< Johani 10 >

1 Zvirokwazvo, zvirokwazvo, ndinoti kwamuri: Asingapindi napamukova mudanga remakwai, asi anokwira nekumwe, ndiye mbavha negororo.
“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the gate but climbs in by another way is a thief and a robber.
2 Zvino anopinda nepamukova mufudzi wemakwai.
But he who enters by the gate is the shepherd of the sheep.
3 Murindi wemukova anomuzarurira, nemakwai anonzwa inzwi rake, uye anodana makwai ake nezita, nekuatungamirira kunze.
The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep hear his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.
4 Uye kana abudisa makwai ake, anoatungamirira; nemakwai anomutevera, nokuti anoziva inzwi rake.
When he has brought out his own sheep, he goes ahead of them, and the sheep follow him because they recognize his voice.
5 Asi mweni haangatongomuteveri, asi anomutiza; nokuti haazivi inzwi revaeni.
They will certainly not follow a stranger, but will flee from him because they do not recognize the voice of strangers.”
6 Jesu wakareva dimikira iri kwavari; asi ivo havana kunzwisisa, kuti zvinhui zvaakataura kwavari.
Jesus spoke to them with this figure of speech, but they did not understand what he was saying to them.
7 Zvino Jesu akati kwavarizve: Zvirokwazvo, zvirokwazvo, ndinoti kwamuri: Ini ndiri mukova wemakwai;
So Jesus said to them again, “Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the gate for the sheep.
8 vese vakanditangira kuuya imbavha nemakororo, asi makwai haana kuvanzwa.
All who came previously are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them.
9 Ini ndiri mukova; kana munhu achipinda neni, achaponeswa, achapinda nekubuda, nekuwana mafuro.
I am the gate; if anyone enters through me, he will be saved and will come in and go out and find pasture.
10 Mbavha haiui asi kungozoba nekuuraya nekuparadza; ini ndakauya, kuti vave neupenyu, uye vave nehunopfachukira.
The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. I have come that they may have life, and have it abundantly.
11 Ini ndiri mufudzi wakanaka. Mufudzi wakanaka anoradzikira pasi makwai upenyu hwake.
I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
12 Asi muricho, asati ari mufudzi, makwai asati ari ake pachake, anoona bumhi richiuya, akasiya makwai, ndokutiza; bumhi rinoabata, nekuparadzira makwai.
But the hired hand is not the shepherd and does not own the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he leaves the sheep and flees, and the wolf snatches the sheep and scatters them.
13 Muricho anotiza nokuti muricho, uye haana hanya nemakwai.
The hired hand flees, for he is a hired hand and does not care about the sheep.
14 Ini ndiri mufudzi wakanaka, uye ndinoziva angu, ndinozikanwa neangu.
I am the good shepherd. I know my sheep and my sheep know me,
15 Baba sezvavanondiziva, neni ndinoziva Baba; zvino ndinoradzikira pasi makwai upenyu hwangu.
even as the Father knows me and I know the Father. I lay down my life for the sheep.
16 Nemamwe makwai ndinawo, asati ari edanga rino. Naiwo ndinofanira kuuya nawo, achanzwa inzwi rangu; uye rive boka rimwe mufudzi umwe.
I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them in as well, and they will hear my voice. And there will be one flock with one shepherd.
17 Nekuda kwaizvozvo Baba vanondida, nokuti ini ndinoradzika upenyu hwangu pasi, kuti ndihutorezve.
This is why the Father loves me, because I lay down my life so that I may take it up again.
18 Hakuna angahutora kubva kwandiri, asi ini ndinohuradzika pasi pachangu. Simba ndinaro rekuhuradzika pasi, uye simba ndinaro rekuhutorazve. Uyu murairo ndakaugamuchira kuna Baba vangu.
No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. I received this commandment from my Father.”
19 Naizvozvo kukavapozve kupesana pakati peVaJudha nekuda kwemashoko awa.
At these words there was again a division among the Jews.
20 Vazhinji vavo vakati: Ane dhimoni uye anopenga; munomuteererei?
Many of them were saying, “He has a demon and is out of his mind; why do you listen to him?”
21 Vamwe vakati: Mashoko awa haasi eane dhimoni; ko dhimoni ringagona kusvinudza meso emapofu here?
Others were saying, “These are not the words of a man possessed by a demon. Can a demon open the eyes of the blind?”
22 Zvino paiva nemutambo wekuvandudza paJerusarema, chaiva chando;
Now it was the Feast of the Dedication in Jerusalem. It was winter,
23 Jesu ndokufamba-famba mutembere muberere raSoromoni.
and Jesus was walking in the temple courts, in Solomon's Portico.
24 Zvino VaJudha vakamukomba, vakati kwaari: Kusvikira rinhi uchigara wakaremberedza mweya wedu? Kana uri Kristu iwe, tiudze pachena.
So the Jews gathered around him and said to him, “How long are yoʋ going to keep us in suspense? If yoʋ are the Christ, tell us plainly.”
25 Jesu akavapindura akati: Ndakakuudzai, asi hamuna kutenda; mabasa andinoita ini muzita raBaba vangu ndiwo anopupura nezvangu;
Jesus answered them, “I did tell you, but you do not believe. The works that I do in my Father's name testify about me,
26 asi imwi hamutendi; nokuti hamusi vemakwai angu, sezvandakareva kwamuri.
but you do not believe because you are not among my sheep, just as I told you.
27 Makwai angu anonzwa inzwi rangu, neni ndinoaziva, uye anonditevera;
My sheep hear my voice; I know them, and they follow me.
28 uye ini ndinoapa upenyu husingaperi; uye haachatongoparari nekusingaperi, uye hakuna umwe achaabvuta muruoko rwangu. (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166)
I give them eternal life, and they will certainly never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166)
29 Baba vangu vakandipa iwo vakuru kune vese; uye hakuna anogona kuabvuta muruoko rwaBaba vangu.
My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of my Father's hand.
30 Ini naBaba tiri umwe.
The Father and I are one.”
31 Naizvozvo VaJudha vakanongazve mabwe, kuti vamutake.
Then the Jews picked up stones again to stone him.
32 Jesu akavapindura akati: Ndakakuratidzai mabasa mazhinji akanaka kubva kuna Baba vangu; nderipi remabasa awa ramunonditakira?
In response Jesus said to them, “I have shown you many good works from my Father; for which of these works are you going to stone me?”
33 VaJudha vakamupindura vachiti: Hatikutakiri basa rakanaka, asi kunyomba; uye nokuti iwe uri munhu unozviita Mwari.
The Jews answered him, “We are not going to stone yoʋ for any good work, but for blasphemy, because yoʋ, who are just a man, make yoʋrself out to be God.”
34 Jesu akavapindura akati: Hazvina kunyorwa here mumurairo wenyu, zvichinzi: Ini ndakati: Muri vamwari?
Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, you are gods’?
35 Kana akavaidza vamwari, ivo shoko raMwari rakasvika kwavari, uye rugwaro harwugoni kuputswa;
If he called them ‘gods,’ to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken),
36 imwi munoti kune uyo Baba vakamuita mutsvene vakamutuma panyika: Unonyomba, nokuti ndati: Ndiri Mwanakomana waMwari?
do you say of him whom the Father consecrated and sent into the world, ‘Yoʋ are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of God’?
37 Kana ndisingaiti mabasa aBaba vangu, musanditenda.
If I do not do the works of my Father, do not believe me.
38 Asi kana ndichiaita, kunyange musingatendi ini, tendai mabasa; kuti muzive nekutenda kuti Baba vari mandiri, neni mavari.
But if I do them, even if you do not believe me, believe the works, so that you may know and believe that the Father is in me and I in him.”
39 Zvino vakatsvakazve kumubata; asi wakabuda paruoko rwavo.
Once again they tried to arrest him, but he eluded their grasp.
40 Zvino akaendazve mhiri kwaJoridhani kunzvimbo Johwani kwaaibhabhatidza pakutanga; ndokugarapo.
Then Jesus went away again to the other side of the Jordan, to the place where John had been baptizing at first, and he stayed there.
41 Zvino vazhinji vakauya kwaari vakati: Johwani haana kuita chiratidzo, asi chese Johwani chaakareva pamusoro peuyu chaiva chokwadi.
Many came to him and were saying, “John did no sign, but everything that John said about this man was true.”
42 Vazhinji ndokutenda kwaari ipapo.
And many of the people there believed in Jesus.
