1 Zvino tichatii? Ticharambira muchivi kuti nyasha dziwande here?
What shall we then say? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
2 Ngazvisadaro! Isu takafa kuchivi, ticharamba tichirarama sei machiri?
Far be it: for if we are persons that have died to sin, how can we again live in it?
3 Kana hamuzivi here kuti isu tese takabhabhatidzwa muna Kristu Jesu, takabhabhatidzwa murufu rwake?
Or do ye not know, that we who are baptized into Jesus Messiah, are baptized into his death?
4 Naizvozvo takavigwa pamwe naye murufu nerubhabhatidzo; kuti sezvo Kristu akamutswa kubva kuvakafa nekubwinya kwaBaba, saizvozvo isuwo tifambe pautsva hweupenyu.
For we are buried with him in baptism unto death; that as Jesus Messiah arose from the dead into the glory of his Father, so also we, to walk in a new life.
5 Nokuti kana takadzvarwa pamwe pakufanana kwerufu rwake, asi tichadarowo pakumuka kwake;
For if we have been planted together with him into the likeness of his death, so shall we be also into his resurrection.
6 tichiziva izvi, kuti munhu wedu wekare wakarovererwa pamwe naye, kuti muviri wechivi uparadzwe, kuti isu tisachishumira chivi;
For we know, that our old man is crucified with him; that the body of sin might be abolished, and we be no more servants to sin:
7 nokuti uyo wakafa wakasunungurwa pachivi.
for he that is dead to it, is emancipated from sin.
8 Zvino kana takafa pamwe naKristu, tinotenda kuti tichararamawo pamwe naye;
If then we are dead with Messiah, let us believe that we shall live with the same Messiah.
9 tichiziva kuti Kristu amutswa kubva kuvakafa haafizve; rufu haruchina simba pamusoro pake.
For we know that Messiah rose from the dead, and no more dieth; death hath no dominion over him.
10 Nokuti pakuti wakafa, wakafa kamwe kuchivi; zvino pakuti anorarama, anorarama kuna Mwari.
For in dying, he died for sin, once; and in living, he liveth unto God.
11 Saizvozvo nemwi zviverengei semakafa zvirokwazvo kuchivi, asi munorarama kuna Mwari naKristu Jesu Ishe wedu.
So also do ye account yourselves as being dead to sin, and alive to God, through our Lord Jesus Messiah.
12 Naizvozvo chivi ngachirege kutonga mumuviri wenyu unofa, kuti muchiteerere kuchiva kwacho;
Therefore let not sin reign in your dead body, so that ye obey its lusts.
13 uye musapa mitezo yenyu ive midziyo yekusarurama kuchivi; asi muzvipe imwi kuna Mwari sevapenyu kubva kuvakafa, nemitezo yenyu ive midziyo yekururama kuna Mwari.
And also give not up your members as instruments of evil unto sin, but give up yourselves to God, as those who have been resuscitated from the dead; and let your members be instruments for the righteousness of God.
14 Nokuti chivi hachizotongi pamusoro penyu; nokuti hamusi pasi pemurairo, asi pasi penyasha.
And sin shall not have dominion over you; for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
15 Ko zvino? Tichatadza here, nokuti hatisi pasi pemurairo, asi pasi penyasha? Ngazvisadaro!
What then? Shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? Far be it.
16 Hamuzivi here kuti uyo wamunozvipa kwaari muve varanda vekumuteerera, muri varanda vaiye wamunoteerera; kana vechivi chinoisa kurufu, kana vekuteerera kunoisa kukururama?
Know ye not, that to whomsoever ye give up yourselves to serve in bondage, his servants ye are, whom ye serve; whether it be to sin, or whether it be to righteousness, that ye give ear?
17 Asi Mwari ngaavongwe, kuti maiva varanda vechivi, asi mava kuteerera kubva pamoyo muenzaniso wedzidziso wamakakumikidzwa kwauri;
But thanks be to God, that ye were once the servants of sin but have now from the heart obeyed that form of doctrine to which ye are devoted.
18 uye masunungurwa kubva pachivi, makaitwa varanda vekururama.
And when ye were emancipated from sin, ye became servants to righteousness.
19 Ndinotaura nenzira yevanhu nekuda kweutera hwenyama yenyu; nokuti sezvamakapa mitezo yenyu kuva varanda kutsvina neuipi zvinoisa kune zvakaipa, saizvozvo ikozvino ipai mitezo yenyu kuva varanda vekururama kunoisa kuutsvene.
-(I speak as among men, because of the infirmity of your flesh.)-As ye once gave up your members to the servitude of pollution and iniquity, so also now give ye up your members to the servitude of righteousness and sanctity.
20 Nokuti pamaiva varanda vechivi, makange makasununguka pakururama.
For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were emancipated from righteousness.
21 Naizvozvo maiva nechibereko chei panguva iyo pazvinhu izvo zvamava kunyadziswa nazvo ikozvino? Nokuti mugumo wezvinhu izvo rufu.
And what harvest had ye then, in that of which ye are now ashamed? For the result thereof is death.
22 Asi ikozvino zvamakasunungurwa pachivi, mukaitwa varanda kuna Mwari, mune chibereko chenyu chinoisa kuutsvene, uye mugumo upenyu husingaperi. (aiōnios g166)
And now, as ye have been emancipated from sin, and have become servants to God, your fruits are holy; and the result thereof is life everlasting. (aiōnios g166)
