1 Zvino ini, hama, pakusvika kwangu kwamuri, handina kusvika neunyanzvi hweshoko kana hwenjere, ndichiparidza kwamuri uchapupu hwaMwari.

And I brethren when I came to you came not in gloriousnes of wordes or of wysdome shewynge vnto you the testimony of God.

2 Nokuti ndakagura kuti ndisaziva chinhu pakati penyu, kunze kwaJesu Kristu, naiye wakarovererwa pamuchinjikwa.

Nether shewed I my selfe that I knewe eny thinge amonge you save Iesus Christ eve the same that was crucified.

3 Uye ini ndakange ndinemwi muutera nemukutya nemukudedera kukuru.

And I was amoge you in weaknes and in feare and in moche treblinge.

4 Neshoko rangu nemharidzo yangu hazvina kuva nemashoko ekugombedzera enjere dzevanhu, asi mukuratidza kweMweya nekwesimba;

And my wordes and my preachinge were not with entysynge wordes of manes wysdome: but in shewinge of ye sprete and of power

5 kuti rutendo rwenyu rwurege kuva munjere dzevanhu, asi musimba raMwari.

that youre fayth shuld not stonde in ye wysdome of me but in yt power of God.

6 Asi njere tinodzitaura pakati pevakakwana, asi njere dzisati dziri dzenyika ino, kana dzevatongi venyika ino, vanozoshaiswa maturo; (aiōn g165)

That we speake of is wysdome amonge them that are perfecte: not the wysdome of this worlde nether of the rulars of this worlde (which go to nought) (aiōn g165)

7 asi tinotaura njere dzaMwari muchakavanzika, dzakavigwa, Mwari dzaakagara agadza nyika isati yavapo dzive kubwinya kwedu; (aiōn g165)

but we speake ye wysdome of God which is in secrete and lieth hyd which God ordeyned before the worlde vnto oure glory: (aiōn g165)

8 dzisina umwe wevatongi venyika ino wakaziva; nokuti dai vakaziva, vangadai vasina kuroverera pamuchinjikwa Ishe wekubwinya. (aiōn g165)

which wysdome none of ye rulars of the worlde knewe. For had they knowe it they wolde not have crucified the Lorde of glory. (aiōn g165)

9 Asi sezvazvakanyorwa zvichinzi: Izvo ziso zvarisina kuona, nenzeve zvaisina kunzwa, nezvisina kupinda mumoyo wemunhu, izvo Mwari zvaakagadzirira vanomuda.

But as it is written: The eye hath not sene and the eare hath not hearde nether have entred into the herte of man ye thinges which God hath prepared for them that love him.

10 Asi Mwari wakazarurira isu neMweya wake; nokuti Mweya unonzvera zvinhu zvese, kunyange zvinhu zvakadzika zvaMwari.

But God hath opened them vnto vs by his sprete. For ye sprete searcheth all thinges ye the bottome of Goddes secretes.

11 Nokuti ndiani pavanhu anoziva zvemunhu, kunze kwemweya wemunhu uri maari? Saizvozvowo zvaMwari hakuna munhu anoziva, kunze kweMweya waMwari.

For what man knoweth the thinges of a ma: save ye sprete of a man which is with in him? Even so ye thinges of God knoweth no man but ye sprete of god.

12 Nesu hatina kugamuchira mweya wenyika, asi Mweya unobva kuna Mwari, kuti tizive zvinhu zvatinopiwa pachena naMwari;

And we have not receaved the sprete of ye worlde: but the sprete which cometh of god for to knowe the thinges that are geve to vs of god

13 zvatinotaurawo, kwete mumashoko njere dzevanhu adzinodzidzisa, asi Mweya Mutsvene waanodzidzisa, tichienzanisa zvemweya nezvemweya.

which thinges also we speake not in the conynge wordes of manes wysdome but with the conynge wordes of the holy goost makynge spretuall coparesons of spretuall thinges.

14 Asi munhu wechisikirwo haagamuchiri zvinhu zveMweya waMwari; nokuti upenzi kwaari, uye haagoni kunzwisisa, nokuti zvinonzverwa pamweya.

For ye naturall man perceaveth not the thinges of the sprete of god. For they are but folysshnes vnto him. Nether can he perceave them because he is spretually examined.

15 Asi wemweya anonzvera zvinhu zvese, asi iye haanzverwi nemunhu.

But he that is spretuall discusseth all thinges: yet he him selfe is iudged of no ma.

16 Nokuti ndiani wakaziva fungwa yaIshe, kuti amuraire? Asi isu tine fungwa yaKristu.

For who knoweth the mynde of the Lorde other who shall informe him? But we vnderstonde the mynde of Christ.
