Mapisarema 99

1 Jehovha anobata ushe, ndudzi ngadzidedere; anogara pachigaro choushe chiri pakati pamakerubhi, nyika ngaizungunuke.

The Lord reigneth; people tremble: he sitteth enthroned over the cherubim; the earth is moved.

2 Jehovha mukuru paZioni; iye akasimudzirwa pamusoro pendudzi dzose.

The Lord is great in Zion; and he is exalted above all the people.

3 Ngavarumbidze zita renyu guru rinotyisa, iye mutsvene.

They will give thanks to thy name, great, and terrible, [and] holy it is.

4 Mambo mukuru, anoda kururamisira, imi makasimbisa kururama; muna Jakobho makaita kururamisira nokururama.

And to the power of the king who loveth justice and righteousness hast thou truly executed in Jacob.

5 Kudzai Jehovha Mwari wedu nokunamata pachitsiko chetsoka dzake; iye mutsvene.

Exalt ye the Lord our God, and bow yourselves down before his footstool: he is holy.—

6 Mozisi naAroni vakanga vari pakati pavaprista vake, Samueri akanga ari pakati paavo vaidana kuzita rake, vakadana kuna Jehovha akavapindura.

Moses and Aaron were among his priests, and Samuel among those that call on his name; they called on the Lord, and he answered them.

7 Akataura kwavari ari mushongwe yegore; vakachengeta zvaakatema nemitemo yaakavapa.

In the pillar of cloud he used to speak unto them: they kept his testimonies, and the statutes which he had given unto them.

8 Haiwa Jehovha Mwari wedu, imi makavapindura; makanga muri Mwari anokanganwira kuna Israeri, kunyange makavaranga pane zvavakaita.

O Lord, our God, thou didst answer them: thou wast a forgiving God unto them, yet also an avenger for their wrong doings.

9 Kudzai Jehovha Mwari wedu mumunamate pagomo rake dzvene, nokuti Jehovha Mwari wedu ndiye mutsvene.

Exalt the Lord our God, and bow yourselves down before his holy mount; for holy is the Lord our God.
