1 В лето осмоенадесять царства Иеровоамля воцарися Авиа над Иудою:
In year eight-teen of the king Jeroboam and he became king Abijah over Judah.
2 три лета царствова во Иерусалиме. Имя же матери его Мааха дщерь Уриилева от Гаваона. И бе брань между Иеровоамом и между Авиею.
Three years he reigned in Jerusalem and [the] name of mother his [was] Micaiah [the] daughter of Uriel from Gibeah and war it was between Abijah and between Jeroboam.
3 И ополчися Авиа в силе воинския силы, в четырех стах тысящах мужей сильных: Иеровоам же устрои сопротиву его брань во осми стах тысящах мужей военных крепких силою.
And he bound Abijah the battle with an army of mighty [men] of war four hundred thousand man chosen. And Jeroboam he drew up in formation with him battle with eight hundred thousand man chosen mighty of strength.
4 Ста же Авиа на горе Сомори, яже есть на горе Ефремли, и рече: слышите Иеровоам и весь Израиль:
And he stood Abijah on [the] mountain of Zemaraim which [is] in [the] hill country of Ephraim and he said listen to me O Jeroboam and all Israel.
5 или не весте, яко Господь Бог Израилев даде царство Давиду над Израилем во веки и сыновом его в завет вечен?
¿ Not [belong] to you [does] to know that Yahweh - [the] God of Israel he has given kingship to David over Israel for ever to him and to descendants his a covenant of salt.
6 И воста Иеровоам сын Наватов, раб Соломона сына Давидова, и отвержеся от господина своего:
And he arose Jeroboam [the] son of Nebat [the] servant of Solomon [the] son of David and he rebelled on master his.
7 и собрашася к нему мужие пагубнии, сынове законопреступнии, и воста противу Ровоама сына Соломонова, Ровоам же бе юнейший и сердцем страшлив, и не возможе противостати лицу его:
And they gathered to him men empty sons of worthlessness and they proved themselves strong over Rehoboam [the] son of Solomon and Rehoboam he was a young man and weak of heart and not he showed himself strong before them.
8 и ныне вы глаголете противостати лицу царства Господня в руце сынов Давидовых: и вы мнози зело, и с вами телцы златии, ихже сотвори вам Иеровоам в боги:
And now - you [are] saying to show yourselves strong before [the] kingdom of Yahweh in [the] hand of [the] descendants of David and you [are] a multitude great and [are] with you calves of gold which he made for you Jeroboam to gods.
9 не извергосте ли священников Господних сынов Аароних и левитов, и сотвористе себе жерцы от людий всея земли, приходяй наполнити руку свою телцем от волов и овнами седмию, и сотворися жерцем не сущему богу:
¿ Not have you driven out [the] priests of Yahweh [the] descendants of Aaron and the Levites and you have appointed for yourselves priests like [the] peoples of the lands every [one who] comes to fill own hand his with a young bull a young one of cattle and rams seven and he will become a priest to not gods.
10 мы же Господа Бога нашего не оставихом, и священницы Его служат Господу, сынове Аарони и левити,
And we Yahweh [is] God our and not we have forsaken him and [we are] priests serving Yahweh [the] descendants of Aaron and the Levites [are] in the work.
11 и по чредам своим жрут Господу всесожжения утро и пред вечером, и фимиам сложения, и предложения хлебов на трапезе чистей, и светилник златый, и свещники возжжения возжизати к вечеру: мы бо храним стражбы Господа Бога отец наших, вы же Его остависте:
And [are] making smoke to Yahweh burnt offerings in the morning in the morning and in the evening in the evening and incense of perfume and [the] row of bread on the table clean and [the] lampstand of gold and lamps its to burn in the evening in the evening for [are] keeping we [the] duty of Yahweh God our and you you have forsaken him.
12 и се, с нами в начале Господь, и священницы Его, и трубы знаменования, еже знаменати противу вам: сынове Израилевы, не ратуйте противу Господа Бога отец ваших, понеже не благопоспешится вам.
And here! [is] with us at the head God - and priests his and [the] trumpets of the alarm to sound [the] battle signal on you O people of Israel may not you do battle with Yahweh [the] God of ancestors your for not you will succeed.
13 Иеровоам же обрати подсаду приити ему созади, и бысть противу Иуды (сам), подсада же созади.
And Jeroboam he had caused to go round the ambush to come from behind them and they were to front of Judah and the ambush [was] from behind them.
14 И обратися Иуда, и се, ему брань сопреди и созади, и возопиша ко Господу, и священницы вострубиша трубами:
And they turned Judah and there! [was] to them the battle before and behind and they cried out to Yahweh and the priests ([were] blowing a trumpet *Q(k)*) on trumpets.
15 и возопиша мужие Иудины. И бысть вопиющым мужем Иудиным, и Господь порази Иеровоама и Израиля пред Авиею и Иудою:
And they sounded [the] battle signal [the] man of Judah and it was when sounded [the] battle signal [the] man of Judah and God he defeated Jeroboam and all Israel before Abijah and Judah.
16 и бежаша сынове Израилевы от лица Иуды, и предаде их Господь Бог в руки их:
And they fled [the] people of Israel from before Judah and he gave them God in hand their.
17 и порази их Авиа и людие его язвою великою, и падоша ранени от Израиля пять сот тысящ мужей крепких.
And they struck down among them Abijah and people his a striking great and they fell slain of Israel five hundred thousand man chosen.
18 И смиришася сынове Израилевы в день той, и укрепишася сынове Иудины, яко уповаша на Господа Бога отец своих.
And they were humbled [the] people of Israel at the time that and they were strong [the] people of Judah for they depended on Yahweh [the] God of ancestors their.
19 Погна же Авиа вслед Иеровоама и взя от него грады: Вефиль и села его, и Иесину и села ея, и Ефрон и села его.
And he pursued Abijah after Jeroboam and he captured from him cities Beth-el and daughters its and Jeshanah and daughters its and (Ephrayin *Q(K)*) and daughters its.
20 И не возможе ктому противитися Иеровоам во вся дни Авии, и порази его Господь: и умре.
And not he retained [the] strength of Jeroboam again in [the] days of Abijah and he struck him Yahweh and he died.
21 Авиа же укрепися, и поят себе жен четыренадесять, и роди двадесять два сына и шестьнадесять дщерей.
And he strengthened himself Abijah and he took for himself wives four-teen and he fathered twenty and two sons and six-teen daughters.
22 Прочая же словеса Авиева и деяния его и словеса его писана в книзе Адды пророка.
And [the] rest of [the] matters of Abijah and ways his and words his [are] written in [the] record of the prophet Iddo.
