< Mateo 10 >

1 Zvino wakadanira kwaari vadzidzi vake gumi nevaviri, akavapa simba pamusoro pemweya yetsvina, kuti vaibudise nekuporesa denda rese neurwere hwese.
So summoning His twelve disciples He gave them authority over unclean spirits so as to cast them out, and to heal every disease and every illness.
2 Zvino mazita evaapositori gumi nevaviri ndiwawa: Wekutanga, Simoni, anonzi Petro, naAndiriya munin'ina wake; Jakobho waZebhedhi, naJohwani munin'ina wake;
Now the names of the twelve apostles are these: first Simon (the one called Peter) and Andrew his brother, James (the son of Zebedee) and John his brother,
3 Firipi, naBhatoromeo; Tomasi, naMatewu muteresi; Jakobho waArifiyo, naRebheu wainziwo Tadhiyo;
Philip and Bartholomew, Thomas and Matthew (the tax collector), James (the son of Alphaeus) and Lebbaeus (who was surnamed Thaddeus),
4 Simoni muKenani, naJudhasi Isikariyoti iyewo wakamutengesa.
Simon (the Canaanite) and Judas Iscariot (who also betrayed Him).
5 Ava gumi nevaviri Jesu akavatuma, akavaraira, achiti: Musaenda munzira yevahedheni, musapinda muguta reVaSamaria;
These twelve Jesus sent out, and commanded them saying: “Do not go off into the road of the Gentiles, and do not enter a city of the Samaritans.
6 asi zvikuru muende kumakwai akarasika eimba yaIsraeri.
But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
7 Zvino pakufamba, muparidze muchiti: Ushe hwekumatenga hwaswedera.
And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of the heavens has come near.’
8 Poresai vanorwara, natsai vane maperembudzi, mutsai vakafa, budisai madhimoni. Makagamuchira pachena, ipai pachena.
Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. You have received free of charge, give free of charge.
9 Musawana goridhe, kana sirivheri, kana ndarira mumabhanhire enyu,
Do not provide gold nor silver nor copper in your money belts,
10 kana homwe yerwendo, kana nguvo refu mbiri, kana manyatera, kana tsvimbo; nokuti mushandi wakafanira kudya kwake.
nor a knapsack for the road, nor two tunics, nor sandals, nor staffs; because the worker is worthy of his food.
11 Muguta ripi neripi kana mumusha wamunopinda, bvunzai kuti ndiani mauri wakafanira, mugarepo, kusvikira muchibva.
“In whatever city or village you may enter, inquire who in it is worthy, and stay there until you go out.
12 Zvino kana muchipinda muimba, muikwazise.
Upon entering the house, greet it;
13 Uye kana imba yakafanira, rugare rwenyu ngaruuye pamusoro payo; asi kana isingafaniri, rugare rwenyu ngarudzokere kwamuri.
and should the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it; but should it not be worthy, let your peace return to you.
14 Uye ani nani usingakugamuchiriyi, kana kuteerera mashoko enyu, kana muchibuda paimba iyo kana paguta iro, zuzai guruva retsoka dzenyu.
And whoever will not receive you nor hear your words, as you go out from that house or city shake off the dust from your feet.
15 Zvirokwazvo ndinoti kwamuri: Zvichava nani kunyika yeSodhoma neyeGomora nezuva rekutongwa kupfuura guta iro.
Assuredly I say to you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the Day of judgment than for that city!
16 Tarirai, ini ndinokutumai semakwai pakati pemapumhi; naizvozvo chenjerai senyoka, mururame senjiva.
“Now then, I am sending you out like sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be prudent like snakes and innocent like doves.
17 Asi svinurirai vanhu; nokuti vachakukumikidzai kumatare emakurukota, uye vachakurovai netyava mumasinagoge avo;
But beware of the people, for they will hand you over to councils and flog you in their synagogues.
18 zvino muchauiswawo pamberi pevatungamiriri nemadzimambo nekuda kwangu, huve uchapupu kwavari nekuvahedheni.
And you will be brought before governors and even kings for my sake, as a testimony to them and to the nations.
19 Asi kana vachikukumikidzai, musafunganya kuti muchataura sei kana chii; nokuti muchapiwa nenguva iyo chamuchataura.
But whenever they hand you over, do not worry about how or what you will speak, for it will be given to you in that hour what you should speak;
20 Nokuti hamusi imwi munotaura, asi Mweya waBaba venyu anotaura mamuri.
for it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you.
21 Mwanakomana wamai achakumikidza mwanakomana wamai kurufu, nababa mwana; uye vana vachamukira vabereki nekuvauraya.
“Furthermore, brother will hand over brother to death, and a father a child, and children will rise up against parents and put them to death.
22 Uye muchavengwa nevese nekuda kwezita rangu; asi anotsungirira kusvika pakuguma, ndiye achaponeswa.
And you will be hated by all for my name's sake; but the one enduring to the end, he will be delivered.
23 Asi kana vachikushushai muguta iri, tizirai kune rimwe; nokuti zvirokwazvo ndinoti kwamuri: Hamungatongopedzi maguta aIsraeri, kusvikira Mwanakomana wemunhu asvika.
But whenever they persecute you in this city, flee to another. For assuredly I say to you, you will certainly not go through all the cities of Israel before the Son of the Man comes.
24 Mudzidzi haasi pamusoro pemudzidzisi, kana muranda pamusoro paishe wake.
A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a slave above his master.
25 Zvakaringanira mudzidzi kuti ave semudzidzisi wake, nemuranda saishe wake. Kana vaidza Ishe weimba kuti Bheerizebhuri, vachadaro zvikuru sei veimba yake!
It is enough for a disciple that he become like his teacher, and a slave like his master. Since they have stigmatized the master of the house as Beelzebul, how much more those of his household!
26 Naizvozvo musavatya; nokuti hakuna chakafukidzwa chisingazobvundunurwi, kana chakavanzika chisingazozikanwi.
So do not fear them; because there is nothing concealed that will not be revealed, and secret that will not be known.
27 Zvandinokuudzai murima, taurai pachiedza, nezvamunonzwa munzeve, paridzirai pamusoro pematenga edzimba.
“What I tell you in the dark, say in the light; and what you hear in the ear, proclaim on the housetops.
28 Uye musatya vanouraya muviri, asi havagoni kuuraya mweya; asi mutye zvikuru uyo anogona kuparadza zvese mweya nemuviri mugehena. (Geenna g1067)
And do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear the One who is able to destroy both soul and body in Hell. (Geenna g1067)
29 Ko tushiri tuviri hatutengeswi nekobiri here? Asi kamwe kadzo hakangawiri pasi kunze kwekuda kwaBaba venyu.
Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father's will.
30 Asi nevhudzi remusoro wenyu rakaverengwa rese.
Why even the hairs of your head are all numbered!
31 Naizvozvo musatya, imwi munopfuura tushiri tuzhinji.
Therefore do not be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
32 Naizvozvo umwe neumwe achandibvuma pamberi pevanhu, ini ndichamubvumawo pamberi paBaba vangu vari kumatenga.
“Now then, everyone who will confess me before the people, I will also confess him before my Father who is in the heavens.
33 Asi ani nani anondiramba pamberi pevanhu, neni ndichamuramba pamberi paBaba vangu vari kumatenga.
But whoever should deny me before the people, I will also deny him before my Father who is in the heavens.
34 Musafunga kuti ndakauya kuzoisa rugare panyika; handina kuuya kuzoisa rugare, asi munondo.
“Do not suppose that I came to bring peace on the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.
35 Nokuti ndakauya kuzopesanisa munhu nababa vake, nemukunda namai vake, nemuroora navamwene vake;
For I came to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law;
36 nevavengi vemunhu ndeveimba yake.
and a man's enemies will be those of his own household.
37 Anoda baba kana mai kupfuura ini haana kufanira ini; neanoda mwanakomana kana mukunda kupfuura ini haana kufanira ini;
“The one who is more devoted to father or mother than to me is not worthy of me, and the one who is more devoted to son or daughter than to me is not worthy of me;
38 uye asingatori muchinjikwa wake akanditevera, haana kufanira ini.
and he who does not take up his cross and follow after me is not worthy of me.
39 Anowana mweya wake acharasikirwa nawo; asi anorasikirwa nemweya wake nekuda kwangu achauwana.
The one ‘finding’ his life will lose it, and the one ‘losing’ his life for my sake will find it.
40 Uyo anogamuchira imwi anogamuchira ini; neanogamuchira ini anogamuchira iye wakandituma.
“The one receiving you receives me, and the one receiving me receives the One who sent me.
41 Anogamuchira muporofita muzita remuporofita achawana mubairo wemuporofita; neanogamuchira wakarurama muzita rewakarurama achawana mubairo wewakarurama.
The one receiving a prophet in the name of a prophet will receive a prophet's reward, and the one receiving a righteous man in the name of a righteous man will receive a righteous man's reward.
42 Uye ani nani anonwisa umwe wevadiki ava mukombe chete wemvura inotonhorera muzita remudzidzi, zvirokwazvo ndinoti kwamuri: Haangatongorasikirwi nemubairo wake.
And whoever should give so much as a cup of cold water to one of these little ones, in the name of a disciple, assuredly I say to you, he will certainly not lose his reward.”
