< Mapisarema 95 >
1 Uyai, tiimbire Jehovha nomufaro; ngatidanidzirei kuDombo roruponeso rwedu.
Come! Let us ring out our joy to the Lord, let us merrily shout to our rock of salvation.
2 Ngatisvikei pamberi pake nokuvonga uye timukudze nenziyo.
Before his face let us come with thanks, with songs of praise let us shout to him.
3 Nokuti Jehovha ndiye Mwari mukuru, Mambo mukuru pamusoro pavamwari vose.
For the Lord is a great God, king above all gods.
4 Nzvimbo dzakadzika dzapanyika dziri muruoko rwake, uye misoro yamakomo ndeyake.
In his hand are the depths of the earth, the heights of the mountains are his.
5 Gungwa nderake, nokuti ndiye akariita, uye maoko ake akaumba nyika yakaoma.
The sea is his, for he made it: the dry land was formed by his hands.
6 Uyai tikotame, tinamate, ngatipfugamei pamberi paJehovha Muiti wedu;
Come! Let us worship and bow on our knees to the Lord our creator.
7 nokuti ndiye Mwari wedu, uye isu tiri vanhu vanofudzwa naye, makwai anochengetwa naye. Nhasi kana muchinzwa inzwi rake,
For he is our God; and we are the people he tends, the sheep in his care. If only you would heed his voice today:
8 musaomesa mwoyo yenyu sezvamakaita paMeribha, sezvamakaita pazuva riya paMasa mugwenga,
“Do not harden your hearts as at Meribah, or at Massah, that day in the desert,
9 pandakaedzwa namadzibaba enyu kunyange vakanga vaona zvandakanga ndaita.
when your ancestors tempted and tried me, though they had seen my deeds.
10 Ndakatsamwira rudzi urwu kwamakore makumi mana; ndakati, “Ava vanhu vane mwoyo yakatsauka, uye havana kuziva nzira dzangu.”
“For forty years I was filled with loathing for that generation, so I said: ‘A people with wandering hearts are they, and ignorant of my ways.’
11 Saka ndakapika pakutsamwa kwangu ndikati, “Havangazombopindi pazororo rangu.”
So I solemnly swore to them in my anger, that never would they enter my place of rest.”
