Вторая книга Паралипоменон 34
1 Осми лет бысть Иосиа, егда царствовати нача, и тридесять едино лето царствова во Иерусалиме,
Josias was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned one and thirty years in Jerusalem.
2 и сотвори правое пред Господем, и ходи в путех Давида отца своего, и не уклонися ни на десно, ни на лево.
And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, and walked in the ways of David his father: he declined not, neither to the right hand, nor to the left.
3 И во осмое лето царства своего, и той еще сый отрок, нача взыскати Господа Бога отца своего Давида: и во второенадесять лето царства своего нача очищати Иудею и Иерусалим от высоких и лесов, и от капищ и от истуканных.
And in the eighth year of his reign, when he was yet a boy, he began to seek the God of his father David: and in the twelfth year after he began to reign, he cleansed Juda and Jerusalem from the high places, and the groves, and the idols, and the graven things.
4 И разориша пред лицем его олтари Ваалимли, и высокая, яже на них: и посече дубравы и истуканныя, и слиянная сокруши и истни, и растопи и поверже пред лицем гробов жрущих им:
And they broke down before him the altars of Baalim, and demolished the idols that had been set upon them: and be cut down the groves and the graven things, and broke them in pieces: and strewed the fragments upon the graves of them that had sacrificed to them.
5 и кости жерцев сожже на олтарех их, и очисти Иуду и Иерусалим,
And he burnt the bones of the priests on the altars of the idols, and he cleansed Juda and Jerusalem.
6 и во градех Манассииных и Ефремлих и Симеоних даже до Неффалима, и в местех их окрест:
And in the cities of Manasses, and of Ephraim, and of Simeon, even to Nephtali he demolished all.
7 и олтари размета и лесы, и идолы разсече в частицы, и вся высокая изсече от всея земли Израилевы, и возвратися во Иерусалим.
And when he had destroyed the altars, and the groves, and had broken the idols in pieces, and had demolished all profane temples throughout all the land of Israel, he returned to Jerusalem.
8 И во осмоенадесять лето царства своего, егда очищена бысть земля и церковь Господня, посла Сафана сына Еселиева и Амесию началника града и Иоаса сына Иоахазова памятописца своего, да утвердят дом Господа Бога своего.
Now in the eighteenth year of his reign, when he had cleansed the land, and the temple of the Lord, he sent Saphan the son of Eselias, and Maasias the governor of the city, Joha the son of Joachaz the recorder, to repair the house of the Lord his God.
9 И приидоша ко Хелкии священнику великому, и даша сребро принесенное в дом Господень, еже собраша левити хранящии дверь от руки Манассиины и Ефремли, и от началников и от всех прочих во Израили, и от сынов Иудиных и Вениаминих и обитающих во Иерусалиме,
And they came to Helcias the high priest: and received of him the money which had been brought into the house of the Lord, and which the Levites and porters had gathered together from Manasses, and Ephraim, and all the remnant of Israel, and from all Juda, and Benjamin, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem,
10 и даша оное в руце творящих дела, приставницы в дому Господни, и даша е творящым дела, иже творяху в дому Господни да, обновят и укрепят храм:
Which they delivered into the hands of them that were over the workmen in the house of the Lord, to repair the temple, and mend all that was weak.
11 и даша тектоном и домоздателем, да купят камение четвероуголное и древа на бервна на покрытие домов, ихже разориша царие Иудины.
But they gave it to the artificers, and to the masons, to buy stones out of the quarries, and timber for the couplings of the building, and to rafter the houses, which the kings of Juda had destroyed.
12 И мужие верно творяху в делех, и над ними надзирателе Иеф и Авдиа левити от сынов Мерариных, и Захариа и Мосоллам от сынов Каафовых надзирати, и всяк левитин, и всяк знаяй во органы пети:
And they did all faithfully. Now the overseers of the workmen were Jahath and Abdias of the sons of Merari, Zacharias and Mosollam of the sons of Caath, who hastened the work: all Levites skillful to play on instruments.
13 и над носящими бремена и над всеми творящими дела, всяким деланием: и от левит беша писареве и судии и дверницы.
But over them that carried burdens for divers uses, were scribes, and masters of the number of the Levites, and porters.
14 И внегда износити им сребро принесенное в церковь Господню, обрете Хелкиа священник книгу закона Господня, (яже дана бысть) рукою Моисеовою.
Now when they carried out the money that had been brought into the temple of the Lord, Helcias the priest found the book of the law of the Lord, by the hand of Moses.
15 И отвеща Хелкиа и рече к Сафану писарю: книгу закона обретох в дому Господни. И даде Хелкиа книгу Сафану.
And he said to Saphan the scribe: I have found the book of the law in the house of the Lord: and he delivered it to him.
16 И принесе Сафан книгу ко царю, и возвести еще ко царю слово, глаголя: все сребро дано в руки рабов твоих творящих дела:
But he carried the book to the king, and told him, saying: Lo, all that thou hast committed to thy servants, is accomplished.
17 и слияша сребро обретенное в дому Господни, и даша в руки надзирателей и в руки творящих дело.
They have gathered together the silver that was found in the house of the Lord: and it is given to the overseers of the artificers, and of the workmen, for divers works.
18 И возвести Сафан писарь слово царю, глаголя: книгу даде ми Хелкиа священник. И прочте ю Сафан пред царем.
Moreover Helcias the priest gave me this book. And he read it before the king.
19 И бысть егда услыша царь словеса закона, и растерза ризы своя.
And when he had heard the words of the law, he rent his garments:
20 И повеле царь Хелкиеви и Ахикаму сыну Сафанову и Авдону сыну Михееву, и Сафану писарю и Асаию рабу цареву, глаголя:
And he commanded Helcias, and Ahicam the son of Saphan, and Abdon the son of Micha, and Saphan the scribe, and Asaa the king’s servant, saying:
21 идите и молитеся Господу за мя и за всякаго оставшагося во Израили и Иуде, о словесех книги, яже обретена есть, велик бо гнев Господень разгореся на нас, понеже не послушаша отцы наши словес Господних, еже творити по всем написанным в книзе сей.
Go, and pray to the Lord for me, and for the remnant of Israel, and Juda, concerning all the words of this book, which is found: for the great wrath of the Lord hath fallen upon us, because our fathers have not kept the words of the Lord, to do all things that are written in this book.
22 И иде Хелкиа, и имже повеле царь, ко Олдане пророчице, жене Селлима сына Фекуева, сына Есерии ризохранителя, хранящей заповеди, яже обиташе во Иерусалиме в масане, и глаголаша ей по сим.
And Helcias and they that were sent with him by the king, went to Olda the prophetess, the wife of Sellum the son of Thecuath, the son of Hasra keeper of the wardrobe: who dwelt in Jerusalem in the Second part: and they spoke to her the words above mentioned.
23 И та отвеща им: сия рече Господь Бог Израилев: глаголите мужу, иже посла вас ко мне: сия рече Господь:
And she answered them: Thus saith the Lord the God of Israel: Tell the man that sent you to me:
24 се, Аз наведу злая на место сие и на обитающих в нем вся словеса, яже писана суть в книзе прочтенней пред царем Иудиным,
Thus saith the Lord: Behold I will bring evils upon this place, and upon the inhabitants thereof, and all the curses that are written in this book which they read before the king of Juda.
25 зане оставиша Мя и кадяху богом чуждим, да прогневают Мя во всех делех рук своих: и разгореся ярость Моя на место сие и не угасится:
Because they have forsaken me, and have sacrificed to strange gods, to provoke me to wrath with all the works of their hands, therefore my wrath shall fall upon this place, and shall not be quenched.
26 и ко царю Иудину, иже посла вас ко Господу помолитися, тако глаголите ему: сия рече Господь Бог Израилев: словеса, яже слышал еси,
But as to the king of Juda that sent you to beseech the Lord, thus shall you say to him: Thus saith the Lord the God of Israel: Because thou hast heard the words of this book,
27 и сокрушися сердце твое, и смирился еси пред лицем Моим, егда услышал еси словеса Моя на место сие и на обитающих в нем, и смирился еси предо Мною, и растерзал еси ризы твоя, и плакал еси предо Мною, и Аз услышах, рече Господь:
And thy heart was softened. and thou hast humbled thyself in the sight of God for the things that are spoken against this place, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and reverencing my face, hast rent thy garments, and wept before me: I also have heard thee, saith the Lord.
28 се, приложу тя ко отцем твоим, и приложишися ко гробом твоим в мире, и не узрят очи твои всякаго зла, яже Аз наведу на место сие и на обитающих в нем. И возвестиша царю слово.
For now I will gather thee to thy fathers, and thou shalt be brought to thy tomb in peace: and thy eyes shall not see all the evil that I will bring upon this place, and the inhabitants thereof. They therefore reported to the king all that she had said.
29 И посла царь, и собра старейшины Иудины и Иерусалимли.
And he called together all the ancients of Juda and Jerusalem.
30 И взыде царь в дом Господень и вси мужие Иудины и живущии во Иерусалиме, и священницы и левити, и вси людие от мала даже до велика: и читаше во ушеса их вся словеса книги завета обретенныя в дому Господни.
And went up to the house of the Lord, and all the men of Juda, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the priests and the Levites, and all the people from the least to the greatest. And the king read in their hearing, in the house of the Lord, all the words of the book.
31 И ста царь на столпе, и завеща завет пред Господем ходити пред Господем, хранити заповеди Его и свидения Его и повеления Его всем сердцем и всею душею, еже творити словеса завета написанная в книзе сей.
And standing up in his tribunal, he made a covenant before the Lord to walk after him, and keep his commandments, and testimonies, and justifications with all his heart, and with all his soul, and to do the things that were written in that book which he had read.
32 И постави всех, иже обретени бяху во Иерусалиме и Вениамине, и сотвориша обитающии во Иерусалиме завет в дому Господа Бога отец своих.
And he adjured all that were found in Jerusalem and Benjamin to do the same: and the inhabitants of Jerusalem did according to the covenant of the Lord the God of their fathers.
33 И отя Иосиа вся мерзости от всея земли, яже бе сынов Израилевых, и сотвори всех обретшихся во Иерусалиме и во Израили служити Господу Богу своему во вся дни своя, и не уклонися от Господа Бога отец своих.
And Josias took away all the abominations out of all the countries of the children of Israel: and made all that were left in Israel, to serve the Lord their God. As long as he lived they departed not from the Lord the God of their fathers.
