиет душу его, и умрет: и сему несть суд смертный, понеже не бе ненавидя его прежде вчерашняго и третияо дне:
Least the auenger of the blood follow after the manslayer, while his heart is chafed, and ouertake him, because the way is long, and slaie him, although he be not worthy of death, because he hated him not in time passed.
7 сего ради заповедаю аз тебе слово сие, глаголя: три грады да отлучиши себе.
Wherefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt appoint out three cities for thee.
8 Аще же разширит Господь Бог твой пределы твоя, якоже клятся отцем твоим, и даст тебе Господь всю землю, юже рече дати отцем твоим,
And when the Lord thy God enlargeth thy coastes (as he hath sworne vnto thy fathers) and giueth thee all the lande which he promised to giue vnto thy fathers,
9 аще послушаеши творити вся заповеди сия, яже аз заповедаю тебе днесь, любити Господа Бога твоего, ходити во всех путех Его вся дни: и да приложиши себе еще три грады к сим трием градом,
(If thou keepe all these commandements to doe them, which I commaund thee this day: to wit, that thou loue the Lord thy God, and walke in his waies for euer) then shalt thou adde three cities moe for thee besides those three,
10 и да не пролиется кровь безвинна в земли твоей, юже Господь Бог твой дает тебе в жребий, и да не будет в тебе крови повинен.
That innocent bloude be not shed within thy land, which the Lord thy God giueth thee to inherite, lest bloud be vpon thee.
11 Аще же будет у тебе человек ненавидяй ближняго своего, и навет сотворит нань, и востанет нань, и поразит душу его, и умрет, и вбегнет во един от градов сих,
But if a man hate his neighbour, and lay waite for him, and rise against him, and smite any man that he die, and flee vnto any of these cities,
12 да послют старейшины града того, и возмут его оттуду, и да предадят его в руце ужиков крове, и да умрет:
Then the Elders of his citie shall send and set him thence, and deliuer him into the hands of the auenger of the blood, that he may die.
13 да не пощадит его око твое, и да очистиши кровь неповинную от Израиля, и благо будет тебе.
Thine eye shall not spare him, but thou shalt put away the crie of innocent blood from Israel, that it may goe well with thee.
14 Да не предвижеши пределов ближняго своего, яже поставиша отцы твои в наследии твоем, еже наследовал еси в земли, юже Господь Бог твой дает тебе во жребий.
Thou shalt not remooue thy neighbours marke, which they of olde time haue set in thine inheritance, that thou shalt inherite in the lande, which ye Lord thy God giueth thee to possesse it.
15 Да не пребудет свидетель един во свидетелство на человека по всякой обиде и по всякому преступлению и по всякому греху, имже аще согрешит: при устех двою свидетелей и при устех триех свидетелей да станет всяк глагол.
One witnes shall not rise against a man for any trespasse, or for any sinne, or for any fault that hee offendeth in, but at the mouth of two witnesses or at the mouth of three witnesses shall the matter be stablished.
16 Аще же востанет свидетель неправеден на человека, глаголя на него нечестие,
If a false witnesse rise vp against a man to accuse him of trespasse,
17 да станут оба человека, имже есть пря, пред Господем и пред жерцы и пред судиями, иже будут в тыя дни,
Then both the men which striue together, shall stand before ye Lord, euen before the Priests and the Iudges, which shall be in those daies,
18 и да испытают их судии прилежно, и се, свидетель неправеден свидетелствова неправду, воста на брата своего:
And the Iudges shall make diligent inquisition: and if the witnesse be found false, and hath giuen false witnes against his brother,
19 да сотворите ему, якоже и он умысли сотворити супротив брата своего, и измите злое от вас самех:
Then shall yee doe vnto him as hee had thought to doe vnto his brother: so thou shalt take euil away forth of the middes of thee.
20 да и прочии услышавше убоятся, и не приложат ктому творити словесе злаго сего в вас:
And the rest shall heare this, and feare, and shall henceforth commit no more any such wickednes among you.
21 да не пощадит его око твое: душу за душу, око за око, зуб за зуб, руку за руку, ногу за ногу, якоже аще кто даст порок на ближняго своего, сице воздастся ему.
Therefore thine eye shall have no compassion, but life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foote for foote.
